as vinnie lets go of you, you look at him.
"my moms here."
"no way is she really?"
"yup."
you start to walk out of vinnies room, him following close behind.
as you walk downstairs, you see your mom in the living room talking to kouvr.
"oh, there she is. and this is vinnie i'm assuming?"
"yup. i'm vinnie. it's so nice to meet you."
vinnie hugs your mom.
"y/n's told me a lot about you."
"has she really?"
vinnie looks at you and smirks.
you can feel your face getting red from embarrassment.
"mom, let's bring your stuff into your room?"
"sure sweetie."
as you walk towards the room she's going to stay in you purposely elbow vinnie in the side.
he looks at you and laughs.
after you help your mom get situated, you walk back into the living room where you see vinnie and kouvr standing there.
"i'm going to go grab my stuff from the car."
"i can help you."
you smile at vinnie as he follows you out to your moms vehicle.
opening the back doors, you and vinnie start by taking out the three boxes filled with things.
vinnie is holding two and you have one.
you and vinnie walk through the front door and up to your room.
after placing the three boxes on your floor, you walk back down to grab your suitcases.
as you're about to grab one, vinnie beats you to it.
"i got them."
"are you sure?"
"obviously. i mean look at my muscles."
vinnie lets go of the bags so he can flex.
you laugh and he grabs the suitcases again.
he carries them upstairs and into your room.
"ok y/n we are shopping for your room now."
"ooh ok."
"i want to help."
you turn to see your mom.
although you're suprised your mom wants to help, you, kouvr, and your mom all walk upstairs to your new room to start shopping.
after looking through different possible decorations for your room, you guys decide to call it a night.
it's 8pm but you and your mom are exhausted.
"i think im gonna go to bed."
"goodnight mom."
"goodnight y/n. goodnight kouvr."
"goodnight."
your mom walks downstairs to her room.
"wanna get a snack?"
"sure."
you follow kouvr downstairs and sit at the counter.
as kouvr looks through the pantry you speak up.
"we should do something tomorrow while my mom is here."
"that would be fun."
"like what though?"
"hmm. tell vinnie to come down here so we can all plan something."
unlocking your phone, you text vinnie.
"come downstairs me and kouvr need u"
vinnie instantly reads it.
twenty seconds later, you hear vinnie coming down the stairs.
kouvr slides you the container of raspberries.
"what's up?"
"i want to do something tomorrow while my mom is here but me and kouvr don't know what to do."
"don't ask me i'm horrible at coming up with places to go to."
are you really?
your choice of bringing me to the spot says otherwise.
vinnie sits down next to you and grabs a raspberry.
"we're serious vinnie. what can we do that's fun?"
"i don't know, go to dinner or something."
you look at both vinnie and kouvr.
"i think she would like that."
"perfect. we'll go to dinner."
vinnie gets up and walks over to the fridge.
he grabs a bottle of water and takes off the cap.
"who's bathroom am i going to use?"
kouvr and vinnie both look at you.
"you can use mine. or vinnies since his is closer. like super close to your room."
you look at vinnie.
"yeah you can use mine if you want to. it's not a big deal."
why would kouvr even suggest me using his?
this is going to get real awkward real fast.
"are you sure?"
"i'm positive."
"ok i guess i'll use vinnies."
"go put all of your stuff in there right now so it's all set up for you."
kouvr looks at you and laughs.
"stuff, really vinnie?"
you laugh.
vinnie puts his shoulders up.
"i don't know what girls use."
you and kouvr both laugh.
you stand up to go and put your stuff away.
"i'll show you where everything is in there."
vinnie follows close behind up the stairs and down the hall towards his room.
before you go in his room, you stop at your to grab your things.
walking into vinnies bathroom, it's surprisingly clean.
everything is neat and organized.
"you can put all of your shower stuff on this shelf and then whatever else you have can be put in these three drawers on the bottom."
after you put all of your stuff away, you only ended up taking up two drawers.
walking out of vinnies room, you see him laying on his bed scrolling through instagram.
"vinnie?"
"hm."
"do you mind if i take a shower?"
he sits up and laughs.
"you know you don't have to ask right? it's our bathroom now, not just mine."
ours?
you smile at him and walk to your bedroom to grab your clothes.
after grabbing a tank top and boxers to wear as shorts, you walk back through vinnies room and into the bathroom.
"y/n."
"yeah?"
"do you need help finding anything like towels or something?"
"i'll be good. thank you though."
vinnie smiles at you as you close and lock the door.
turning on the shower, you feel the cold water trickling down your face.
after showering, you turn the water off and squeeze the access water out of your hair.
stepping out of the shower, you wrap yourself in a towel.
walking over to the mirror, you brush through your cold, wet hair.
next, you reach down to the drawers you now have claimed and grab your deodorant.
after applying that, you change into the clothes you brought in.
once you are fully dressed, you unlock the door and walk out.
once again, you catch vinnie looking at you.
"what?"
"nothing."
you roll your eyes.
"where do you want me to put my towel?"
"there's a towel basket in there. just put it in there."
walking back into the bathroom, you place the towel in the basket.
as you walk back into vinnies room, he looks at you.
"come here."
you walk over to him and sit next to him on the edge of his bed.
"have you been on social media at all since you got here?"
"not really."
"well me and you are all over tea pages. literally on every single one."
"let me see."
vinnie turns his phone so you can see.
you read the caption.
"so vinnie hacker has a girlfriend and we never knew?"
"do they not know that we haven't even known each other for two weeks?"
"guess not."
you both laugh.
looking more at the post, you see that vinnie commented.
"that's my friend that's a girl. not my girlfriend. y'all are dumb fr."
you laugh.
"i'm gonna go to bed i'm super tired."
"goodnight y/n."
"goodnight vinnie."
as you're walking out of his room, you're stopped by his hand wrapped around your wrist.
you turn around.
"wanna facetime?"
you smile at him.
"so funny."
he smiles at you as you walk into your room.
laying down in bed, you fall asleep almost immediately.
waking up, you look around.
this is my room now.
standing up, you see your suitcases on the ground.
i should probably unpack now so i don't have to worry about it later.
as you're unpacking your clothes, you check the time.
7:53am.
once you're done packing, you lay back in bed.
as you're scrolling through instagram, you remember you have to go through vinnies room to get to the bathroom to wash your face.

getting up, you walk out the door and face towards vinnies room.
lightly tapping on the door, no answer.
as you slowly open the door, it creaks.
stepping in, you see vinnie asleep, his arms around his pillow.
you walk into the bathroom and wash your face.
once you're done, you walk back through vinnies room and walk out the door.
before closing it, you look back one last time.
he's adorable.
walking downstairs, you walk towards your moms room.
peeking in, you see her awake.
"hey mom."
"hi sweetie. how'd you sleep?"
"good."
your mom picks up her pillow.
"i need these at our house."
you laugh and sit on her bed.
"so i think we're going to go out to eat later."
"that sounds fun."
"during the day we can just hang around here."
"ok."
"when are you leaving?"
"i'm going to leave here tomorrow morning at about 3am."
your stomach dropped.
she's really leaving.
she's going to go home to an empty house.
and i'm going to be here alone.
without my mom.
"ok. i'm going to go make breakfast."
she smiles at you.
walking into the kitchen, you make yourself breakfast.
it's nothing much.
just avocado toast and a bowl of raspberries.
after you're done eating, you sit in the living room and scroll through tiktok.
after about an hour, kouvr finally wakes up and walks downstairs.
"good morning."
"morning kouvr."
kouvr walks into the kitchen.
you flip over on the bean bag chair so you're now laying on your stomach facing the window.
you watch tik toks for about twenty more minutes.
as you're watching tiktoks, you feel hands grab your waist and it makes you jump.
quickly flipping around, you see vinnie.
"made you jump."
you smile at him and he sits on the side of the bean bag chair next to you.
now, you're laying on your back again.
"doing anything fun today?"
"i think we're just going to stay around here until it's time for dinner."
"ok."
"we should go to an early dinner so my mom doesn't get back to late."
"we could go at like 5."
you nod in approval.
"scoot over."
moving to the side, vinnie now lays next to you.
he's no longer sitting on the side of the bean bag chair.
you're close but not to close.
it's a comfortable close.
kouvr walks out of the kitchen and sees that vinnie has now laid next to you.
but she doesn't say a word.
all she does is sit down on the couch across from you.
after laying like that for a bit, you get up.
"we should get food."
kouvr looks at you.
"like what?"
"i don't know. anything."
"how about chipotle?"
you turn to vinnie and back to kouvr.
"that sounds good."
kouvr stands up.
"let's go."
vinnie taps the back of your leg and holds his hands out.
"help me up."
reaching your hands out, you grab his hands and pull him up.
before walking out the door, you tell your mom where you're going.
walking into her room, you see her watching tv in bed.
"hey, we're going to get chipotle, do you want anything?"
"i'm all set, thank you though."
you smile at her and walk out of her room.
following vinnie and kouvr, you walk to kouvrs car.
kouvr sits in the drivers seat, you in the passenger seat, and vinnie behind kouvr.
you all drive to chipotle and get your food.
everyone eats on the way home.
the rest of the day leading up to dinner was nothing special.
everyone just laid around the house.
but it felt so good to you.
you were still exhausted from all of your traveling.
now, it's 4pm.
walking upstairs, you go into your room and get dressed.
after getting dressed, you knock on vinnies door.
"come in."
"i just need to get ready real quick."
"crap. i probably should too."
vinnie was still in his grey sweatpants and black tshirt.
walking into his bathroom, you pull out your makeup bag from the bottom drawer.
all you put on is mascara and lip gloss.
as you're putting on lip gloss, vinnie walks in.
he starts fixing his hair.
we are going to have to live like this.
always getting ready together.

putting away your makeup, you grab your hairbrush and start brushing your hair.
"what are you going to wear?"
"i don't know. probably just a t shirt and jeans."
as he's trying to fix his hair, he gives up.
"i'm just putting on a hat i can't deal with this."
looking at his hair, you see part of it sticking straight up.
you laugh.
to get payback, vinnie ruffles the top of your head with his hand, causing your hair to be messy again.
"VINNIE"
he looks at you and laughs before walking out of the bathroom.
you rebrush your hair and put the brush away.
lastly, you put on perfume.
after you felt satisfied with the way you looked, you walked back into his room.
vinnie looks up from his phone and looks at you.
"you look really pretty."
"thank you."
you smile at him and walk out of his room.
to kill time before you leave, you scroll through instagram.
once it's 4:30pm, you get up and knock on vinnies door.
"come in."
"ready to go?"
"yup."
you and vinnie walk out and head downstairs.
you see your mom and kouvr downstairs talking.
"ready?"
"yup."
you all walk out to kouvrs car.
you and vinnie are in the back seat.
"alex, mia, and thomas will meet us there."
you smile at her.
once you get to the restaurant, you all sit down and order.
the dinner was amazing.
it was really nice to be able to spend time with your mom.
while you can.
driving home, kouvr turns to your mom.
"so you're leaving early tomorrow?"
"yes."
"we'll take good care of y/n."
she smiles at kouvr and turns to you.
"i'm sure you will."
the rest of the ride home is just small talk between kouvr and your mom.
vinnie was quiet.
he was thinking about something.
but you didn't know what it was.
vinnies pov:
i have to protect her.
i cant let her feel alone.
she's leaving all she has.
and now i have to be what she has.
you finally arrive home and you all walk into the house.
"i'm going to get to bed. i have a long few days ahead of me."
kouvr gives your mom a hug.
"i'll be up to say goodbye."
even though you're going to see her before she leaves, she still hugs you.
letting go, she turns to vinnie.
"it was so nice meeting you."
"you too vinnie. you seem like a very pure and good person."
what she says makes you smile.
i'm glad she likes him.
"goodnight everyone."
"goodnight."
"goodnight."
"goodnight mom. love you."
you mom walks into her room and closes her door.
kouvr turns to you and vinnie.
"movie night?"
"sure."
you all watch a movie in the living room before going to bed.
you all walk upstairs and go into your rooms.
before you go to bed, you set an alarm for when your mom leaves.
once the alarm is made, you close your eyes and quickly fall asleep.
*beep beep beep*
opening your eyes, it's still dark out.
you get up and walk down stairs.
walking over to your moms room, you see her closing her suitcase.
"you ready?"
"yup."
she rolls her suitcase to the front door and hugs you.
"make sure you call me everyday."
"i will."
"come visit a lot."
"i will."
"be safe."
"i will"
"i love you y/n."
"i love you."
as she lets go, you feel your emotions kick in.
as she walks out the door, you feel a tear run down your cheek.
turning around, you walk upstairs.
at this point, it's not just a tear or two.
its a lot.
walking down the hallway, you have your head down.
as you're about to reach your room, you hear a door open.
looking up, you see vinnie standing at the door way.
you lock eyes but you don't run to him like you want to.
all you do is walk into your room and close your door.
vinnies pov:
she's crying.
and there is nothing i can do to take her pain away.
absolutely nothing.
and that hurts.
