It was now night as Y/n was seen watching over Jaune's training at the Heart of the Giants, until she felt a presence behind her back as she turn to see it was no other than Ozpin.
Ozpin:"Well, it's no surprise they picked you to go to the final round of the tournament. You're peformance and teamwork has been excellent."
Y/n*whisper*:"Uncle Oz, I mean Headmaster!! What are you doing, here?"
Qrow then jump out a tree and landed next to Ozpin.
Qrow:"Oh, looks like Jimmy isn't the only one with secrets." he said in a sarcastic tone towards Ozpin.
Y/n then raised an eyebrow.
Y/n:"Sorry, but I don't think we were introduced." she said to Qrow.
Qrow:"The name is Qrow, Zatara junior." he said as he move her top hat a little bit.
Y/n:"How did you-" before she could've even asked, Ozpin cut her off.
Ozpin:"Qrow is a colleague I trust."
Y/n then look back at Qrow in suspicioun as Qrow just raised an eyebrow.
Y/n:"Professor, if you don't mind the question... Why did you come here?"
Ozpin:"Let's take a seat." he said as he summoned a bunch of rocks as the two sits.
Qrow then lean next to a tree watching what Jaune was doing.
Ozpin:"What is your favorite fairy tale?"
Y/n:"Erm....you know I'm not a kid anymore right?" she questioned Ozpin.
Ozpin just smiled.
Ozpin:"I know, I know, you're no longer a child but the Fairy tales, stories from your childhood, you must surely remember some."
Y/n:"Well...There is...The tale of the two brothers, the shallow sea, the girl in the tower-" however Ozpin then cut her off.
Ozpin:"And the history, of the seasons?"
Y/n then smiled.
Y/n:"A grim man who refuses to leave his home is visited by four traveling sisters. The first understands his reclusive nature, and... insists that he use his time in seclusion to reflect and meditate. Ozpin:"Would you believe me if I said it's been told since I was a boy?" he asked her with a smile.
Y/n:"You're not so old Uncle Oz."she said smiling at him.
Ozpin:"Well... Would you believe me if I said it's true?" he asked her.
Y/n:"Well, you're quite unpredictable, so I'll guess it is true."
Ozpin:"What if I told you that there are four ladies in the world who can wield such tremendous power without using dust?"
Y/n:" Like magic?"she asked.
Ozpin:"Like magic."he replied with a calm tone.
Qrow:"She's really is smarter than I thought. Hope she's insist a mug lover like you Oz."
Y/n:"Now, I got a question for you Uncle Oz, why does anything that you asked me has to do with the current situation we're now."
Ozpin:"Excuse me?" he asked.
Y/n:"I know there's a spy among Beacon, she's probably the same spy that attack Ruby and she most likely between the crowed of the tournament, strange things have been happening since new students have arrived. You should probably ask some of them some answers, just to make sure."
Qrow:"Thank you!! Someone who's with me!! Big brain!!"
Ozpin then sighed, before he pointed at Qrow to be quiet because Jaune could be nearby.
Ozpin:"We're telling you, Y/n Zatara, because we believe you're next in line to receive the Fall Maiden's powers."
Y/n eyes then widen as her she jaw dropped.
Y/n:"W-Wait, me? Wait a minute, what is this? What does any of this means? This was a test?"
Qrow then sighed.
Ozpin:"You know who we are, we are still the same teachers and principals you met when you arrived at Beacon."
Qrow:"Except for the fact that we have a second job. We're the protectors of this world."
Ozpin:"And we need your help."
Then a loud explosion happened as they all turn to see Jaune screaming in happiness as he defeated a giant mosquitos monster who has the size of 5 meters.
Y/n then look back to see that both Ozpin and Qrow were now gone as she then look down to see a paper which said that 'Meet us tomorrow after 10 a.m.'.

The next day, Ozpin, Qrow, Glynda and Y/n were now walking to a secret area of Beacon....The Vault, under the schools grounds.
Once they got there, they start making their way in the Vault as Y/n was feeling stressed.
Glynda then put an hand on her shoulder.
Glynda:"I'm sure you have questions."
Y/n:"I have a lot, probably 1500 questions."
The two then start walking as they followed Ozpin and Qrow.
Y/n:"I still don't understand you said I was next in line, to receive's the Maiden's powers. What do you mean by that?"
Glynda:"Checkers have been around for thousands of years, but just like in nature seasons change... No two summers are the same. When a Maiden dies, her power leaves her body and seeks a new host. Ensuring that stocks never go away, and that no one individual can control the power forever."
Y/n:"So...how does power choose?"
Qrow:"Through a series of stupid and confusing rules..."
Glynda:"Qrow!!" she said angrily at him.
Qrow then scoffed.
Qrow:"Don't be angry that I'm right."
Glynda:"Initially the only thing that was certain was that powers were passed to young women. But over time, it turned out that the selection process was much more...intimate."
Y/n:"Intimate?"
Glynda:"As far as we know today, when a Maiden dies, the one in her final thoughts is the first candidate to inherit her powers."
Qrow:"Unless it's a guy, or an old woman, then it goes to someone random. And our jobs get a lot harder."
Y/n:"Is the situation that bad, that I have to step out?" she asked them
Qrow:"Honestly? We ran out of time...I don't know if you've noticed, but things are getting scary in the world. Tensions are rising, the Grimms are stronger and more prevalent, and it won't be long before the peace we've been enjoying flies out the window." he responded to her question.
Y/n:"A war as already started, didn't it?"
Qrow:"We will give you more details after we know you are with us. By now what you need to know is that one of the ladies was attacked... And for the first time in history, part of her power was stolen."
After a long walk the four manage to reach the door of the Vault as Ozpin opened it and once they stepped in, they saw the severly injured Fall Maiden in a pod.
Y/n eyes widen.
Y/n:"AMBER!!"she then ran up to the pod and touched it.
Ozpin then sighed in sadness.
Ozpin:"She's the current Fall Maiden."
Y/n:"S-She's still alive right?"
Ozpin:"For now. We are using state-of-the-art Atlas technology to keep it stable. There's a lot in this situation that is.....unprecedented."
Y/n:"What do you mean? And how Amber got defeated." she said.
Y/n and Amber used to be on the Magic School together and they were often seen interacting, and battling each other as friends. Amber was one of the strongest students and really capable in term of combat, that's why she got chosen to be the Fall Maiden, but the answer is how did someone so strong have fallen to this point, who is this strong to stripped away half of the Fall Maiden's power.
Glynda:"This is a delicate situation, it's not uncommon for your thoughts to be those of your attacker. And to make matters worse, we never saw the power be divided as well. As far as we know, she had sought out her other half."
Y/n:"Her attacker..."
Ozpin:"And that wouldn't end well for either of us."
Y/n then laid her head next to the Amber's pod.
Glynda:"As far as we know it was common knowledge."
Y/n then turn to her.
Y/n:"Excuse me?" she asked her.
Qrow:"How do you think legends and fairy tales start? Even the craziest ones come from somewhere..."
Glynda:"Our group was formed to protect humanity and the Maidens. Those power-hungry hunted them seeking to inherit their strength."
Qrow:"And, as you can imagine, those who succeed weren't people you'd want to see with unimaginable power."
Glynda:"So this brotherhood appears to disappear with the ladies, allowing their existence to become legend. The things we are telling you go against hundreds of years of human history, religion... No one would want to believe us, it would cause revolt."
Ozpin:"It would cause panic, and we all know what that would attract the walls of our realms. Which is why we would like to..."however Y/n cut him off.
Y/n:"I'll do it. If you believe that this will help humanity... Then I will become your Fall Maiden. That's what you wanted, right?"
Ozpin:"is....But I'm afraid it's not simple. Given Amber's condition you couldn't inherit her powers naturally. However...General Ironwood believes he has a solution..."
Ironwood then stepped out of the shadows.
Ironwood:"For the last few years Atlas has been studying the magic from a more scientific point of view. How it works, what it's made of, how it can be used...We've made...significant advances. And we believe we have found a way to capture it."
Y/n:"Capture it? Capture Magic? How?"
Ironwood:"That's classified."
Y/n:"No, how did you do it?!?" she asked angrily, because she could've feel that they weren't lying.
Glynda then sighed, before she glared at Ironwood.
Glynda:"The feeling is mutual. But desperate situations call for desperate measures."
Ironwood:"And it is indeed a hopeless situation. We can't transfer Amber's powers, but we can have give what they're attached to."
Y/n:" B-But her magic...."
Ozpin:"Her mind, body and soul will be living in you, the question is."
Qrow:"What's gonna do to you or her?"
Y/n then looked down on the ground and back to Amber.
Ozpin:"You have an important decision to make Ms. Zatara. We have no guarantee that the transfer will work. And we can't tell if you'll be the same person if it works. I recommend that you take time to think. But understand that, before the end of the Vytal Festival, we will need your answer."
Y/n then look back at Amber.
Ozpin:"Fall Maiden's attacker has made her first move, and there's no telling when the next one will be."

Back at the tournament Cinder was now wathing the fights with an evil grin in her face.

Port:"Now, for the moment everyone was waiting...The finals one on one!"

The crowed was now cheering as the fighters were Yang, Sun, Penny, Mercury and Jaune.

Port:"Barty, why don't you explain the rules?" he asked Oobleck.
Oobleck:"it's very simple Peter, instead of brackets, each match will be drawn immediately before it starts."
Port:"Like any good hunt, there will be no time to prepare."
Oobleck:"Oh yes yes, now let's see what our first fight will be!"

The first match was Mercury Black against Yang Xiao Long.
Everyone was cheering as they were ready to see them fight.
Ruby:"Break a leg, sis!!!"
Cinder then got up her chair and walked away.

Yang had now taken her fighting stance as Mercury just stood there and smirked.
Yang:"You better don't go easy on me." she said with smirk-
Mercury:"Heh, you wish." he responded cockly.

Port:" three, two, one, fight!!!!"

Yang and Mercury then charge at each other and clashed.
Mercury then went to kick Yang who jumped out the way and start trowing punches at Mercury who avoided them all, before kick Yang in the stomach sending her flying back.
Yang then start shooting from her guantlets as Mercury was avoiding each of them.
Mercury then jump right at Yang and landed a kick, which however was parried by the brawler.
Mercury then did a back flip and landed a kick on Yang's chin, knocking her down on the ground.
Yang then did a front flip and got back up as she start punching Mercury, who parried most of her blow, before head butting Yang in the face and then swipe her leg making her fall on the ground.
Mercury then did a back flip avoiding an explosion from Yang as he landed on his feet, before Yang trew herself at Mercury and start blasting the guy with fast and strong punches, which Mercury manage to avoid.
Mercury then kneel Yang in the stomach and landed a crescent kick on her face.
Yang just shrug off the hit, before spitting blood from her mouth.
Mercury then start using break dancing moves against Yang who just backed away, before then punching the ground causing Mercury to spin in mid air before Yang jump right at him and punch him across the guts, sending him crashing and rolling in the ring.
Yang then start shooting from her guantlets as Mercury start doing a couple of back flips, still holding his stomach in pain due to Yang's punch as he then did a front flip avoiding getting push out of the ring.
Mercury then glare at Yang as he then got ruthless and start landing some solid and focused kicks on her and then landed a the last kick with enough force to send her flying almost out of the ring, if it wasn't for her guantlets.
Mercury then start break dancing as he created a tornado and start shooting bullets from his legs.
Yang then start avoiding the hits as she then jump right into the tornado and landed a punch directly to Mercury, as Mercury move out the way, causing everything to tremblea and causing a lot of smoke in the arena.
When the smoke was clear, Mercury was seen struggling with Yang who was now fully angry as her eyes were red and her hair on fire.
Yang had now the upper hand as she was beating Mercury, who barely did any damage as he was the one getting beat up the most.
Yang then landed an upper cut to the chin sending Mercury flying and crashing into the ground as his aura was now broken.
Everyone then start cheering for Yang as the blonde calmed down and then smile at the crowed.

Weiss:"That was great Yang!!" she said as she spilled another drink on someone's head.

Mercury:"There's not gonna be another next time, blondie." he said angrily, before charging at Yang with direct kick on the face as Yang manage to grab onto Mercury's leg and twist it.
Mercury then start screaming in pain and agony as the crowed gasped.

Everyone then start bowing for Yang and covering their mouth in horror as they saw what Yang just did, but those negative emotions that the crowed were having were getting the attention of the Grimms far away from the tournament.

Mercury:"AARGH!! MY LEG!!! MY LEG!!!"
Yang:"That's what you get you little-"then the Atlas androids jump right infront of Yang and pointed their weapons at Yang and tell her to stand down.
Yang:"Wait, a minute!! I didn't do anything!! He's the one who did attacked not me!!"
Emerald then run up to Mercury to check her leg.
Mercury:"Why did she do that?!? Why did she attacked me?!?"
Both Emerald and Mercury glare at Yang as Yang look at the screen of the tournament, as the video was showing Yang who attacked Mercury as the crowed was booing.
Ruby put her hands on her face, Weiss covered her mouth in shock, Blake was in shock, Jaune then look towards the footage and back at Yang, but felt the something wasn't right.
