Chapter 46- The much needed talk

Harper sits down in the chair next to Kelly's bed and the tears start to pour out of her eyes
"I'm so sorry! It's all my fault! I don't know what to tell the kids! I can't do it on my own Kelly! You need to get better! I can't have the kids growing up without a dad! How am I supposed to tell Aria? We need you here! I need you here!" Harper says whilst sobbing
Just then Dr.Charles appears at the door
"Do you have time for a quick chat?" Dr.Charles asks
"Sure!" Harper says wiping her tears
They walk to his office and they both sit down
"Okay so How are you?" Dr.Charles asks
"I'm getting there" Harper says smiling
"Okay I don't know if you know this but Casey called. And before you say anything there really worried about you Harper! So tell me what's been going on?" Dr.Charles says calmly
Harper hesitates for a quick second but then she sighs
"In that collapse Kelly was drying and I watched him slowly stop breathing and I see things like this everyday it shouldn't bother me! But he said goodbye to me before he stopped breathing and I didn't know what to say back! I have 4 kids and I can't raise them on my own! I have a full time job and I couldn't do it! I'm really struggling and I don't know why!" Harper says whilst sobbing
"Okay! You have so much support Harper! Everyone at the firehouse would stop everything to help you! Maybe get Casey to look after the kids and you just have a night to yourself! What Kelly said you will never forget it but you can't leave him in here alone! He needs as much support as he can get right now!" Dr.Charles says smiling
"Yeah! I Umm guess! Thank you Dr.Charles" Harper says standing up
"My door is always open Harper!" Dr.Charles says smiling
Harper then waves and walks out. She walks into Kelly's hospital room and sits down in the chair. She holds his hand and watches his chest rise and fall
"That's it! Keep going" Harper whispers
"I love you more than you know" Harper whispers before resting her head on the chair and watching him for a while longer. She finally falls asleep and wakes up to Casey standing watching Kelly
"Oh sorry if didn't mean to wake you!" Casey whispers
Harper doesn't say anything instead she gets up and gives him a hug
"Thank you!" Harper whispers in his ear
"Your welcome" Casey whispers back

Okay I have some news!! I'm so excited to announce that New Blood, One Family will be returning for book number 4!!! Ahhh! I can't wait! Obviously once this book is finished! I have so many more ideas to share with all of you!
