Chapter 23- A much neaded Break but then we are in chicago!

It's a few weeks later and Harper and Kelly have managed to get furlough. They are going away for the weekend to a lodge cabin. They are leaving the kids with Boden and Donna. Harper is packing whilst Kelly drops of the kids. Kelly arrives back 10 mins later and Harper is finished packing
"You ready to go?" Kelly asks
"Yep! Let's hit the road!" Harper says as Kelly grabs the bags
They get in the car and are halfway there
"I shake it off!" Harper sings
"Everytime! You always sing a song when we're on a road trip!" Kelly says laughing
"Oh I'm sorry! Will I put your song on?" Harper says as she changes the song
"And the Jay z song was on!" Harper sings
"So I put my!" Harper says before passing her pretend mic over to Kelly
"Hands up!" Kelly says
"Oh come on! A bit more enthusiastic! Come on from the top!" Harper says rewinding the song
"So I put my!" Harper says passing the mic over to him
"Hands up!" Kelly sings
"Would you look at that ladies and gentlemen! The squad captain actually sang!" Harper says shocked
"Wait you recorded that?" Kelly says shocked
"You bet!" Harper says laughing
"You can't show that to anyone!" Kelly shouts
"Oh I'm definitely showing this to the firehouse!" Maya says laughing
"Don't you dare!" Kelly says trying to get Harper's phone
As they are driving they come across this dark looking road with no cell service. In the distance they can see a man pulled over on the side of the road. He flags them down and Kelly pulls over
"You okay sir?" Harper shouts getting out of the car followed by Kelly
"My tractor has broken down! I don't suppose any of you  are a mechanic?" The man says
"We're firefighters is that's any help?" Kelly says walking over to the man
"I'm Paul Dailey! Farmer from up west!" Paul says putting his hand out
"I'm Harper and this is my husband Kelly! We work for the Chicago fire department!" Harper says shaking the mans hand
"So what companies and ranks?" Paul says looking at his car
"We're both captains! I'm on truck and Kelly is on squad!" Harper says as Kelly helps Paul
"You've made a pretty good life for yourself then!" Paul says smiling
Harper looks out into the distance and sees a bus driving out of control. She watches it until she notices that it's coming near them
"Take cover!" Harper shouts as the bus crashes into them
