Sid then told us how he had taken the name of 'business loss' owing to the fact that we were new in the project and it could lead to lot of disturbance for all of us as the project was supposed to go live in next few days and relocation at the same time would be challenging for all of us.
In short, he convinced the clients that the 'productivity' would get hampered.
"God, I never knew you were so cunning" I said and he laughed.
"There's nothing like being cunning here. You should just know how to use situation in your favor. That's how business is handled" he said, shrugging.
"And you doubt yourself when it comes to handling a full fledged business" Akash said, rolling his eyes.
"Akash, there's difference in the two. Handling business or client for some other company is much easier as compared to handling business for our own company" Sid said.
"I know, but tactics is same" he said.
"Yeah, it is but I think when it comes to our own company, we'll have to be a lot more careful" Sid said.
"Yeah, I agree. We can't take any risk with our company" Akash said.
"So Kriti, I was saying, since I helped in convincing the client not to ask us for relocation, you owe me something" Sid said.
"Why do I owe you anything?" she asked, narrowing her eyes at him.
"Because, that's what even you wanted" he said.
"Don't think I am a fool. That's what even you wanted Sid" she retorted.
"I know, let's say we all wanted it but don't you think since it got fulfilled, you should thank me?" he said, grinning.
She gave him a look of disbelief but nonetheless said, "fine, tell me, what do you want?"

He turned to her and said "at least as a friend, please."
Then he looked at me, probably silently asking me to help him.
"Kriti, please, give the poor boy a chance. See, you already agreed that he could try gaining your forgiveness, so until and unless you let him try and spend time with you, how will he gain your forgiveness?" I said.
When I looked at Akash, he gave me a small smile from the rear view mirror and I smiled at him.
"I know but why now?" Kriti said, whining.
"Because now I understood how important it is for me to spend time with you or you wouldn't let me make up for the loss" he said,
"Okay fine, I'll be ready by eight" she said and he jumped on her, hugging the life out of her.

Finally Sid and Kriti went to their 'date' and I'll have my girl all to myself.
