Their minds still weren't over with what happened at the previous level when the intense change of atmosphere left them shuddered.
Ice.
Everywhere was nothing but ice.
The frozen, featureless wasteland all around with ice having a diamond glow sitting as proudly as any seaward ship. Ice crystals growing into a sparkling community of dancing light. The arctic peaks showed the deepest rocky grey peaking through the white like sugar sprinkled over cake. They were sky-stabbing at the top, black mosses dotting them, the cunning milky white mist fumbled around the mountain's neck, almost forming a ring.
Their teeth chattered from cold, Jack Frost nipping at their noses. [a/n: it's a slang used for describing the icy effects of cold on one's face.] The frigid air had a way of keeping them at the moment, snatching away body heat faster than it could be replaced.
With each step they took, the crystal-clear ice flakes crunched and crackled under their feet. The landscape eyeing them somehow felt graceful yet lifeless.
A paradise of death.
"Ah!"
"Jungkook!" Jin grumbled as if he was hit by a rock.
"Wait, A-h J-Jungk-ook!" Jin jumped back and forth like a two-year-old before Jungkook shot another snowball which came swinging in the air and spanked Jin on his butt.
"Right, you've decided to go this way? Now see!"Jin's face was stretched into a grin so wide it should have fallen right off his face, his hands collecting the snow, forming a quick sphere in his hands. After tossing the ball of snow in his palm a few times, Jin threw it, aiming at Jungkook's the back of his neck as he tried to run away.
"My shot never gets missed," Jin said cockily when he got what he wanted...the satisfaction after hitting the younger.
"Ya ya we know, you've mastered this too!" Taehyung chuckled, his tone laced with the tease.
Forgetting everything, the snow only meant one thing for them - snowball fight!
Then there was a sudden division of teams as if a war was about to broke out.
Team Kim Seokjin vs Team Jeon Jungkook!
Team Kim Seokjin which comprised of Namjoon, Taehyung, and Bee gathered beside Jin. Whilst the members of Team Jeon Jungkook including Jimin, Hoseok, and Yoongi crossed their paths with the opponent squad, exchanging glares with them as if it was a battle of ages and stood on Jungkook's side. Whereas Moon was automatically made MC as her ice balls moulding skills could not be matched.
"Hello, this is your MC moonstar! Firstly, I would like to invite the leaders of both teams, Mr. Seokjin and Mr. Jungkook!"
"Do you have to say something to your rival team?" Moon asked Jin, folding her fingers into an imaginary mic.
"Yee, I just want to say that to my foes- The smittens are coming off, so be ready!" Jin ended his short but effective speech with a flying kiss paired with a sniggle.
"Ooh! that was precise and clear. What would you like to say in return, Jungkook-ssi?" Moon questioned, turning her non-existent mic to him.
"Let us show you, what we can do!" Jungkook commented demeaningly.
"Alright, so let the match begin!" Moon declared, her voice full of enthusiasm.
In less than five minutes, they were kneeling in a pristine white blanket that covered the ground. When perhaps twenty snowballs were made by each team and stacked, round one began.

Go!" Moon straightened her palm in front.
The next moment there was a bombardment of snowballs from each side.
"Wow!, the snowball right in the face, what a beginning!" Moon amused in between as Bee projected a ball of snow at Hoseok's face.
"Hey that's cheating, I wasn't prepared!" Hoseok retaliated.
"Everything is fair in love and war, and wars just gotta be won." Bee sassily replied, a smug look plastered her face.
Seconds later, the snowball with the best density and just the right swing of Taehyung's arm landed on Jimin's chest. To which, Jimin responded with another perfect icy ball which smacked Taehyung.
"The match is going neck and neck! Both teams have transformed into snow warriors, never giving in!" Moon raised her voice, not sparing the liveliness coating her voice for a moment.
While Jin and Jungkook were busy in their own fierce fight. Namjoon threw one to Yoongi which slapped him down his neck. In return, Yoongi hurled one too which was easily dodged by Namjoon.
After approximately ten minutes, round one was announced over.
"So, the winner of round one is..." Moon contemplated.
"Team...Kim Seokjin!"
"Yay!" Jin's team whooped, celebrating their victory by mocking the opposition.
"Now, round two! Are you ready guys?!" Moon enquired.
The rest nodded with the most determined eyes ever.
"Go!"
As soon as it started, the biggest damn snowball one can ever saw leapt into the air and knocked down Jin by striking him on his forehead which was thrown by none other than Jungkook.
Yoongi took his revenge on Namjoon who attempted to sidestep by wetting his back with a tough ball of snow.
"Tension is in the air! Both teams are fighting with equal spirit. Who will win and who will lose?!" Moon exclaimed who was now properly immersed in her emceeing.
An instant later, Bee flinched as Hoseok shoved a tiny snowball towards her which smoothly slid off her shoulder.
"Okay! So the winner of round two is..."
"Team...Jeon Jungkook!"
"Yippee!" Team Jeon Jungkook roared in their first triumph, hugging each other.
Already the coldness of the snow had deep chilled their fingers to a point where they were almost a mixture of numb, raw, and bruised. But cold or not, a snowball fight was a snowball fight!
"It's time for a tie-breaker now. This round will decide who's the real winner. Brace up yourself!" Moon increased the amount of excitement even more.
"Ready, Go!"
Just after the round began, Moon's yelling voice interrupted the others.
"Yah! You can't hit the MC, Taehyung!"
Everyone giggled upon Taehyung's cute continuous icy balls throws at annoyed Moon, the words of warning unstoppably escaping her mouth.
"Stop! Don't you know if once I take it seriously then you can't beat me?!" Moon lashed, her eyes already bearing attractive ice-blue shine.
A smirk made its way on Taehyung's lips as he chose to go with what he had to do, again splashing a speck of snowflakes that exploded on her cold face.
"You! So you've made up your mind. Fine. Now handle this!" Moon alerted him one last time as her eyes glow to a brighter shade of blue.
Before she could emit an ice ball, she was already pinned down on the ground by Taehyung, both of her hands stapling on each side of her shoulders by the strong grip of his. He scrapped a handful of snow from the nearby cornerstone.
"Taehyung don't!" Moon retorted as her vision was blurred by splattering snow.
The sound of their laughing enlivened the gloomy ambience.
While the rest were just enjoying the playful scene which looked like from a k-drama or something.
But they said happiness is short-lived.
Just as they were completely occupied with the moment which they got to experience after god knows how long, a chute of snow detached itself and went trundling down one of the mountains. It slid over the knotted edge and then went crashing into the chasm below. The silence that followed was spine-chilling.
And Jungkook who was lost in a jiff so much that he didn't notice he was near the cliff, the chunk of snow flung his body, adrifting him away with itself...
