Cally's Pov: The door burst open revealing Damien in all his glory holding a gun in his right hand, while clutching onto the door knob.
His eyes scanned the room before they landed on me and widened in nothing but shock.
Without wasting another second, he ran towards me and stood in front of me with a smile on his handsome face.
I don't know when but I felt tears started falling down my eyes, his hand reached for my cheeks wiping my tears away.
I knew he was here, here to save me.
I cupped his jaw and looked into his eyes that I fell in love with and he did the same.
I leaned over so that I was just centimeters away from his face and When I was about to lean in to kiss him, we heard a "BANG"
I sprang open my eyes to the loud sound that came breaking my very unfamiliar slumber, I looked around the room for Damien but I was still in a chair with my hands and legs tied. I snapped into reality that Damien wasn't here and it was all just a dream.
Tears slid down my face in disappointment that I was still stuck in this horrid place along with Aiden not knowing where he was.
"Wake up you idiot!" Veronica yelled at me while shaking my shoulder aggressively, I gazed at her not saying a word. I don't want to say anything. In fact I was speechless cause of how these two played Damien.
"Veronica groaned loudly," Don't just sit here you bit--She was saying only to get cut off by mike "God's sake Ver! We will deal with her later but now all we need is that money."
Veronica gave me one last glare before turning her head towards Mike,
"Veronica I already talked to you about this, he wants Cally and her nephew with no bruises or anything. We will get her okay, he just needs to see her and her nephew safe then..." Mike spoke in a very low voice, but I couldn't catch what he was saying at the end.
"What does Mike mean he needs to see me and Aiden safe then..."? I hope they are not planning to do something bad to Damien or Aiden.
Whatever it was Veronica glanced my way and nodded her head not taking her gaze off me,
"Of course then you would be all mine" she walked towards me and stood in front of me crouching down to my height,
"He will suffer once we are done with you."
She'll be done with me? What does she mean?
I furrowed my eyebrows in confusion and was about to ask her that's when the doors opened and mu uncle entered, she was wearing gloves and was clutching onto a white handbag walking towards Mike,
"Did you get her in position like I asked? My uncle asked Mike and Veronica.
"Mike turned to Veronica, "What position?"
The uncle rolled his eyes then searched his bag for something, "I meant for this." he took out a huge syringe out of his bag making me furrow my eyebrows at him.
"Hold her down now!" Uncle shouted making mike flinch, "Oh yes, we will get to it now."
Before I knew what was happening, all three surrounded me in a circle, mike holding onto my shoulders and Veronica holding onto my face roughly with a satisfied smirk on her face, Then uncle came forwards in front of me quickly checking if the syringe was working then looked at me, "This might hurt" He evilly smirked at me, I shook my head in fear.
I hate syringes.
My hands were shaking and trembling, "No no please not the syringe" I begged her but the syringe neared my neck, "I beg you please don't"
I screamed when the uncle stabbed my neck with the syringe before pushing the liquid down and I felt nothing but pure pain, sweat beads forming on my head.
"My vision got dizzy and I became weaker and weaker."
"Help me." I whispered before completely blanking out.

Hours later...
I groaned in pain walking up to something patting my shoulders , I did not open my eyes in fear and kept them shut. "Aunty" wake up! a voice whispered shaking my shoulders for me to respond.
"Aunty!" wake up the voice whispered a bit louder, I shuffled around to wake up to a pair of brown eyes looking back at me with tears.
"A-drian?" I asked surprised that he was actually here or was I hallucinating, Aunty!" he cried and hugged me tightly as if he was scared to let me go, I was definitely sure i was not in some kind of dream now.
Hugging Adrian back I realized I was lying on a cold floor in an unfamiliar room. No lights. no nothing just a window very far off from our reach that to was closed tightly.
"How did I even get here?"
Adrian kept sobbing and holding me tightly as I got up into a sitting position from the ground, "Aunty I am scared! he said crying, I kissed his forehead, "Shh it's ok, I tried calming him down,
"I don't wanna be here!" he yelled sobbing "I want my mommy". I kissed his forehead and rested my chin on his head.
"It's okay, I am here. I said softly to him". But the truth was it was not okay I was scared shitless and did not know how to get me and Aiden safely out of this situation.
"Wrapping my arms around him in a way of protection, I made sure he was comfortable, "Auntie she hit me" Aiden said and my hands unwrapped around him.
"What do you mean?" I asked gazing down at his face which was red.
"A man threw me and said mean words to me" he explained and I gasped.
Did he hurt him.
"Where did he hurt you Adrian?" I asked him as he moved aside few hairs on his head and that's when I saw it.
A huge cut with dried up blood surrounding it and fresh blood oozing out of it. I gasped again seeing it and tore a piece of cloth from my shirt and ties it around his head.
Then, I gently rocked him back and forth till he fell asleep, I gently placed his head on my lap and stroked his head so that he can sleep comfortably. Aiden must have slept on the cold floor all night. I can't imagine what he must have gone through.
I guess that uncle, veronica and mike must have dragged me here when I blanked out. I stared at the wall feeling so hopeless.
I felt so helpless and tired that I can't even protect my nephew from these monsters. I can't help but feel like a complete failure.
A tear slipped out of my eyes making more to fall down my face.
If only I found a way to escape out of here with Adrian. I glared at the window then the wooden barrels, ropes and rocks that lied on the ground. I frowned and then glanced back at the window.
Barrel, rocks, rope Window...Barrel, ropes, rocks, window....
Idea! Just as I was about to walk towards the window, I heard hushed sounds coming from outside the room, "Did you call him?" I heard the voice of uncle asking, Someone was unlocking the door from the other side, I quickly pretended to sleep on the ground with Aiden by my side sleeping soundly.
"I did and he will be arriving within minutes but until then we will hide Cally and Adrian here. the uncle said, the door burst open revealing veronica and Mike walking in, I pretended to be asleep so that I could hear what they were planning. "Yes but then what? This time veronica asked as uncle's voice filled the room and he entered.
"I heard uncle groan, once Damien comes here to get the slut and her nephew we will make him give us the money then we will kill these two putting all the blame on Damien."
I mentally gasped at his answer but still kept my eyes shut shaking and screaming from inside.
"No No they can kill me but not Adrian!!
I heard Mike sigh, but how will this work out? I mean Damien would actually want to see them first before giving us the money.
"Jesus, we will show them to him, and once he hands over the money we will shoot them. Uncle said earning a chuckle from Veronica.
Suddenly I heard loud sound from afar startling Adrian from his sleep, "What was that?" Veronica asked in horrified tone.
"I think he is here" uncle said and I heard pair of footsteps walking away from us. "Veronica you keep a guard on Cally and her nephew while me and Mike deals with Damien, is that clear? Uncle asked Veronica I am guessing.
"Yes I would be outside of this room guarding it" Veronica replied and after that I heard the loud slamming of the door.
