Are you all enjoying the book and the plot till now?
Well there's a lot to come as finally Akash has come to know that Mohit is cheating on Siya when actually, he isn't.
How do you think Akash would react once he gets to know that they aren't in a relationship to begin with?
Well, he'll come to know but before that do you all think I should decrease the update to 1 per week?
You see, I am not getting enough votes, even though the views are there.
How much time does it take to hit the small star button? Not even a second I think.
Anyways, let's begin with the chapter now.
Akash's POV
I was tossing and turning on bed and sleep was far away from me.
The only thought that occupied my mind was...how could Mohit betray Siya when he created a mess over this all those years ago?
I still remember the ruckus we created because of his confession after he drunk dial her.
He was the one begging her to leave me and go to him and give him a chance and when finally she's with him, he is cheating on her?
Also, as far as I know, Mohit would always remain loyal to someone whom he loves. It is actually very difficult to digest the fact as he's never been the one to play with anybody's feelings.
But how could I ignore the way he talked on phone? It clearly showed how much he loves the other person on call.
I wouldn't have believed it if someone else would've told me about it but hearing him myself talking on the phone like he was still missing her...it felt he was so sincere to the person he was talking to.
The big question is for how long he has been doing it and does Siya know about it?
Should I really take Sophia's advice and talk to Siya about it or does she already know about it?
I don't think she knows about it, otherwise she would've broken up with Mohit.
What do I do god?
Suddenly I heard door opening and Sid entered, grinning like a fool.
Idiot.
"Why are you so happy?" I asked him.
"Why shouldn't I be happy? My girl is coming to stay here, in the flat adjacent to us and she'll be my neighbor. This day just couldn't have been better" he said dreamily.
"Don't flatter yourself. What if she's coming here to take revenge on you" I said.
"Whatever it is, be it her revenge, her beatings, her scolding, I am ready for anything and everything as long as she talks to me" he said.
"Dude you are whipped" I said.
"Yes, I am" he said grinning again.
"Okay tell me now what's bothering you?" he asked after few minutes.
"Nothing" I said, not looking in his eyes.
"I've known you long enough to sense that something's bothering you, a lot might I add. Please tell me Akash, what is it?" he said.
"I...I don't know. I don't even know if I should discuss this with you because it isn't related to me" I said.
"Akash, you can trust me. Whatever it is, you can tell me. I promise, it'll stay between us" he said.
"Okay. I...I think Mohit is cheating on Siya" I said.
"What?" he shouted, not quite believing what I just said.
"I know it isn't my place and also I shouldn't interfere in their personal life but when it comes to her, everything bothers me" I said.
"I know man how you feel, I can understand. I would've behaved the same as you if I'd be in your place" he said.
"Well it's quite difficult to believe that Mohit's cheating on her but what made you think so?" he asked.
"I heard him talking to someone on phone with a small smile on his lips and I also heard him say love you. The smile he had when he turned around was the same smile I had when I used to talk to.." I trailed off.
"Siya" Sid completed for me.
"Yes. The same dreamy and goofy look like I used to have for her" I said.
"Well, just to let you know, you've the same dreamy look when you talk to her, even now" he said.
I just glared at him which made him shut his mouth. Good for him.
"Then did you ask anything to him?" he asked.
"Yes I did but he asked me not to interfere in his business" I said sighing.
"I can totally understand what you are thinking Akash, but what if Siya is aware about it and is still with him?" he said.
"What rubbish, why would she be with him if she knows he is cheating on her?" I said.
"Akash, did you notice something? When you asked her about her relationship with Mohit at lunch, she was stuttering and above all, she was shocked when you asked her about it. What if they've already broken up and Mohit has someone else in his life and she's lying to you so that she isn't embarrassed in front of me or you because she left you for him?" he said.
I just thought about what he said and he had a point.
What if actually they aren't in relationship anymore and Siya is hiding it from me so that she isn't embarrassed about the whole scenario?
"What should I do about it Sid? You think I should talk to her about it?" I asked.
"Yes, I definitely think you should talk to her about it. She should know that she's being cheated on, that is if they both are really in a relationship, which I highly doubt" he said.
"Okay, if you say so" I said.
"How are you going to talk to her?" he asked.
"Sophia advised me to take her shopping with me for Kriti and there we could talk about it" I said.
"Okay. I got to admit something, Sophia does have brains" he said.
"Obviously and she has a lot of patience as well otherwise working with my brother isn't everybody's cup of tea" I said.
"Yes, I agree, but I still don't understand why are they both always at loggerheads?" he said.
I shrugged "because he always treats his employees that way. He is only warm to his family and nobody else."
"I wonder how does Sophia tolerates her" he said chuckling.
"Oh, don't ask. She has said me number of times that she wants to strangle him to death" I said, laughing.
"Okay, coming back to the main point of discussion, you'll ask Siya to accompany you tomorrow to the mall right?" he asked.
"Yes" I said.
"Okay then, all the best" he said and left my room.
Although I agreed to them, how am I going to approach her and ask her to accompany me?
It will be so awkward to talk to her after all these years but I guess I need to break the ice between us, after all we need to at least be in talking terms since we'll be working together.
I never thought situation would be so awkward between the two of us and I'll have to think twice before talking to her.
There was a time when I used to talk to her anytime of the day, without a care in the world and she used to listen to me like a small kid listens to her mother.
Chuckling at the thought, what days they were.
I wish I could get back to those days but there is huge distance between us now, a distance of three and a half years which is very difficult to cross.
Sighing, I made my way towards the bed and tossing and turning for what seems like hours, finally sleep engulfed me.
Next day, getting ready I went to office but I was waiting for her to be alone so that I could talk to Siya as Kriti wasn't leaving her even for a bit.
"Sid, I want you to distract Kriti for few minutes, meanwhile I'll ask Siya to come with me to the mall" I said.
"Yes sure, I'd love to" he said with a mischievous smile.
They had their usual bantering on and when Kriti wasn't paying attention to us, I finally gathered courage and went to her.
She was facing Kriti and Sid with a small smile when I called her.
"Siya."
Siya's POV
I just froze when I heard his voice.
Was he calling me?
But then why would he call me? I've already told him that me and Mohit are already in a relationship.
Then realization hit me, he has already heard Mohit talking to someone yesterday and I am sure he must be doubting that I lied to him.
How am I going to answer his question if he asks me anything related to my and Mohit's relationship?
Realizing that I am not answering anything, he kept his hand on my shoulder and my eyes got closed on it's own.
Taking a deep breath I turned around.
"Yes Akash" I said.
"I...I want to talk to you something important" he said.
As if on cue, my heartbeats quickened it's pace.
"Ye..yes tell me what do you want to talk about?" I said.
"Can we go somewhere else?" he said.
"But what about Sid and Kriti?" I asked.
"It'll just take few minutes Siya" he said.
"Okay" I agreed after few seconds.
Once we reached a quite place, we were standing facing each other and none of us spoke for sometime.
What does he want to talk about?
After few minutes, he said "you remember Kriti asked me for a gift yesterday?"
"Yes, I remember" I said.
"I want you to help me buy a gift for her" he said.
"But she said you yourself will buy a gift for her" I said.
"Yes, I said that but you already know I am very bad at buying anything related to girls" he said.
"You still haven't changed" the words came out without me thinking anything.
He looked at me in shock and then said "yes, I am still the same."
His words were simple yet I felt it had a much deeper meaning.
"Okay, why do you want me to help you?" I said.
"Obviously you're her friend, you'd know about her choice and preference" he said.
"Okay, but you can take help of your girlfriend" I said.
"My who?" he asked shocked.
Why is he shocked? Sakshi is his girlfriend right?
"Your girlfriend" I said, looking down with pain in my chest. The words were so heavy for me to say but I had to.
"Who do you think is my girlfriend" he asked me with a small smile on his lips.
Is he mad or what?
"Sakshi" I said, not meeting his gaze because I knew if I'd say it looking in his eyes, he would definitely sense that something is wrong.
He stared at me for a few seconds and then suddenly started laughing like a madman.
What happened to him now?
In between his laughs, he said "yo..you th..think Sak..Sakshi is my girl...girlfriend?"
I was confused but nevertheless nodded.
"Oh God Siya" he said and laughed again.
Now he was offending me. What funny did I say that he's laughing so much?
"What's so funny?" I asked him after few minutes with my arms over my chest.
He suddenly stopped laughing and his eyes went from my eyes to my...chest?
I immediately put my hands down and straightened my dress only for him to look at my eyes again but what caught my attention was his eyes were darkened by now.
He cleared his throat after few seconds and said "I think you are mistaken. Sakshi isn't my girlfriend."
I was just processing what he just said.
"Sakshi isn't your girlfriend?" I asked him, eyeing his suspiciously.
"No. I was only committed once and after that, there has been no one, more like there can be no one" he said, looking into my eyes.
I felt so guilty of what I did to him.
He'd never know what I went through when I had to leave him, just to keep his and his family's reputation intact.
"Then why does she act like she's your girlfriend?" I asked him.
"That's not my problem if she acts so. If she's obsessed over me, what can I do? It's not my fault if she's in some delusion" he said shrugging.
"So it means, you aren't dating anyone?" I asked him, again.
"No. It was and will always be you" he said with sincerity.
I know he wasn't lying but I couldn't believe my ears when he said that and I wanted him to say that again and again till my heart's content.
It means that he still loves me like I love him?
I don't know when tears started forming in my eyes and it slipped from my eyes.
"What happened?" he said.
"Nothing" I said and looked down.
Right now, I want nothing but to run to him and hug him tightly and confess to him that I still love him, I always had and always will.
"So will you come with me for Kriti's shopping?" he asked again.
"Of course" I said.
Anything for Kriti.
"Great then , I'll pick you up after office?" he asked.
"What will I answer her if she asks where am I going? We can't tell her that we both are going for shopping " I asked him.
"Yes, you are right" he said. "What do you suggest then?"
"Why don't we do one thing? I'll make an excuse to her that I've a headache. Then you can come to my room in the guest house and we can go for shopping from there" she said.
"Not bad. Okay, I'll come to your room" he said.
"Okay then I'll see you later" I said.
"Yeah, see you later" he said.
I then proceeded to where Kriti and Sid were bantering.
"Where were you?" Kriti asked me once I reached her.
"Nowhere" I said.
"Where were you girl?" she asked me again.
"Do you expect me to stay with you and Sid when you both don't do anything except bantering and burning holes in my ears" I said.
"You" she said but then remained silent.
We finally went to my training room where Sid and Akash trained us for the rest of the day but the whole time I had just one thought in my mind that Akash still loves me and I'll get time to spend with him.
I should really Thank Kriti. It's all because of her, I'll get to spend some time with him, alone.
God. I just can't wait for evening to come.
