"How are we already going camping?" Skyler rolled her eyes as she stuffed her bag with clothes.

"Are you kidding? I wanted today to come sooner," Sarah said.

"I don't think we minded waiting for a while," I shrugged my shoulder.

We were leaving for the camping trip today. And I couldn't be less excited than ever.

I was dreading this day, and now that we are here after weeks of not worrying about it, I hated it even more.

Camping was not for me—all the bug bites and sleeping on the uncomfortable ground, and being cold throughout the night. Nope, I just couldn't do it.

My parents took me camping once, and after that, I had never wanted to go back.

But here we are, just my luck. It was our final trip. I was camping.

The senior class this year was shorter than most years. There were only 21 of us graduating, so camping was the best option for us.

"Come on; it will be fun, guys!" Sarah clapped her hand.

Sarah and I came over to Skyler's home so we can all head out together.

"Maybe for you, Sarah," She said. "But I'll be lucky if I just survive one night, not to mention 4," she sighed.

"I can't believe you guys are leaving without me," Nathan came up, standing at the door.

"You know I would trade to be in your place right now," I told him.

"Me too!" Skyler exclaimed. "But then again, I suck at football or any other sports, in fact,"

"That's a lie your pretty good at kicking ass," Sarah chuckled.

"Well, if that's a sport, then call me an athlete and give me a gold medal," she threw her hands in the air.

We all began laughing.

"But Nathan, we are going to miss you there," I told him. "It sucks that this trip couldn't be pushed back so we could all go together,"

"I know, but I guess it will be worth missing it if we do win the match," he shrugged his shoulder.

"We all know you will,"

"I wish we could come to your game," Sarah said a little shyly.

Nathan looked at her a second longer, his gaze lingering with hers.

"Uh ya me too," he snapped out. "I would love for all of you guys to come, actually," he said, looking between us.

I smiled at him. And helped Sky get the last of her stuff.

Nathan had dropped us off at the school so Skyler and Sarah wouldn't have to bring their cars.

The school bus was already here, and people were getting in.

Sarah's face gleamed as she kept talking about how excited she was. Skyler and I walked behind her, partially annoyed but glad that one of us is at least happy.

We got inside the bus and took our seats in the back of the bus. Sarah and I sat together while Sky sat in front of us.

My eyes kept focusing on the front of the bus to see if Liam would be coming in this bus or if he would find his own way here.

I actually wasn't even sure if he would even come to the trip.

I hadn't talked to him or seen him since he took me to the book shop.

He had opened up to me yesterday, and if anything, I hoped he would come.

I wanted to see him.

"Do you think Liam and his friends would come?" Sarah asked.

"I hope not. The trip would only get worse if they did," Skyler rolled her eyes.

But it seemed as though her wish would not be granted.

Liam, Luke Isaac, and even Reese was with them as they all entered the bus.

The teacher had said something to them, but I was too far back to hear what.

Isaac had seemed to have said something causing the teacher to glare at them.

Reece and Isaac both began laughing while Liam and Luke smirked.

"Great! Universe, why can't you listen to me once," Skyler pleaded with her hand wide and her eyes towards the sky.

Sarah and I looked at eachother smiling.

"Hey, guys!" Reece said, coming up to us with the rest of them.

"Hey!" Skyler greeted him.

But my eyes caught Liam's, and he grinned, and I couldn't help but crack a small smile.

"Mind if I sit here?" Reece asked Skyler.

She shook her head. "No, not at all," she moved her bag, and he took a seat.

"Mr. Stone Brown And Carter, take your seats now," the teacher yelled from across the bus.

"Fuckin annoying," Isaac mumbled, taking the last seat in the back while Luke took the one opposite to him.

Liam sat behind Sarah and me.

"You know, sometimes I forget they're our age, and they still had to do stuff like this," Sarah whispered down to me. I agreed with her.

They always seemed to act like they weren't the high school students they are.

And having them come on these fields trip is quite strange but amusing at the same time.

-
I must have fallen asleep for the whole ride.

The next time I had woken up was when Skyler shook me awake. I woke up to see that everyone had left the bus but us.

"We're here!" Sarah squealed beside me.

I sat up. "Oh my gosh, I slept through the whole ride?" I asked.

They nodded their head.

"I wish I could sleep through this whole trip," I sighed, getting out of the bus with all my things for camping.

"Urg, this going to be hell," Sky complained.

"Come on, guys, you guys might end up liking it this time," Sarah said shrugging a shoulder.

"I doubt that," Sarah muttered under her breath.

We reached where the teacher was explaining what was to happen.

"Okay, so share your tents with your friends. You all have a section for each one. I don't want more than 4 of you sharing one of your tents. And please make sure your only sharing with your gender. I do not need any inappropriate behaviour on a school trip," she emphasized school. "Either than that, the rest of the days is yours. Tomorrow morning we will go over all the activities plans. I and Mrs. Lopez and Mr. Meyer will be in the cabin outside the woods for the night. If you guys have any questions or need help, don't hesitate to come to see us. Either than that, the rest of the days is yours". She finished, and everyone scattered away, finding themselves an area in the woods.

Sarah had found a place a little bit deeper in the woods away from everyone, and we settled with that.

We put up our tents together and unloaded all our sleeping bags, air mattress, torches, extra clothes, and everything my parents had told me to bring.

But I also took out 3 of the seven books Liam had gotten for me. I wanted to be able to finish some of them since I really wasn't planning on doing much else.

We surprisingly manage to put everything together in less than 2 hours which was pretty good considering this was actually my first time putting one of them together.

But the only thing was by the time we had finished; it was already dark.

"It got dark pretty fast. Uh?" I said.

"I think there's a fire pit over there. We can go if you guys want," Sarah suggested.

"I'll go anywhere where I won't get eaten alive by these stupid mosquitos," Sky slapped her arm, killing yet another one.

"Ya, let's go," I said.

We headed away towards the pit to find that only a few people were actually even there.

"Where is everyone?" Sky asked out loud.

"They found out you were here and all left," Isaac said, coming up behind us.

She glared at him as he walked past her and sat down on one of the rocks.

"That just means more space for us," she shrugged her shoulder and took a seat opposite to him.

He rolled his eyes at her.

"Like the fire?"

I jumped up when a cool voice fanned the back of my neck. I turned to see Liam behind me with his hands in the pockets of his leather jacket and a cigarette in his mouth, which wasn't lit yet.

"Hi," I said awkwardly.

He grinned. "Hey," he whispered. And moved to sit on one of the sitting chairs around the fire.

Sarah and I took our seats next to Sky.

Luke had already been sitting here when we had arrived along with Reece.

When we had all sat down, the rest of the students that were there scattered away.

I looked over at my friends with confusion and saw the same confusing in their expressions.

"Are you drinking?" Skyler gasped, turning her attention towards them.

They were indeed drinking. They each had a bottle of beer in their hands and seamlessly took sips.

"You have a problem with that shorty?" Luke asked.

I noticed her hands fist immediately, but she pulled herself together.

"Aren't you afraid of getting caught?" I asked.

"If we do, then I'll blame you," Isaac teased.

"Do that, and I won't hesitate to tell the whole school about your little secret," Sky taunted.

"Do it, I dare you," he challenged.

"Will, both of you, shut the fuck up," Luke yelled, taking a sip out of his drink.

"The teachers aren't coming here anyway for the night, so there's no harm in a little fun," Reece said.

"Then if there's no harm in a little fun, then let's play a game," Skyler smirked.
