Enamored
"Alright, everybody settle down!"
Mr Dae roared as he stood at the front of the lecture room. He clasped his hands together before saying,
"I know it's the start of the week and everyone is feeling tired but we will be having a graded group project presentation consisting of three people,"
Once he announced that, everyone in the lecture room groaned including Min. She had never liked working with other people. They were either slacking or not up to her standards. However, what could she do? Worst case scenario was that she reported her teammates who slacked.
"This presentation will take up 15% of your total grade and is due in a month. But, good news, you're allowed to choose your group members,"
Min and Hana immediately made eye contact and nodded. Hana might have seemed like someone who slacked but she always got her work done and did loads of research as long as the assignments she had were graded, so Min could definitely trust Hana.
However, they were still missing one more person. Just as Min was scanning the room to search for a suitable and responsible group member, she heard a deep voice ask,
"Could I join your group?"
The entire lecture room went dead silent. Everyone was staring at them while whispering. Her heart dropped as she turned around to see Namgi looking down at her with a smile. She tried to calm herself down as she just nodded. Namgi beamed at her as he took a seat beside her.
"Alright, so Hana will do the first topic, I'll do the second and Min will do the last,"
Namgi announced, turning his head to look at Min. Min felt her stomach flip as she just nodded silently.
"Let's finish the two questions of each of our topic by this week. Then, we can finish earlier,"
Namgi continued as he just kept staring at Min. She felt her face grow red and hot as she muttered,
"H-How about we meet up today? At the library- for research,"
She could hardly form proper sentences without stuttering. Namgi just smiled and they all agreed to meet up at the library at 4 after all their classes. Min felt her heart burst and could hardly breathe or contain her excitement as she waited for her classes were over.
Namgi was someone she had looked up to for a really long time because of his efficiency, good grades and goal-oriented personality. He was someone she had always wished to be like and to work with. Maybe, just maybe, she had a little crush on him.
