Your Pov
After a long journey back to the village we finally saw Tazuna's house.
"It's right up ahead." Tazuna said
"Yippee!" Naruto shouted and jumped in the air. 'Honestly, he has way too much energy.' I thought. I notice Sasuke walking next to me and Sakura running up next to him.
"Ne, Ne, Sasuke-kun?" Sakura said and Sasuke hummed in reply.
"That was pretty scary back there? Do you think we will face anymore enemies?" Sakura asked.
"Hn." Sasuke replied and stuffed his hands deeper into his pockets and walked ahead. I then saw Sakura slouch forward. I then left go off kakashi's left leg and patted her head. Sakura then looked up at me and smiled.
"Don't worry Sakura, he'll come around. He just needs time to process what happened." I said
"Yeah, I guess you're right. Thanks Y/n-sensei." Sakura smiled and walked ahead. I then begin to catch up and notice Kakashi's beginning to wake up.
"Just in time. I thought you would be knocked out for the rest of the trip." I whispered to Kakashi and he just whined. As we enter the house a see a young women with dark hair, dark eyes, and pale skin.
"Please, come in." She said and motioned me to follow her upstairs to a spare bedroom. I then see her grab some blankets, a pillow, and places them on the floor. I then place Kakashi on the rolled out mat and tuck him in.
"Thank you uh?" I asked
"You can call me Tsunami." She replied
"Right, thank you for having us, Tsunami-san." I replied and she nodded and left. I then take off my bag and set it on the floor next to Kakashi's head. I then hear Kakashi move his head and began to groan.
"I think I overdid it with my sharingan." He mumbled and I reached over and rubbed his head and he sighed.
"Yeah, But, you're lucky, you're usually down for a week." I said and Kakashi sighed and looked away.
"Thanks, for carrying me." He replied and I nodded. I then see Kakashi begin to sit up but, I pushed him back down.
"You should rest." I said
"Yeah, I guess you're right." he said and looked up at the ceiling. I then hear footsteps walk up the stairs and enter the room.
"Wow, look, Sensei's coming around dattebayo." Naruto gasped and Sakura squats next to me.
"Listen, sensei, your sharingan is amazing in everything, but, if it puts that much strain on you, maybe it's not worth it." Sakura stated
'Yeah you tell him.' I thought and snickered slightly.
"Sorry." Kakashi replied
"Huh, well you did bring down one of the most powerful ninja assassins, so we'll be safe for a while." Tazuna said while fanning himself. I then look down at Kakashi who has ' his done with life.' face on. I then poke his cheek and he glares at me.
"Right, you know that boy with the mask? What about him?" Sakura asks
"Well, He's an elite tracking ninja for the hidden mist, Those masks are only worn by the most elite shinobi." Kakashi said
"What is their job?" Sakura gulped
"There, known as The Inferno Squad, who destroy all traces of rogue ninja's corpse. The body contains many secrets, ninjutsu, chakra, and special medicines used on his body are property of his village. If his enemy finds him, then their village is in danger..." I said and paused.
"For example, If I were to die at the hands of enemy he would try to analyze my sharingan. In worst case my entire jutsu could be stolen and used against our village. So, this is the job of this particular anbu squad, destroy the body and protect the village. " Kakashi said finishing my thought.
I then notice Kakashi look up at me and I nod, I help him up into a sitting position.
'If this is true, then, why didn't the anbu take care of Zabuza on the spot? And the use of senbon needles, those are medical tools...So that means-'
"Hey Sensei's are you ok?" Naruto asked
"Yeah." Kakashi and I both replied. I then began to speak.
"Did you all notice that the tracker took the body away?" I asked
"Why would that be important?" Sakura asked and I noticed Kakashi starting to understand where I was going with this conversation.
"He should have worked on the body right then and there but, he didn't. Plus, the tracker used senbon needles." Kakashi added
"No way." Sasuke said
"Right. None of this adds up." Kakashi replied and I nodded
"What are you all yammering about? You both destroyed the assassin." Tazuna asked and I cleared my throat.
"Listen, I'm going to be blunt, Zabuza Momochi is still alive." I said and Tazuna,Sakura, and Naruto scream.
'Ow my ears.' I thought
"B-but! We saw the body! Dattebayo!" Naruto shouted
"You both checked the body and said he didn't have any vitals." Sakura shouted
"You're right, we did say that and it was true, his heart did stop." Kakashi replied
"And it seems that was a temporary state, to stimulate death. Because of this we can assume that the tracker wasn't a tracker at all. More like an accomplice who helped Zabuza get away. " I replied
"Aren't you over thinking things?" Tazuna said confidently
"No, I ninja who doesn't act quickly, jeopardizes the mission." Kakashi replied
'This is giving me some major flashbacks to when we were younger.' I sighed. I then notice Naruto gritting his teeth and begins laughing.
"Naruto, you ok? You're starting to freak me out." I said while nervously laughing. I then see Kakashi smirk and laugh.
"Oh, Yeah, I'm good! Dattebayo!" Naruto said giving me a thumbs up.
"Right?" I replied
"Anyway, we need to get you all power up, and fast." I said
"But, How? Plus, some last minute training won't help us against Zabuza." Sakura said
"That's where you're wrong Sakura, sure, training can take up to months to see major results. But, what I'm talking about is chakra training."
"But we-"
"Whatever it is it's not going to work!" a young boy shouted
"Who are you?" Naruto said pointing at the boy
"Oh, Inari, where have you been?" Tazuna asked worriedly
"Welcome back! Grandpa!" Inari said running over to Tazuna and giving him a hug.
"Hmm, so this is your grandson, huh?" I asked and I felt Kakashi glaring at me.
"Yes, Sorry about that, Inari don't be rude. These ninja have been helping your grandpa and brought him home safely." Tsunami said
"hey, hey. It's ok. I'm rude to them too." Tazuna said while laughing. I then see the boy giving us the death glare.
'Damn, what the fuck is his problem?" I thought
"Mom, don't you see these people are going to die." Inari said
"Wh-hmph" I started and Kakashi covered my mouth and shook his head no.
"Gato and his men will come back and find them and wipe them out." Inari said
"What did you say? Brat!" Naruto shouted and I looked over at Kakashi and he gave me a closed eye smile.
"Listen Up! You know what a super ninja is? Well that's me only better! I'm going to be Hokage and this Gato or Blato or whatever he's called is no match for a real hero like me!" Naruto said and smirked
"Ha, there's no such things as hero's. You're just full of stupid ideas!" Inari said
"W-what did you say you-"
"Naruto calm down!" Sakura said while trying to restrain Naruto
"If you want to stay alive, you should go back where you came from." Inari said and walked away. I then looked over at Sasuke who was now glaring at the young boy and sighed.
'Honestly, who gives him the right to talk like that?' I thought
"Inari! Where are you going?" Tazuna shouted
"To look at the ocean. I wanna be alone." He replied
'Well, ain't that depressing.' I thought
"Sorry about that." Tazuna apologized and then I see Naruto walk away. I look back over at Kakashi and he shrugs.
'Ugh, This is going to be a long day!' I whined.
