Before going to the common room, I went to the kitchens and, after begging some elves, I made some cups of tea.
I exited the kitchens and I headed towards the common room. I said the password and the painting opened letting me in.
Before entering completely, I heard some voices I recognized. There were Hermione, Ginny, Harry and Ron. I remembered the previous evening and I got really nervous, but I let the thought go and I entered the room. They were sitting around the table and they were talking. They didn't seem me at first, so I cleared my voice and they turned to see who was.
"Uhm, cup of tea?" I tried to be as confident as possible, but my voice betrayed me. All of them noticed that, so I smiled.
Hermione smiled me back "Sure" and she stood up to help me with the tea.
I didn't sit immediately, I looked at them, and I started talking. I didn't really prepare a speech I just knew what to say.
"Look, guys, I am really glad I have met every one of you. You are incredible and you made me feel like I was one of you from the very first time I saw you. This month was incredible, and I really couldn't think I could be happier in a school, and I really love you, and I'm happy to be your friend. But, please, you have to accept that I can have other friends besides you, ok? Draco, it's true, he wasn't so welcoming at first and I really couldn't stand him, but I knew him, and he is kind to me. Maybe you are right Hermione, maybe he is using me, but I want to discover it by myself, maybe I'll get hurt, but at the moment I don't care. Maybe I'm wrong, but I feel that I have to know him better before judging him. I hope you all can understand me, and we can be friend as before, because I really care about all of you." I said all of it without even breathing, and I was nervous about their reaction.
I was afraid that one of them started yelling without understanding my speech. But none of this happened. Hermione started smiling at me, so as Harry, Ron and Ginny.
"I'm sorry I exaggerated. I had to understand the situation and listen to you. I'm sorry about what I said. Really" Hermione was saying it and smiling at me. I sighed as a relief.
Ginny came to me and hugged me. Her perfume was very good, and I really felt like home for the first time. While we were hugging, the others came to us and they hugged us.
We were in the centre of the room hugging each other and smiling like jerks. I was so happy I could fix everything with them. It was really important to me.
Then we sat around the table and drunk the tea I brought. We laughed and we talked about everything, school, professors and Halloween. Hermione tried to start talking about homework, but we stooped her in time, laughing so hard that my cheeks hurt.
"Saturday there will be a Quidditch game. Gryffindor versus Ravenclaw. You'll come, won't you?" Ron asked. Ron and Harry were part of the Gryffindor team. Ginny said to me that it was the first year for Ron in fact I noticed he was very excited and a bit nervous about every game.
"Of course, we will be there. We have to cheer Ravenclaw team, obviously." I said and we laughed, including Ron.
It was late, so Hermione, Ginny and I went to bed
"Night boys, see you tomorrow"
"Night girls"
When we were in our dormitory, I started preparing myself, I looked up and I saw the other two girls laughing
"What is that?"
"We know you like Draco, we understood it during your speech before. But it's ok, and don't say it's not true, you know it is" Ginny was laughing, so as Hermione and I started laughing too.
"I really don't know girls, I don't know him, but I don't say he interests me. We'll see" and they laughed at me, so I threw a pillow in their face.
They didn't see it, and they didn't expect it. We started a pillow war and we laughed so hard that maybe we woke someone up. But we didn't care. We were enjoying our time together.
After that we went to bed, because Hermione remembered that we would have lessons the next day
"Ok mum, we'll go to sleep" I said, and Ginny and I laughed while Hermione rolled her eyes smiling.
I went to bed happier than ever. It was one of the best nights I had at Hogwarts, probably the best. But I knew that I didn't fix everything because it remained a person to clarify with. Dean.
