The night was just as loud as it had always been. The scent of liquor and perfume mixing with the tangy scent of sweat in the atmosphere.

The lights kept flashing, bouncing off the walls and the arena to meet up at different sparkling junctions.

Upbeat music and laughter coincided along with the sweet chatters and clinks of glasses.

Sinner had always been like that-

A space that was free of stagnant mindsets, opinions, grief.. whatever it may be- it was simply a spot to be free of anything and everything.

To enjoy life and to preserve it, to be grateful one exists and gets to experience such a night.

Sinner was a safe haven like that.

Safe for everyone.

Jungkook exhaled softly, taking a swig of the liquor from his glass. The bitter-sweet liquid searing his throat, just right.

This was how it had been for the past week...

Jungkook would either succumb into his den or would linger in Sinner till exhaustion wore him out.

There wasn't anything interesting anymore and being bored to death, Jungkook couldn't help but hang around the club to kill his time.

Ofcourse it had to be her, clinging onto him.

Teenhood trauma lady who has no concept of personal space. Yeah...

Jungkook scoffed childishly, taking another swig of his liquor.

"Oh? Easy there... are you alright Jungkookie?" A feminine voice sparked up beside him, concern laced on the pretty woman's face.

Jungkook sent over a plain smile, his lips pulled into a line. "Yeah... yeah I'm fine Eunjee."

The black haired woman jutted her lip, suspicious as she leaned in close to examine the raventte's face.

Jungkook in return blankly stared at her, keeping his eyes to her own and not letting it wander anywhere below where her curves significantly folded.

"You seem a little agitated... I can lend you an ear..." she smiled, her eyebrows raised.

Jungkook chuckled lightly and looked away, taking hold of his glass to run down another sip down his throat.

"Well if you're being so generous, then there surely must be something you want in return..." Jungkook glanced over at Eunjee who was intently looking at him.

She shyly smiled, twirling her hair between her milky fingers "well if you're putting it like that- I'd like to have your attention for the night..."

Jungkook's lips broke into a smile, chuckling airily.

A good distraction is exactly what he needed.

Biting back the grin on his lips, he leaned in close to the black haired woman, gently taking hold of her chin. Her eyes fluttered close, basking in the warmth as the raventte's breath slithered past her skin.

Jungkook smiled, blinking as he took in the pretty features of the woman. Her frame was small; her clavicles meeting against her skin to form a small juncture withholding her short expanse of her shoulders. Silver rings adorned her milky white smooth fingers that did not harbour any form of callousness at the tips of her fingers. Her face was small and round, crystal clear of any specks or splatters, her rose pink glitter eyelids were smooth and similar- void of any irregularities, her black hair was long and tame... and her scent- it smelled like every other expensive enticing perfume; sweet and light like jasmines and roses.

The woman was indeed very pretty.

But by the time he'd finished admiring her, he had already subconsciously compared her features to that of another person.

Jungkook pulled away, chuckling lightly only to find Eunjee flustered at the turn of events.

"How about I buy you a drink instead? I'm not in the mood for tonight..." Jungkook suggested, raising his finger to catch the bartender's attention.

Eunjee huffed, embarrassed at the blatant rejection and let out a defeated sigh.

"Sure..." she pouted.

Jungkook shook his head in dismissal and ordered another round of drinks.

"So what they say is true..." Eunjee opened up the conversation, curious and interested "I really have no chance, do I?"

Jungkook scoffed, confused and amused at the same time. "What about?"

"Well I've heard you're seeing someone... or something like that... everybody is sort of talking about it" she sighed, taking a sip of her Martini.

"Seeing so-" Jungkook paused, sighing and then whispered softly to himself. "what a mess..."

"...Now that I've seen it for myself... guess I'm gonna walk myself out of this one" Eunjee added, propping her chin on her hand.

Jungkook was taken aback and he sat there, looking at the woman with amusement.

"So you're not gonna hit on me anymore?" He asked, sounding way more cocky than it should have. The upbeat music, once again invading his ears.

Eunjee scoffed, rolling her eyes before she sat up straight.

"No woman hits on another man who is already dating or seeing someone else" she replied in a righteous tone as if she were reading out the declaration of Independence.

"Once, with no solid knowledge about it- is fine... but doing it for the second time with all the proof provided- is nothing but trash behaviour...." she added, her chin slightly pushed upwards.

"And I do not support trash behaviour. So yeah- I'm gonna stop hitting on you..." Eunjee shrugged, taking a sip of her drink.

Jungkook couldn't hold himself back from laughing when he heard everything the woman had said.

He was amused how the rumors had wafted all the way upto the Silver Gates, uprooted its way like weeds down in the realm of Hell and then distributed amongst mortals like charity service...

The more he thought about it, the more absurd it was. And the more absurd it was, the more he wanted to laugh. He couldn't help but wonder if the current year was the exclusive year of idiots.

Jungkook snorted with a chuckle escaping his throat as he took another sip of the bitter sweet liquor, shaking his head as he did although interestingly enough, he'd neither denied nor had he confirmed in response in any of the times when he was accused with the supposed rumors.

Yes... interestingly.

Jungkook looked up towards the ceiling, thousand dangling crystals greeting his vision.

"I'm disappointed but flattered at the same time..." he finally replied, smacking his lips as he kept his glass down on the cool counter.

Eunjee smiled and gulped down rest of her drink in one go. The green liquor in the glass emptying within seconds. She hopped to her feet from the stool and then looked over at the club owner.

She clutched her shimmery golden purse and pulled a grin on her lips.

"I'm gonna go find someone else to lend me some attention for the night... see ya Jungkook!" She clicked her tongue, throwing a wink down at the raventte before she walked away.

Jungkook exhaled softly, turning his attention back to his drink.

Seeing someone?

Is that what they're all talking about??

Just because he isn't sleeping around anymore???

For someone who was proclaimed as the evil-doer, the righteous home-wrecker, the sin-luring-beast, or in other simple words of modern times- a man whore or a fuckboy or a playboy or whichever it was- shouldn't they be glad he had put a halt on all of it for the temporary basis?

What's about all that yapping around just because he wasn't bedding anybody?

Jungkook let a pitiful sigh for everyone out there smashing their heads over something as simple as that...  he even felt slightly embarrassed that people were keeping tabs on this.

Yeah- sure he was talented, brilliant, incredible, amazing, show stopping, spectacular, never the same, totally unique... yada yada Lady Gaga.

But oh well- it was still weird.

Frowning, Jungkook downed his liquor in one go and then jumped to his feet.

The Devil moved past the intoxicated mortals who were lost in their own worlds. Reaching out to his private elevator, he pressed his palm flat against the detector and the doors slid open.

He loosened the tie around his neck and let out a sigh, ruffling his hair up.

Just as the doors slid open, Jungkook stepped into his penthouse. Popping his buttons off one by one as he lazily stripped himself from the white fabric that tightly hugged his torso all the while.

The cool air, slithered around his bare chest- a sight for the eyes.

There wasn't anything in particular revolving around his mind, but Jungkook found himself disturbed and restless than he'd ever been.

It had been a little over a week since he last had a conversation with him- yet the time seemed to have thrown an illusion, making it feel like it had been a decade.

Only if it wasn't for HyunHo showing up in his dreamscape or the ancient Silver runes sprouting out from the blue...

There was no lie with the sudden turn of tides, with the amount of times Jungkook found himself reeling out of his composure was an answer written in gold.

There were too many things happening and Jungkook couldn't keep a track of it.

HyunHo.

The Silver runes for the rise of Legion.

The twisted mortal deaths.

And the most astonishing of it all- the Silver Gates had been awfully silent the whole time, except for the fool SeGi...

Like a calm before the storm, the Heavens didn't seem anything more treacherous than a coiled snake, waiting patiently with its bright blazing light to pounce- to deliver a fatal blow.

Even Namjoon had seemingly gone MIA, after discovering the mortal who was riddled with the silver runes, possessed a token of shield to hide themselves away from being tracked.

The worst part was that Namjoon was adamant on rejecting his summons and Jungkook couldn't help but be agitated over the thought of the righteous older being reprimanded by some annoying wrinkly loose ball-sack of geezers over the whole turn of events...

And finally, there was Jimin.

Colluded with a lot more than he can grasp in his hands.

Jungkook didn't quite know how to assess this situation out of the most.

It was odd, how the Demon seemed loyal and close... yet loyal and far at the moment.

Not having to look through his eyes, Jungkook still could only muster up a rough idea of the root cause behind the change in behaviour.

Yet in the end, he had no idea what the Detective was up to... sure, Jimin stayed around but it still left the Devil queasy in his guts. Not to forget- the lady from the cemetery had also moved in with the two for a temporary period-

Jungkook was sure, if he wasn't any more of an egotistical proud bastard he already was- he would have strutted down to take the man away from his own residence or place a blank cheque at the pretty woman to leave the Detective for once and for all...

But- Jungkook had too much pride like that to pick up petty cards...

Besides- it wasn't that he absolutely needed it to happen all for his own pleasure... rather it was because he enjoyed the Detective's company and only wanted to see him well and away from potential danger that the mortal either dismissed as 'my childhood ex-friend' or 'hypothetical delusional demonic idiocy'

Yeah- that's what it all was about.

He relaxed his clenched jaw, his tongue running along his bottom lip.

He exhaled softly, the wheels in his mind whirring.

Jungkook knew that HyunHo's sudden appearance shouldn't be taken lightly either...

With all the rumors running wild amongst the realms, he was sure Hell was pushing through its chains.

He rubbed his temple, slightly annoyed but then let out an exasperated sigh, contemplating the bitter decision that hung upon him.

Maybe... maybe I'd have to make a trip downstairs afterall... he thought.

Let it be an overly-obssessed dream-invading foolish Demon or what-not... for someone who was chained for a very long time with a clear strict warning plastered to the chest- HyunHo shouldn't be walking around...

Jungkook shook his head, walking towards the kitchen to relieve his parched throat.

He picked up the clear glass, inverting it and placed it on the counter. He unscrewed the crystal knob from the clear golden-brown liquid withholding glass flask. Its triangular cut edge smooth and clear, standing tall.

Jungkook firmly held onto his glass and poured the liquor into it.

He screwed the crystal knob back on ans walked to the refrigerator with his glass of pure malt whiskey.

He opened the door, the cool pleasant air running around his warm chest.

Rummaging for ice as a primary objective, his eyes however ended up landing on something else.

He placed his glass on the counter and diverted his attention to the small bottle sitting snugly amongst other condiments and what not on the rack.

A small smile flicked up on his lips, as he picked up the plastic container.

He unscrewed the cap, the sound creaking as he broke the seal. He hummed softly, and pressed the mouth of the bottle to his lips.

His eyes sparkled slightly, his tastebuds tingling at the sweet flavoured milk. He pulled the bottle away his lips, chuckling to himself  "so this is type of stuff he likes..."

He turned on his heels and shut the door, forgetting everything about his quest to find ice and the tantalizing liquor he had poured for himself not too long ago.

"...how adorable.." Jungkook smiled longingly, his eyes soft.

*********

Taehyung let out a sneeze, the sound resonating through the room and few of his colleagues, peeked over to throw glances at him.

Taehyung lowered his head apologetically, slightly embarrassed.

He pressed his nose to the sleeve imof his jacket, turning his attention back to the file on his desk.

Numerous photographs were sprawled on his desk. Each withholding something gore and similar to each other.

Taehyung stared at the photograph that had bloodied brush strokes taped to the walls, trying to analyze it yet he could think of nothing. It didn't look anything more than that of gibberish to him.

Even with the language and speech expert's help who had visited them earlier that morning- there was nothing they could decipher or conclude from it.

It really did seem like an alien language... or maybe- it really was gibberish...

But something within Taehyung resisted to discard it away as a useless thing, making him believe that the odd brush-strokes were indeed of some importance... or more of a clue that was tightly bound to the Reaper.

It was just a thought in his head, yet it was too loud that he couldn't ignore it anymore.

With the recent case that had been unfortunately opened up to public light- the news outlets had turned malicious, the streets had grown louder and the Nation had eventually fallen into a state of unbound uneasiness.

Uprisings from the public and those of other petty criminals who suddenly found the limelight of opportunity could be seen sprouting everywhere within Seoul, doubling the amount of work the Deprtament had to take up in their hands.

Everyday was pure chaos and Taehyung was exhausted to his limits.

He couldn't remember the last time he had a proper 7-hours of sleep and nor could he remember a time when his brain didn't feel like it was being stirred with a pair of chopsticks within his skull.

Sighing, Taehyung picked up another photograph and pursed his lips shut. The more he looked at the hollow-eyed woman being pinned to the cross, the more he felt his stomach churn.

Taehyung didn't understand the significance of any of it- what was the Reaper trying to portray with crucifying the victim? What was the significance of removing their eyes? Their heart? Was there even a meaning to begin with?

Taehyung didn't know. He didn't know anything.

Taehyung couldn't help but grit his teeth at his incompetence of saving another person who fell victim to this gruesome crime.

Sighing to himself, he pushed away the thoughts in his head and looked down at his phone, the time reading 11pm.

Pressing his fingers to his face he let out another sigh. Going back to his apartment was annoying enough these days but for the single streak of humanity left within him, he was letting Areum stay over.

Even Jimin seemed to be uncomfortable around the woman, it wasn't surprising when he reluctantly had to move out from his room out of courtesy with the sudden guest being a woman.

Taehyung had let Jimin take up space in his own room as a temporary measure instead, not wanting Areum anywhere near him or Jimin for that matter.

If anything, he absolutely detested her but hearing her side of story that she was attempting to escape from her abusive household, Taehyung swallowed back his anger.

Taehyung had long heard about her in-laws being terrible people. The fact that she had left Daegu after all those years, aided enough to the reason.

But Areum was one of the few things that tied him back to his mistakes in the past. To the mistakes that were still raw in his flesh and conscience. To the mistakes he wanted to erase, for the disastrous outcomes it led to- where in the end he couldn't save the one person he loved and adored the most.

Taehyung was no saint- that he knew. He was never the one to draw a roof overhead for a person that had betrayed and scarred him. He wasn't merciful like that.

On any given situation, he was sure he'd slam the door on Areum's face.

But just for the sake how Seoul was running at the moment, he had pushed down his pride to his guts. To let a defenseless, helpless woman out in the unfamiliar streets where the crime rate had spiked up, wouldn't just be dangerous but also negligence on his part... and for this sake alone, Taehyung had closed his eyes.

"Hey- Taehyung, you okay man?" Hoseok's warm voice invaded his senses and Taehyung sat up straight, nodding a bit with affirmation.

"Yeah.. did the reports from unit4 pass through?" Taehyung looked up at the male- his state not any less than that of Taehyung's own. His hair slightly disheveled and tiredness strained all across his face, yet he kept his expression neutral and energetic.

"Not yet. Its more likely for it to be submitted tomorrow morning..." Hoseok replied, leaning against Taehyung's desk.

"Ah- and uh Johnny has managed to track down the main base of DrugD2. I just got the news that Unit2 and 3 is dispatched for the raid. If this whole thing goes right, we can atleast solve two of our major problems..." Hoseok exhaled, shaking his head.

Taehyung hummed with relief, feeling the tension in his veins ease by a bit.

"So that leaves us the Reaper's case..." Taehyung paused, looking down at his desk  "...I still can't figure it out, how the Reaper chooses their victims... Lee Saerin was a university student who worked part time at a restaurant, Do KyungSoo was a regular man who worked at an office and Amy Lee was a literature student who..." Taehyung paused, clenching and unclenching his jaw  "...worked as a singer at a nightclub"

Taehyung exhaled lightly  "looking back at the precision of the murder, I thought maybe it had something to do with a medical proffesional- maybe it still does... something about it having to do with their records... but their medical records have nothing that coincides with each other. Even their bloodgroups differ- AB, B, A...  Their day-to-day life events are different and varied."

Hoseok pressed his finger to his chin, thinking hard "each of their corpse had their eyes and hearts removed, dressed in a pure white robe and positioned in a manner as if the Reaper is trying to depict some odd twisted catholic symbolism.."

Hoseok grimaced, a visible shiver running through him "the more I think about it, the more it throws me off... Makes me feel like the killer is trying to tease the heavens or some shit like lure in the Demons..."

Taehyung rolled his eyes at the comment but didn't reply, knowing Hoseok was already paranoid than he already was knowing all too well that the resemblance between the crimes and his theories weren't all that far-fetched.

Taehyung looked away, his gaze fixated on a wall with his mind drifting back to the time when Jungkook had said something just as- if not, even more ridiculous that aligned with Hoseok's words.

He lowered his gaze and exhaled softly to himself.

Taehyung didn't want to confirm to himself or anybody else- but the days had definitely grown quieter and gloomier with each second.

He didn't know when he had grown accustomed to the obnoxious loud chatter around him... now that it was gone, the absence of it had rocked his senses harder than he'd ever imagined.

Taheyung didn't want to agree.

But it really was futile to ignore when his heart stung.

Taehyung pulled a plain smile on his lips and looked up at Hoseok.

"I'll go ahead and check if Jin has got anything for us." Taehyung spoke up, standing up to his feet.

"Mm I'll go monitor the mission with Jihyo in the Communication room then. Lemme know if something comes up." Hoseok replied, shoving his hands unto his pockets.

Taehyung nodded to which Hoseok smiled faintly, but his eyes flickered to the side same as Taehyung when they heard a commotion.

The two, quickly walked over only to find few officers stranded in the hallway.

"Stop! Stop it-" A familiar deep voice yelled out in a frantic tone.

"I NEED TO SEE HIM- I NEED TO ASK HIM WHERE TH- ARGJ!!" Another voice followed yelping. It was high pitched and even more distressed than the other.

"STOP! STOP YOU'RE HURTING HIM!" The deep voiced man broke down.

Taehyung frowned and walked ahead, clenching his jaw.

The junior officers who noticed his presence, immidately cleared a path for him and moved to the edge of the wall.

Taehyunh pursed his lips, looking at the two familiar faces. The taller one was held by two officers whilst the shorter male was pinned to the wall.

The frown on Taehyung's face beamed.

Jungho and Lee Donghyuk.

The younger male, Donghyuk continued struggling and hissing at the officer who had pinned him to the wall, his face shifting from ten shade of red and white.

Taehyung clenched his jaw, irritated.

"Officer. Let go of the child." Taehyung nimbly spoke out, his face was devoid of any emotion but if watched closely, one could spot flames in his dark irises.

Although Donghyuk managed to grimace at the address, but Taehyung ignored it.

His tone was cold and as clear as ice, enough to cut through a rock. The junior officers and few of the seniors who had stopped by, all pursed their lips. Few, with the shiver that ran down their spine and others who simply felt the distaste in their mouth with the show coming to an end.

"But sir- they barged in-" the hot blooded Junior Officer replied, feeling the obvious intensity in the air.

"You dont have to pin a minor to the wall with your arm pressing him in his nape." Taehyung stepped ahead, his tone dropping few octaves lower.

"Let go. Don't make me repeat it to you."

The Officer's face reddened with embarrassment and immidiately let go of the boy, so did the other two who had restrained Jungho.

The older male quickly shielded the younger one, formally bowing and apologizing for the latter's actions.

"Please forgive us- I apologise.. I apologise. Please-" JungHo grit his teeth through his words, but Donghyuk nowhere seemed to be finished.

"Yeah why don't you try me now you ba-pft"

The younger male wasn't even able to finish his sentence, before Taehyung walked past him and grabbed onto his jacket's collar, dragging him away with a solemn face as if he were pulling onto the reins of that of a horse.

DongHyuk took no hint and continued rambling and hissing at the Man who was pulling him away from the small crowd.

JungHo closely followed, his face plastered with worry as he continuously bowed his head apologetically to anyone who looked over at them.

The chase was short. Taehyung pulled the boy into a room and Jungho quickly slipped in. It wasn't big and spacious, the walls were plain white and few cabinets pressed against it. A coffee machine was propped on one of the counters, and few paper cups placed next to it.

The Detective let go of Donghyuk, who was retaliating but was immidiately held back by the older male.

"I'll cut straight to the point" Taehyung voiced out sternly, looking at the younger male.

"I know you're distressed with what happened to your sister and you want answers but you need to cooperate with us. We are not sitting idle and wasting away our time, we can only do as much as we can at the moment." Taehyung exhaled, his jaw still clenched.

"Walking into the Department and creating a commotion is not courage but foolishness."

"Detective Kim we understand. I'm sorry. We're both sorry. Please forgive Donghyuck... its just- We're just.." Jungho bit his lips, hanging his head low as his shoulders slightly shook "she was so young... she didn't deserve any of this- none of them did..."

He then looked up at Taehyung, a sheen glaze on his eyes.

"But we're restless.. if there's anything I can do- if there's anything that I can help-"

Taehyung sighed, dropping his gaze "I appreciate it... but this is not something either of you can handle..."

Exhaling, Taehyung looked up, his fingers curling on his sides. Donghyuk seemed to be calm, but his eyes were fierce and a little red, as if was trying to hold himself back.

"But I promise... I will do everything I can in my power to bring justice for your sister and everybody else. I promise... okay?"

"So please... cooperate with the investigation. Leave this to us."

"Then please.. quickly find them..." Donghyuk grit through his teeth with pain in his tone.

Taehyung's eyes softened looking at the younger male "we will... we definitely will."

*********

Taehyung skipped up the stairs, his footwork a little heavier from the snow ladened path. The night was dark holding no wisp of the bright moon. The wind wasn't strong, yet it was as cold as sharp icicles stabbing in the gut.

His keys jingled as he pushed them into the keyhole. His fingers a little blue from the cold winter.

He quickly opened the door and stepped in, the warmth greeting him almost immidiately.

He let out a puff of air, shutting the door behind him. He hung his coat up the hook and slipped out of his shoes, keeping them aside neatly.

A soft glow from the lamp stood as the only source of light in the living room. He looked down at the couch that wasn't disheveled and then up at the door of the spare room that was firmly shut

Jimin isn't back and Areum is already asleep, Taheyung concluded in his head. Exhaling, he walked past the living room and into his own room. He shut the door slowly, shedding his jacket and shirt as he walked closer to his bed.

He unbuttoned his jeans with great trouble as exhaustion finally latched onto his legs and shoulders.

He tumbled onto his bed, his bones finally giving in, his brain almost splitting inside his skull.

Taehyung didn't know if it was because of the pressure from work, the weather, a possible case of brain tumor or from skipping his meals or simply because he had grown too fragile to close his eyes from the fear of being tormented by the blazing orbs that burned his skin.

He groaned slightly, inhaling the scent from his sheets and feeling a sense of comfort seeping into him.

Taehyung curled his fingers, his nails piercing into his skin, desperately trying to stay awake but his eyelids grew heavier.

No..

No...

It was too late. It was too late.

His eyes shot open, his chest flared with spasms and his gut twisting, as if something else was trying to move around it. Taehyung's pupils constricted with a sudden strike of lightening and he let out a blood-curling shriek, feeling the scalding pain of thousand ants crawling  into each of his veins.

His face contorted, tears streaming down his face as he watched the skin on his chest erode bit by bit, the red bleeding muscles coming to his view- but that too was soon gone as if he was being eaten away layer by layer. He watched his own ribs break, turning to dust right before his eyes.

He was dead.

He was dead.

He was dead.

But he was alive- no.. his conscious was alive

Alive, watching his own body being torn to bits.

He looked down, with horror stricken face, feeling a hand grab his spine.

Please.. no.. no..

And then it snapped.

It burned, all he could feel was pain. Just pain.

His eyes burned, his tears no longer pearl dewdrops rather deep scarlet that seeped down continuously.

He felt the hand seep between his flaring lungs and all he could do was stare at the emptiness. He bit his lips, trying to hold back his scream but he felt blood rush up his throat.

It felt as if someone had grabbed onto his heart, squeezing it painfully and trying to pull it out of his chest.

His vision darkening with the excruciating pain and paralysis slamming him together.

And then he looked up, with blood stained face.

Two red flaming suns stared down him, merciless and unforgiving.

He felt his flesh corrode, the longer he stared at the bright daunting light, the heavier the air grew with each second.

He grit his teeth, almost shattering them in his mouth m, feeling a liquid stream down out of his ears, same as his eyes other orifices.

He could only stare upwards, but he didn't dare to plead or beg anymore and the orbs shimmered brighter as his vision darkened.

He shut his eyes, the pain eroding away same as his life force.

It was peaceful... it no longer hurt.

It was calm, his thoughts in a disarray but it still felt calm. He couldn't feel his body, nor could he feel his heart beat... but it was finally quiet.

Nothing hurt anymore.

He couldn't see, nor could he feel, as he drifted into the nothingness.

Yet, he could sense something shielding him, as if he was being embraced tightly and protected from all sorts of harm.

He exhaled softly, tightly holding onto the source of comfort- too afraid, that if he'd let go, he'd have to face hell again.

So he held onto it, even if he couldn't feel his arms or legs, he still tried desperately.

He felt his senses jolt when he felt a hand slither around his neck.

Expecting, the hand to crush him and take his breath away, he whimpered but the hand didn't hurt him anymore.

It simply caressed his cheek, as if it was trying to wipe his tears away.

And then he heard it.

A distant and soft voice, that made his bones melt- not with pain, but warmth.

Heal.

Jungkook pursed his lips shut, his jaw clenched.

His brows tightly pulled with irritation and anger from thousand other things that revolved in his head.

His attention diverted when he felt the figure under him slightly moved but he was no longer gasping and groaning in pain.

The Devil shut his eyes, pouring his concentration into transferring his own energy into the mortal.

He opened his eyes, now more calmer and tame.

He again wiped the tear that streamed down his cheeks ans Jungkook felt his own heart constrict.

What was he dreaming about?

What did he dream that it triggered the Devil himself to fall into panic?

Jungkook exhaled watching the Detective's calm face. His forehead glistening with sweat, same as his bare torso. His damp eyelashes quivered like fragile wings of a butterfly.

Jungkook pursed his lips again. The dark cloud twisting and revolving around them, as strings of white light connected the Detective with his palm.

Jungkook was stunned for the most, but then his worry overwhelmed within his senses.

He didn't know how someone who was asleep could summon him from the scratch. Not a pentagram, not a blood sacrifice, not even evil gibberish incantations...

The more he thought about it, the more twisted it was.

And now that he recalled this wasn't the first time it happened when it came to Detective Kim... Jungkook knew something was up.

His thoughts however dissipated when he felt a tug on his sleeve.

The Detective's slender and long fingers, seemed small and nimble as it wrapped around the edge of his sleeve, tightly gripping on it.

A faint smile drew upon Jungkook's lips, feeling warmth enclose his chest.

He leaned in close, staring intently at the man who was asleep.

"You make me worry... Detective Kim." He softly spoke, his thumb swiping against the soft skin of the Detective's cheek.

"...but as long as I'm here, there's nothing that can harm you..." Jungkook smiled softly as he drew in closer, pressing his lips to the Detective's temple.

Jungkook didn't dwell upon why he did it... it just... felt right, so he closed his eyes.

Sweet dreams.. Detective Kim

Jimin stepped back, his eyes widened as dread casted upon his face, turning it purple and blue.

No...

No this isn't possible...

He stared at the man with cerulean blue eyes, who had finally opened his eyes after a week or so.

"... this is what I saw.." he heaved a breath, his voice scratchy and rough.

"This can't be true." Jimin deadpanned.

"Do you think... I am foolish to force the vision, almost die while I'm at it and then lie to you?" Yoongi spit venomously, falling into a fit of cough.

"My... my visions don't lie Demon. Take it if you want or not... I don't care-" Yoongi rasped, wiping the edge of his mouth.

Jimin paced around the room, not knowing what step he should take next.

There was something about a shootout, a fire, a sacrifice, Mortem, flowers, and then a blood bath...

A bloodbath where he dies.

Jimin looked up, his nostrils flaring.

"I want you to do it again." Jimin announced, his tone fierce and loud.

Yoongi blinked, dazed. His cerulean eyes shimmering in rage as he howled "Are you fucking crazy?! Once is fine- two takes a huge toll on me- thrice will completely disintegrat-"

"NOT HIM!" Jimin bellowed, cutting the See-er off.

"Jungkook." Jimin paused  "I want you to look into Jungkook's future"

Hearing this, Yoongi almost turned as pale as lime stone.

"Just kill me already. I BEG OF YOU!" The See-er lashed out with horror. "ARE YOU FUCKING WITH ME?! THE MOMENT HE CATCHES ME I AM GOING TO DIE."

"YOU'RE GOING TO DIE EITHERWAYS. ITS ON YOU IF YOU WANNA DIE NOW OR LATER" Jimin retorted with the same tone as the other.

"WELL IF THATS THE CASE, THEN I'LL CHOOSE TO DIE NOW YOU BASTARD!" Yoongi roared, shattering the glass table and grabbing hold of a glass shard in attempt to stab himself to death, but the pink-haired Demon was quick enough to hold him back.

His eyes blazing bright red and he lowly snarled at the See-er.

"If you kill yourself... I will crawl my way back to hell, find your soul, and cut you into a million pieces and fix you back and cut into a million pieces again, leaving you to wish that you'd cease existing to escape from me-" the Demon threatened, locking the See-er's arm in a tight painful manner.

"...I swear... to Jungkook.. so don't fucking try me" He grit through his teeth and Yoongi gulped, a sheen glaze forming over his eyes from the pain of his arm being twisted into a state of severe blood clotting.

The pink haired demon exhaled and then finally let go, of the See-er.

Driving his fingers through his hair he sighed out feeling a migraine creep up to him.

"I'll tell you when and where it will happen.. try to heal yourself now that you're awake. I'm tired of tending and sharing my energy with a stubborn weak old bag of catnips" Jimin cursed out, clicking his tongue and then walked out of the door.

Jimin pulled his coat closer to his body as he stepped into the snow the roads were empty with not a single wisp of a living soul.

It wasn't suprising... it was almost 3am afterall.

He walked ahead, but his feet came to a sudden pause, when he sensed something.

He quickly gripped onto his knife, his stance changing- ready to attack.

A figure stepped out of the alley, almost calmly and ominously.

The fierce expression on Jimin's face drained, a frown crawling up his face.

"Thought you died." He spat out, holding no remorse in his tone.

"Well.. sorry to disappoint you." The Silver Angel calmly replied and Jimin clicked his tongue, straightening up.

Namjoon's eyes drifted upwards towards the 5-storey apartment that Jimkn walked out of, his eyebrows immidiately furrowing.

"This-" he began but was immidiately cut off by the Demon.

"None of your business. Stay out of things that don't concern you." Jimin sharply bit off.

Namjoon lowered his gaze and let out a sigh.

"What are you here for anyway?"

"I was looking for you, needing something to confirm- but looks like you're already onto it-" Namjoon pursed his lips, his eyes flickering to the fourth floor of the building then back at the Demon.

"What do you mean?!" Jimin grit his teeth.

"The See-er.. who are you using him on? Jungkook? Or the Mortal?" Namjoon replied, his eyes void of any emotions.

"I told you to stay out o-" Jimin burst out, but his eyes immidiately widened as he paused "what makes you think I used him on Taehyung?"

Namjoon pursed his lips, the wind ceasing to blow past as utter silence enveloped around them.

"You don't know..." he whispered to himself, but Jimin had keen ears.

"What do you mean?!"

"The rumors... are not baseless." Namjoon replied, his tone solemn but a cloud could be seen in his pale eyes.

"..And because I am the protector of souls... its my duty to protect mortal souls from losing it to the hands of evil..." Namjoon continued.

Jimin stepped ahead, the pure white snow crushing under his boots. "Stop cutting around the damn bush you stone wall-"

"Jungkook has made a blood contract with Taehyung."

Jimin felt a white light lash through him, his lungs constricting upto his throat with his eyes widening.

His fingers slightly trembled on his sides.

"What did you... just say?" Jimin finally managed to speak up.

"It has been months now... but the overdue is taking its toll on him now." Namjoon replied, his tone sombre

No... no.

Jimin clenched his fingers tightly.

"Even if you try to alter the future for the rumors that have arisen... you cannot deny the Coronation feast."

Namjoon paused "but more to that... there's no way he can escape the prophecy"

Jimin could no longer breathe, his chest constricting.

"If Jungkook ever looses his senses to his true nature at this point on the demand... prior to the Coronation Feast..."

"The first one to die on his hands..."

Jimkn stumbled to his knees, his eyes paling same as his fear-stricken face.

"...will eitherway... be Kim Taehyung."
