The next day arrived, igniting the world with life. It was only late afternoon so the sun was still high in the sky.
Sam was seen pushing his body to the max. Push-up after push-up he fought the sweat and the burning sensation in his muscles. To fight he needed to train and he knew this. Nothing had been more important than training except Bucky of course.
Bucky was stood outside eagerly watching Sam as he pushed his body to the max. His eyes trailed every inch and every curve of his body, he just couldn't take his eyes of him.
"You should stop for a while" Bucky spoke still admiring the man from afar. "I can't Buck, not yet" Sam grunted as he finished off another push-up. "You've been trailing all day Sam" Bucky rolled his eyes but admired his determination. "Just another round Buck" Sam replied wiping a pocked of sweat from his forehead.
Bucky shook his head and disappeared inside the house but only a few minutes later he reappeared holding a glass of ice cold water.
"Take a break" Bucky announced waving the water in-front of Sam's face. He exhaled but agreed. "Thanks Buck" He smiled sweetly taking the glass and took a big swig of the liquid.
"So we never really talked" Bucky started unsure of how to word the sentence he was trying to form. "About" Sam questioned taking a seat on a wooden bench he had outside. "This" Bucky waved his arms around gesturing to the both of them. "I think it's pretty clear what this is Buck" Sam laughed shaking his head. "I know" Bucky replied involuntarily taking his lips between his teeth. "So we are..." Bucky started to mumbled. "A couple" He murmured the last bit not loud enough for Sam to hear.
"Say again" Sam turned his head giving Bucky a grin. "A couple-" He finally spoke up loud. "Are we a couple" He asked confidently. "Yes Buck" Sam chuckled deeply resting his hand onto his upper thigh without thinking.
Bucky let out a breath he didn't know he was holding. His worries washed away in an instant. He knows now, he knows that what this is, is permanent. A grin spread across his lips as his placed his hand on top of Sam's and squeezed it gently.
"I don't know about you but I fancy a beer" Sam spoke slapping his knees as he got up and headed towards the door. "Grab me one" Bucky shouted as Sam disappeared into the house.
Not even seconds later Sam came back with two beer bottles in his hands. "Here" He handed the drink to Bucky who took it instantly, taking a small swig of the liquid. "I think Torres is finding out some more information about the flag smashers" Sam announced as he nudged closer to Bucky's side. "They won't quit" Bucky replied. "I know" Sam sighed realising that he was right. Karli wouldn't quit until she got what she wanted.
Bucky leant his head back with a grunt before putting his head tenderly onto Sam's shoulder. "You tired Buck" Sam asked as he put his arm around the back of Bucky. "Yeah, it's getting a bit late Sam" He replied taking another sip of his drink. "We will go inside, in a few minutes" Sam responded taking a look up towards the sky and noticed the lining of clouds covering the sea of blue.
"Did you feel that" Bucky asked sitting up slightly. "Yeah, why does it have to rain on a nice day like this" Sam frowned as he felt the droplets of water drip onto his skin.
Each drop sat on Sam's skin like a puddle that will never leave, perfectly formed, perfectly cold. Soon the rain became heavier though still dropping steady and soft falling from a sky of white velvet.
"You want to go inside?" Bucky questioned. "In a few minutes" Sam breathed turning his head towards Bucky. Sam studied Bucky's face, watching one singular droplet of rain make its way down his forehead and along his cheek. Sam brought the pad of his thumb up to his face wiping away the droplet.
His hands found their way onto the back of Bucky's neck wrapping his fingers around his brown locks. In an act of pure affection. In that moment nothing mattered but them. Sam brought his face close resting their foreheads together as the rain surrounded them both.
Bucky moved his lips to Sam's neck, lighting a fire within him that no one else could ignite. Neither of them cared that the rain would soon seep through their clothes.
There is something so heavenly about a kiss in the rain, a tender moment that just won't wait. It is that burst of love that is expressed, not caring if the water soaks through to chill the skin. It is a connection that shows the strength of the feeling, the mutual need. It is a rebellion against the elements. Nature can bring the rain but their inner sunshine comes through just the same. It brings more warmth and shelter than jackets and umbrellas ever could.
Sam and Bucky was bound in a kiss that is so caring the world should stop on it's axis and take note of their Love.
Their lips separated, breathing rugged as their clothes were near enough see though. The look they sent each other was something no other people would understand. This was something they understood. Sam placed one last kiss on Bucky's cheek before grabbing his hand to take him inside and evade the rain.
"That was good" Bucky laughed as Sam dragged him inside so he wouldn't get to cold from the rain.
"It was good" Sam agreed trying to shake away the droplets that had beaded in his hair. "Here" Bucky spoke running his hand over Sam's hair trying to get rid of the water which was residing in his hair.
"Thanks Buck, we should get changed though" Sam spoke up posting towards their clothes which were sopping wet.
Bucky followed Sam through towards his room. He rummaged through the draws grabbing a selection of clothes that they could use. "Do you mind wearing some of my clothes Buck?" Sam asked holding up a pair of shorts and a t shirt. "I don't mind, thank you" Bucky smiled accepting the offer.
Sam started to get changed, tearing away his top and shorts but noticed that his Boxers was soaking wet. He turned around quickly noticing that they became rather see through. "Sam, I don't care" Bucky chuckled deeply to himself. "Sorry I didn't want you to be uncomfortable" Sam responded with a slight smile. "I would never be uncomfortable" Bucky replied. "Good" Sam nodded.
"Do you mind if I just change my boxers?" Sam questioned wanting to make sure that Bucky was 100% comfortable with him doing that in the room. "You can, I don't mind. I'll have to borrow some though mine are wet" Bucky laughed scratching the back of his neck. "Here" Sam flung a pair his way but heard a disappointed grunt from Bucky.
Sam turned around only to see him with a pair of boxer shorts on his head. Sam couldn't help himself but laugh at the fact of where it landed. "Sorry Buck" Sam chuckled loudly. "Is this amusing to you" Bucky replied playfully. "Very" Sam spoke still trying to stifle his laughter. Bucky rolled his eyes with a smirk dragging them off his head.
Sam shook his head still having a smile tugging at the corners of his lips. "I'm going to change my boxers now so you can look away if you want" Sam spoke before removing his wet ones down his legs. "Peachy" Bucky mumbled with a hint of humour. "Are you looking at my-" Sam started. "Yup" Bucky replied before Sam could finish the sentence.
Something in Sam was telling him to turn around but as much as he wanted to he didn't. Maybe one day he will but for now he wanted to play it safe.
"You done" Sam asked Bucky as he started to turn around to face him but his eyes widened as he realised that Bucky was definitely not done. "Uh sorry" Sam nervously chucked feeling his throat turn dry "It's alright" Bucky laughed shaking his head before pulling the new boxers up along with the shorts.
"I thought you was finished" Sam spoke. "Don't worry about it sam, I don't mind" Bucky replied getting up and gently rubbing Sam's shoulder before getting into the bed. Sam nodded and joined Bucky in the bed.
Sam noticed he got quite flustered at the sight that he just saw, I mean who wouldn't. That was impressive.
"What's happening tomorrow Sam" Bucky asked making himself comfortable in the bed. "We should be getting a flight over to New York, I'll check with what Torres has found in the morning" Sam explained turning his head to face Bucky. "This will be one hell of a fight, especially with John" Bucky replied. Sam nearly rolled his eyes at the mention of John. "We will be fine Buck like always, we make a great team" Sam responded with a smile. "That we do" Bucky agreed the corners of his lips turning upwards.
"So do we let people know?" Bucky asked gesturing towards their relationship.
"We will let the world know" Sam spoke truthfully.
