Author's Note: I know, I know what you're thinking. Why's is it so late in the day? Well, I've been busy all day and didn't have much spare time to upload it. Oh, and you guys see the second elimination in this, so enjoy!
"What a night, ladies and gentlemen. With Bunny's amazing performance that we just saw, let's go from one Section B mask to another! Put your paws up for the Cat!" Nick said, getting cheers from the crowd in excitement.
Cat's promo played, which stated that she was actually quite young for her achievements. She also admitted to her being older now, but with more experience. Soon after, the Cat came out. She waved to the crowd, before the music started to play.
When tomorrow comes
I'll be on my own
Feeling frightened of
The things that I don't know
When tomorrow comes
Tomorrow comes
Tomorrow comes
And though the road is long
I look up to the sky
And in the dark I found,
I lost hope that I won't fly
And I sing along, I sing along
And I sing along
I got all I need when I got you and I
I look around me, and see a sweet life
I'm stuck in the dark but you're my flashlight
You're getting me, getting me through the night
Kick start my heart when you shine it in my eyes
Can't lie, it's a sweet life
I'm stuck in the dark but you're my flashlight
You're getting me, getting me through the night
'Cause you're my flashlight (flashlight)
You're my flashlight (flashlight)
You're my flashlight
I see the shadows long beneath the mountain top
I'm not afraid when the rain won't stop
'Cause you light the way
You light the way, you light the way
I got all I need when I got you and I
I look around me, and see a sweet life
I'm stuck in the dark but you're my flashlight
You're getting me, getting me through the night
Kick start my heart when you shine it in my eyes
I can't lie, it's a sweet life
I'm stuck in the dark but you're my flashlight
You're getting me, getting me through the night
(Light light light you're my flashlight, light, light)
Light light you're my flashlight
Light light light light light, oh
(Light light light you're my flashlight, light, light)
You're my flash, oh
I got all I need when I got you and I
I look around me, and see a sweet life
I'm stuck in the dark but you're my flashlight
You're getting me, getting me through the night
Can't stop my heart when you shinin' in my eyes
I can't lie, it's a sweet life
I'm stuck in the dark but you're my flashlight
(You're my flashlight)
You're getting me, getting me through the night
'Cause you're my flashlight
'Cause you're my flashlight
You're my flashlight
You're my flashlight
Light light
You're my flashlight
Light light ye-yeah
You're my flashlight
"Wow, that was a purr-ty great performance!" Nick exclaimed, getting mixed results (mostly positive from the crowd, but negative for the judges) from everyone. Back in the Loud House, a certain comedic sister made the exact same pun.
Unlike everyone on television, all the Loud sisters just groaned at Luna's pun. To be fair, the same aloud sisters didn't laugh at Nick's pun either. I guess they were just straight up tired of all the puns.
"All jokes aside, please give Cat the opinions she's been meowing for!" Nick said, but sounding slightly more serious. Ken groaned again, before commenting.
"Aw man, I feel like I can recognize that voice!" He said.
"Me too!" Nicole adds.
"At least we know that she's been on America's Got Talent!" Jenny continues.
"Yeah, but she said she did that when she was younger. Who knows what she's done since!" Robin counters, sounding quite frustrated.
"Maybe she's been on the British show!" Mick excitedly says.
"You don't even know who to search for!" Ken counters, literally destroying Mick's idea.
"Yeah, and it could've been from any year. I think we'll need more hints about that..." Jenny comments, hoping that would end up being revealed.
"At least we'll be able to see Cat again, so we get those hints!" Nicole says, with pure optimism. She had full justification to believe that, as Cat's great singing made it hard to nominate her for elimination.
Since all five judges have commented and/or gave opinions on Cat's performance, she was sent off stage and into the back.
"While that was the final Section B solo performance, we still have the Smackdown to enjoy! This contest will be a Face-off! You already know the match-up; it's Monkey vs. Angel!" Nick announces, leading to the two masks in question to appear on stage.
Both greeted the crowd with waves, with Monkey being bouncy as usual. The microphone that was in the ceiling before was lowered back down right above the competitors.
"Angel, you'll go first. Let the Face-off begin!" Nick shouted, before the music started for Angel to sing.
Angel: 'Cause I-I-I'm in the stars tonight
So watch me bring the fire and set the night alight
Shoes on, get up in the morn'
Cup of milk, let's rock and roll
King Kong, kick the drum, rolling on like a Rolling Stone
Sing song when I'm walking home
Jump up to the top, LeBron
Ding dong, call me on my phone
Ice tea and a game of ping pong, huh
This is getting heavy
Can you hear the bass boom? I'm ready (Chorus: woo hoo)
Life is sweet as honey
Yeah, this beat cha-ching like money, huh
Disco overload, I'm into that, I'm good to go
I'm diamond, you know I glow up
Hey, so let's go
'Cause I-I-I'm in the stars tonight
So watch me bring the fire and set the night alight (Chorus: hey)
Shining through the city with a little funk and soul
So I'ma light it up like dynamite, whoa oh oh
Bring a friend, join the crowd
Whoever wanna come along
Word up, talk the talk
Just move like we off the wall
Day or night, the sky's alight
So we dance to the break of dawn
Ladies and gentlemen, I got the medicine
So you should keep ya eyes on the ball, huh
As Angel is singing, her hint comes up. I combine my voice with others to form one.
Angel: This is getting heavy
Can you hear the bass boom? I'm ready (Chorus: woo hoo)
Life is sweet as honey
Yeah, this beat cha-ching like money
Disco overload, I'm into that, I'm good to go
I'm diamond, you know I glow up
Let's go
'Cause I-I-I'm in the stars tonight
So watch me bring the fire and set the night alight (Chorus: hey)
Shining through the city with a little funk and soul
So I'ma light it up like dynamite, whoa oh oh
The song ends, due to the fact that Face-offs have shorter performances. This performance was received by the crowd well, as Angel it wasn't just filled with great singing. There were also several lyrics that could be seen as combat words, which are useful in this type of performance. (Ex: I'ma light it up like dynamite)
"Alright, Angel! Monkey, let's see what you've got!" Nick announces quickly. The judges weren't allowed to comment yet, as they had to see Monkey's attempt to combat his opponent. Music once again played, this time for Monkey.
Monkey: Yeah, you're lookin' at the truth, the money never lie no
I'm the one, yeah, I'm the one
Early mornin' in the dawn, know you wanna ride now (let's ride)
I'm the one, yeah (let's ride), I'm the one, yeah
Yeah, you're sick of all those other imitators
Don't let the only real one intimidate you
See you watchin', don't run outta time now
I'm the one, yeah
As Monkey reaches a simpler point in his performance, his hint comes upon screen like Angel's before him: You recognize me from the fame I have in my original country.
Oh-eh-oh-oh-oh, oh-eh-oh
I'm the one
Oh-eh-oh-oh-oh, oh-eh-oh
I'm the only one
Oh-eh-oh-oh-oh, oh-eh-oh
I'm the one
Oh-eh-oh-oh-oh, oh-eh-oh
I'm the only one
Lookin' for the one? Well, bruh, you're looking at the one
I'm the best yet, and yet, my best is yet to come
'Cause I've been lookin' for somebody, not just any flippin' body
Don't make me catch a body, that's for any and everybody
Oh my God! She hit me up all day, give no response
Bruh, you blow my high, that's like turning gold to bronze
Roll my eyes
And when she on the molly she a zombie
She think we Clyde and Bonnie, but it's more like Whitney Bobby
God forgive me
Tunechi and finessin', I'm a legend
Straight up out The Crescent, fly your bae down for the Essence
For the record I knew Khaled when that boy was spinnin' records
Mula gang winning record, I'm just flexing on my exes, oh God!
Yeah, you're lookin' at the truth, the money never lie no
I'm the one, yeah, I'm the one
Early mornin' in the dawn, know you wanna ride now (let's ride)
I'm the one, yeah (let's ride), I'm the one, yeah
Yeah, you're sick of all those other imitators
Don't let the only real one intimidate you
See you watchin', don't run outta time now
I'm the one, yeah
Oh-eh-oh-oh-oh, oh-eh-oh
I'm the one
Oh-eh-oh-oh-oh, oh-eh-oh
I'm the only one
Oh-eh-oh-oh-oh, oh-eh-oh
I'm the one
Oh-eh-oh-oh-oh, oh-eh-oh
I'm the only one
Don't you know girl, don't you know girl
I am the one for you (I'm the one) yeah I'm the one
Don't you know girl, don't you know girl
I am the one for you (I'm the one) yeah I'm the one
Don't you know girl, don't you know girl
I am the one for you (I'm the one) yeah I'm the one
Don't you know girl, don't you know girl
I am the one for you (I'm the one) yeah I'm the one
With that, Monkey's performance ended. This performance also got a good response, as the singing was also great.
"Now that we've heard both performances, it's time to find out the winner. Now, if we can do this properly-" Nick started, specifically referencing Ken, who just rolls his eyes. "I'd like to hear the opinions of the judges first, before everyone votes.
"Well, I can easily say that I liked both performances. However, I already know who won." Ken says confidently.
"That's easy. This is supposed to be a battle, and only one of the performances sounded like it'd be used in a battle." Nicole says.
"No, I'm gonna go deep into the lyrics to pick the most battle-like performance." Robin explains, getting a nod of agreement from Ken. This signaled that Ken probably had done this.
"I just think they were talking about themselves, so I'll pick the one that actually lived up to their word." Jenny states, making her method clear.
"I'm sorry, but I'll simply pick my favorite performance of the two." Mick says.
"Alright, with that, it's time to vote. Everyone, cast your votes." Nick said, leading to everyone starting to vote. There was a pause in the venue, due to everyone voting. Once everyone was done voting, Nick once again was given the results.
"Well, it looks like this battle's winner has won on a very close margin!" Nick says, quite surprised but excited to see a closer vote.
"With a score of 3/5 from the judges and a very close fan vote, the winner of this Face-off is...Angel!" Nick announces, leading to the shocked reaction of Angel and Monkey feeling disappointed.
"Man, I was wrong again!" Ken said, leading to laughter from both the judges and the crowd.
"Don't worry about it this time. Besides, it was really close!" Jenny exclaimed.
"Monkey, you'll now join Chinchilla as the two nominees up for elimination at the end of the night. As for you, Angel, you'll be moving on to live another episode! Both of you, head back and we'll see you later!" Nick says, causing the crowd to applaud for both Angel and Monkey.
Both masks were sent backstage, once again leaving Nick Cannon alone. He wouldn't be alone for long, due to the continuation of the show!
"With that said and done, it's time for the final performance of the night! But first; Everyone, let's meet Section C! *the promo screen once again pops up, showing the following* Section C will contain Star, Trojan, Cavalier, and Platypus! None of these four contestants will be eliminated tonight, as they will all perform in a group performance! All four of you, come onto stage!" Nick says, prompting these four masks in question to walk onto stage.
As usual, each one greeted the crowd with a wave. Whilst Cavalier showed his swagger, Platypus and Trojan showed their confidence. Star, however, seemed to be the most focused.
Trojan: Hey, where's the drum? *drum starts*
All: Wooo oh
Cavalier: Let's go!
Platypus: Woo girl, you're shinin'
Like a 5th Avenue diamond
And they don't make you like they used to
You're never goin' out of style
Star: Woo pretty baby
This world might have gone crazy
The way you saved me, who could blame me
When I just wanna make you smile
Trojan: I wanna thrill ya like Michael
I wanna kiss you like Prince
All: Let's get it on like Marvin Gaye, like Hathaway
Write a song for you like this
Star: You're over my head, I'm out of my mind
Thinkin' I was born in the wrong time
One of a kind, livin' in a world gone plastic
Trojan: Baby, you're so classic (Platypus: Yeah yeah)
(Platypus: Gone plastic)
Baby, you're so classic (Platypus: Yeah yeah)
Baby you
Baby, you're so classic
Trojan: Four thousand roses
Anything for you to notice
All the way to serenade you
Doin' it Sinatra style
Platypus + Trojan: I'ma pick you up in a Cadillac
Like a gentleman, bringin' glamour back
Trojan: Keep it real to real in the way I feel
I could walk you down the aisle
Trojan: I wanna thrill you like Michael
I wanna kiss you like Prince
Let's get it on like Marvin Gaye, like Hathaway
All: Write a song for you like this
Star: You're over my head, I'm out of my mind
Thinkin' I was born in the wrong time
It's not a rewind, everything is so throwback-ish
I kinda like it, like it
Star + Trojan: Out of my league, old school chic
Like a moviestar from a silver screen
You're one of a kind, livin' in a world gone plastic
All: Baby, you're so classic (Platypus: Yeah yeah)
Trojan: Baby, you're so classic (Platypus: Yeah yeah)
All: Baby, you're so classic
Cavalier: Baby you're class, and baby you're sick
I never met a girl like you ever 'til we met
A star in the 40's, centerfold in the 50's
You got me trippin' out like the 60's, hippies
Queen of the discotheque
A 70's dream with an 80's vest
Hepburn, Beyoncé, Marilyn, Massive
Girl, you're timeless
Just so classic
Star: You're over my head, I'm out of my mind
Thinkin' I was born in the wrong time
It's not a rewind, everything is so throwback-ish
All: I kinda like it, like it
Star + Trojan: Out of my league, old school chic
Like a moviestar from a silver screen
You're one of a kind, livin' in a world gone plastic
All: Baby, you're so classic (Platypus: Whoa oh)
Trojan: Baby, you're so classic (Platypus: Yeah yeah)
Baby, you're so classic
Ooh, classic
As the song ends, there is a great response. The performance highlighted several things about the masks: Star isn't just a country singer, Trojan's overall skill, Cavalier's rapping, and Platypus' ability to transfer from main to backup singer. This actually was better than expected, especially due to the difference between each competitor.
"Our first group performance starts off well, huh?" Nick asks.
"Oh, yeah. It definitely has." Jenny replies.
"It was honestly better than expected," Robin admits.
"I like how something good about each mask is highlighted in this performance," Nicole adds.
"I just want to say that all of you performed really well. I can t wait to see what you all bring next." Mick says, prompting all of Section C to be sent backstage.
"While we have seen all of tonight's performances, it's time to say goodbye to someone. Chinchilla and Monkey, please come join me on stage." Nick announced, leading to the arrival of the masks in question.
"Everyone, you already know the procedure. Please vote for the mask that you'll be sending home tonight, whether Chinchilla or Monkey. Unlike the voting for Smackdowns, we won't tell you the judges' votes." Nick added to his announcement.
A small pause preceded this, allowing votes to come in. Like every other vote, this one was important. Whoever got the most votes would be eliminated, and have to reveal their identities to the world. Once that was said and done, Nick received the results. Both Monkey and Chinchilla were obviously nervous, as either could be eliminated.
"It's now time. The contestant that will NOT be making it into the next episode and will be eliminated is...Monkey!" Nick announces, allowing Chinchilla to survive another episode. Monkey puts his hands to his head, obviously in shock about the elimination. Both masks hug in a show of respect, and show the class Monkey has despite his elimination.
Chinchilla is sent backstage, leaving only Nick and Monkey to continue on.
"Before we reveal who's underneath the Monkey's mask, do any of the judges have any last possible identifications for who this singer is?" Nick asked.
"I really don't think we can say anything," Robin admits, with the rest of the judges agreeing with this.
"I mean, we only know that Monkey is well known outside of the U.S." Jenny adds.
"Nick, I think you know what to do." Ken says, giving a knowing look. Nick takes the signal, knowing exactly what to do.
"Take it off, take it off!" Nick and Ken shout out, before being joined by everyone else. *cue 'Who Are You' by The Who*
"Take it off!"
"Take it off!"
"Take it off!"
This kept going as Monkey's mask started to come off. Once the song got to it's end point, the Monkey unmasked.
"Ladies and gentlemen, Sam Shoaf from the Philippines!" Nick yelled, as the crowd cheered at the reveal.
"So, Sam, how did it feel to be here on The Masked Singer Jr?" Nick asked.
"Oh, it was really fun. I think I could've done better with that first performance, since it wasn't the best." Sam replied.
"Do you guys have anything to say?" Nick asked, looking toward the judges.
"You know, I'm actually quite surprised you're famous. You know, since you've aren't really known as well here." Nicole replies.
"Yeah, you were definitely one of the more below the radar contestants." Mick adds.
"I'm sorry you didn't last long here, but I hope you enjoy yourself." Ken admits, making Sam feel better.
"Thank you," he says shyly.
"Before we go, we have one last thing. To perform a short performance for us unmasked, we have the boy behind the Monkey's mask. Give it up for Sam Shoaf!" Nick announces, giving the microphone to Sam for him to sing.
The music ends there, finishing Sam's short performance. He gives the microphone back to Nick, allowing him to end the episode.
"Ladies and gentlemen, this is Nick Cannon, and I hope to see you guys in the next episode of The Masked Singer Jr!"
Before I do anything of usual, let me explain the abrupt end to this chapter. Before/as I write these chapters, I usually have made the plans previously and noted. This helps me since I can only write these when I have spare time, which can span out through the day. When I was at that point writing this chapter, I ran out of ideas. Don't worry though, as soon after finishing this chapter, I quickly thought of plans for the next chapter and am now at least halfway through writing it. Who knows, you might get another early release!
