"Why aren't you two in bed?" Says Darry. "Well, y'all kept yelling, how the hell are we supposed to sleep?" Said Soda. Darrys' sighs and sits down with his hands of his head and his elbows on his knees. His two brothers sit next to him, trying to comfort him after the fight he had with his girlfriend, Y/n.
"You know she was actually right, Dare. You've been quite careless about us. Not financially, but emotionally and physically." Said Pony. "Who said you could eaves drop?" "Hey it's not my fault y'all were loud. How could we not listen?"
He started to think, he has been quite busy with work and is almost completely careless about his brothers, his friends and especially his lover.
"I guess she's right." He said. "Hey you know what they say? Women are always right, you can't really change that. They speak facts." Said Soda, patting his back. "Now if you don't mind, I'm gonna get back to bed in peace." Says Pony, "Get some sleep you two." Says Darry.
"You should make it up to her. She's right after all. Take her out or something. Get her a gift. Just don't do it again." Says Soda, following Pony back to their bedroom. Darry nods at him and goes back to his room, shutting the door.
• the next morning •
• y/ns' POV •
"Hey kiddo, here's your breakfast." I said to my little brother, Sam. I put his backpack on his back as he sits on the table. He starts to eat his cereal while watching TV.
"So what do you want to do afterschool? I'm free." I said, sitting in front of him. He thinks about it. "Hey can we hang out with the gang today?" He asks. After the fight, I don't think I could see Darry right now. "Sorry kid but, the gang is busy. You still have me." His face turned from a smile to a frown in seconds.
"I wanted to show them the new rock I found." He sighs. I started to feel bad, and tried to think of something that'll cheer him up. Then I thought, I get off early at work today before he finishes school, Soda and Steve works till noon. We could possibly see them at the DX.
"Hey, we can visit Steve and Pepsi-cola at the DX! I'm sure they'd love to see you, and your new rock." I said. His face lit up and smiled again. What a relief. He is hard to handle when he's grumpy.
"Yay! Im so excited! They'd love my new rock!" He said, moving up and down on his chair. "Can I see your new rock?" He pulled it out of his pocket and his rocks had layers. It was pretty cool.
"That's so pretty, Steve and Soda will love that!" I said. I look at the clock and itw as almost one for school.
"C'mon, let's go." I said. He took my hand as we go outside. I open the passenger seat for him to get in and I got in too.

"Hey! How was school?" I said, hugging Sam. "My friends loved my new rock! I can't wait to show Steve and Soda! Let's go right now!" He shouts. I chuckle and I held his hand back to the car. We drove to the DX as he tells me all about his day. We got to the DX.
"Stevie! Pepsi-cola!" Sam shouts. The two boys turned their heads and their face lit up when they say Sam.
"Hey Sammie!" Soda said as he hugs Sam. "Sammie! My man! Look at you! You got taller!" Said Steve. Sam hugs Steve. "Guys I found a new rock!" "Really? Can we see it?" Sam shows them the rock and the two boys were impressed. After they talked, Sam stood talking to Steve while Soda walks up to me.
"Hey Y/n." He said. "Hi Soda." "How've you been?" "Okay, I'm just not in the mood to see him." "Who? The president?" He says sarcastically. I nudge him as I chuckle. "I kinda feel bad for yelling." I said.
"Don't feel bad. I mean you were right anyway." "I knew y'all were listening." I said. "Couldn't help it. How's Sammie doing? He's doing good?" "Not bad, behavior is getting better, getting smarted everyday." I said. He nods looking at Sam then back at me.
"Look if you still feel bad, I think you should see him." Said Soda.
