*Asami's pov*
Me and Korra were sitting in the kitchen after breakfast, talking and figuring out stuff
"I don't know, do you want your parents to know?"
"Well Tenzin said-"
"Fuck Tenzin Korra, I need to know what you want"
We were talking about if Korra should tell her parents or not that we are dating
"I don't know, I think they deserve to know, Tenzin said the same" Korra sighed as she finished her cup of tea
"It's your choice Korra, I'm not gonna force you to do it" I said and placed my hand on hers and smiled at her
"How about we go visit them? Would you like to?"
"Of course I would! I would love to! Should I pack something?"
"Make sure to pack yourself, we won't stay for the night, we'll just stop by and visit them, I can show you the place where I grew up some next time" she smiled and I nodded
"Alright, when will we go?"
"When we get ready? It's no rush, we'll use the spirit portals so we'll be there in a few hours"
"Okay then" I said with a smile as I stood up and grabbed hers and my empty cups, then I walked over to the sink and started washing them, not long after, a pair of strong buffy hands wrapped around my stomach and I felt Korra place her head on my shoulder, I stopped the water and placed the clean cups on the cupboard, then I turned around and hugged her
"Your hands are wet"
"Mhm, and what are you gonna do about it?"
"Nothing, I don't mind" she chuckled and I placed a small kiss on top of her head, she looked at me and smiled then placed her head back on my shoulder, but my eye caught something I haven't noticed before, there was a small like, really really small scar of a cut on Korra's forehead, I think I saw this somewhere before... But where?
Questions flooded in my head, how did she get it? And why was it so familiar? Should I ask her about it?
"I could stand here all day but we should get ready" Korra broke the silence after a while
"Yeah, you're right"
"Are you okay?"
"Yeah I was just thinking"
"What about?" she pulled back and gave me a serious look
"Korra I promise, it's nothing" I said with a smiled and she just sighed and nodded
"Come on, let's go" she smiled afterwards.

*Spirit world*
*Korra's pov*
"I love this place"
"Same, the memories we have here"
We looked at each other and smiled, hand in hand walking towards the other portal, I noticed earlier that there was something off with Asami, she kept assuring me that she is okay but I didn't want to believe that. I was kinda nervous about the whole coming out thing, my dad is really strict with the water tribe traditions and I hope he won't mind, I am not worried about my mom, she will be supportive for sure.
It didn't take long and we were in front of the spirit portal
"Ready?"
"I think so"
"Don't worry Korra, it will be okay" Asami smiled and I sighed. We opened our bags and changed into some warmer clothes and then we stepped in.
Once we got to the other side, we were met by the members of White Lotus, guiding the portal
"Avatar Korra, what brings you here?"
"Commander, I came to visit my parents, can we borrow one of these snowmobiles please?"
"Of course"
"Thank you, we should be back in few hours" I finished as we sat on the snowmobile
I soon noticed the Future Industries logo and looked at Asami
"You're everywhere" I laughed
"Yeah, I remember this model, it was one of the first ones made but it's still a good piece, should I drive?"
"I think your driving skills are better than mine so" I laughed and Asami nodded with a smile

We soon arrived at my parent's hut, it was around 2 pm, soon my mom opened the door for us
"Korra and Asami! It's so good to see you! What brings you here?" She said as she hugged me tightly then she went over to Asami and shook her hand
"Hey mom, it's good to see you too, we thought it would be good to come visit" I smiled and pulled back
"Come in" she moved out of the way as we stepped in
"Could you stop working for a little baby? We have visitors" Mom said to my dad that was sitting at the kitchen table with some papers, he raised his head right after that and saw us standing there
"Would you look at that, hello girls" He laughed as he walked up to us and hugged me then also shaken hands with Asami
"Come sit, I'll make you some tea," My mom said as we sat down and so did my dad
"So what brings you here?"
"Nothing really, we just decided to stop by" I smiled
"How's your company Asami?" Mom asked and she looked at us
"It's doing pretty good actually! I got new partners and first models of new motorbikes, Sato-m-bikes as they got officially called, are finally in progress of distribution" Asami smiled "Can I hel-"
"No no sweetie no need to, same goes for you Korra, just sit" Mom smiled
"How's the new leg?" My dad asked
"It's really good! I can finally run! Not for long distances yet, but I can run"
"We're so thankful that you are helping our daughter like this Asami, if you'll ever need anything we are here for you," Mom said as she placed the cups of tea in front of us
"It's no problem Mrs.Waters, Korra means a lot to me, I'm more than happy to help"
"Please call me Senna, I think we already agreed that there is no need to be formal, you are like our second daughter and I'm always happy to see you, isn't that right honey?"
"Of course, we are here for you"
"Thank you so much, both of you" Maybe they will be supportive
"So dad, any new interesting cases?"
"No not really, not much action happening here" he said and I chuckled
"You should see Republic City, just yesterday there was a fire in a building that broke down in the end" I smiled
"Really? Is everyone okay?" mom asked
"Yeah, thankfully most of the people got out in time, Korra had to go inside and help some people out but everyone got out without being hurt or with just small would"
"Korra is that true? You could've gotten hurt!"
"Dad it's my job I am the Avatar, plus nothing really happened, I went through a lot worse than some fire" I sighed. I looked at Asami, asking for permission to break the news and she nodded with a smile
"Something is up, I know that look," mom said and I chuckled
"Well there are some news we wanna tell you" I started, and getting questioning looks from both of my parents "Wu um... me and Asami live together and we are kinda sorta together"
I was growing more and more nervous about their reaction
"You guys are dating?" my mom asked
"Y-yeah, we are, and I want you to know that I love Korra with my whole heart and that I would never hurt her" Asami said as she held my hand
"That's so sweet! I'm so happy for you" mom said and she smiled at us but my dad was awkwardly silent
"Dad?"
Nothing, he placed his hand on his forehead and at that moment I knew I fucked up.
"You're gay? Seriously?! No offence Asami you are a nice young woman but both of you should have a nice young man, Mako was an asshole but there is a full city of young boys!" He shouted, me, Asami and my mom were shocked at his reaction, he stood up with his hand still on his forehead, he walked over to a window and looked outside
"Dad come on, that I am in love with other women won't change anything" I stood up and went after him
"I can't believe it, my own daughter, my blood is a fucking dyke!"
"What is your problem?!" I yelled and pushed him
"That's enough both of you!"
"Korra listen to your mom"
"No! I wanna hear it! What's wrong dad? Cat got your tongue? Why can't you just accept me? WHAT IS YOUR PROBLEM?!" I got mad, so mad, why? What's the problem with people being in love? Love is love, it doesn't matter in which form.
He looked at me and took a step closer
"You will NOT talk to me in this tone! I am your father! And I will decide about your future!"
"No fucking way" as soon as I finished the sentence, I felt a sharp pain across my cheek, it didn't really hurt, but the fact my own father just slapped me did hurt
"Get.Out."
"With pleasure" I smiled and walked outside
"Korra wait! Are you okay?" Asami ran up to me when I got outside, I looked at her and soon after, my mom came
"I'm so sorry honey, he is just furious about it, he believes in traditions, but I want you to know you have my support no matter what" she said and she placed her hand on my cheek
"Thanks mom, I think we should go"
"Call me please, I will talk to him" she said
"I will, goodbye mom, please don't let him hurt you"
"Korra, he might be angry but he woul-"
"Mom please... look at what he did, I want you to be careful" I held her hand hoping she will listen to me
"I will, get back safely"
"We will, I love you"
"I love you too sweetie, both of you" and with that, she walked back in
"So are we leaving?"
"Yes but there is one more thing I wanna do" I smirked "HEY TONRAQ! WATCH THIS!" he looked at me through the window as I pulled Asami closer and kissed her deeply, then we jumped on the snowmobile and drove away, I was driving but it wasn't that hard, and Asami seemed to be still shocked about what just happened.
Soon I felt her hands wrap around my waist and she placed her head on my back
"I love you so much" she chuckled
"I love you too" I smiled and continued our way to the spirit portal.

"Do you think it was a good idea?"
"You were laughing"
"I know but he is still your father Korra"
"Yeah, but I am clearly not his daughter anymore" I stopped and Asami did too
"Come on don't say that" she said and she hugged me
"I am sure of that, you don't know him like I do" I sighed and hugged her back "do you wanna go home or?"
"There is one place I would like to visit"
"Of course, let's go, lead the way"
Asami and I walked out of the spirit portal in Republic City, it was dark already, and I had no idea where she is leading me but I trust her.
Soon we got to... Oh god, that's Republic City cemetery, I know damn well why we are here
Asami kept walking as we were passing more and more graves until we got to one small on the right side, not really special from the others
*-Yasuko Sato-*
She stopped there looking at the gravestone
"Hey...mom" I put my hand on her shoulder, trying to tell her that it's okay if she wants to talk to her mom.
"I hope you're doing fine up there, look who is here with me, it's Korra, we are together now" she smiled as I held her hand
"I'm sure you would understand, I'm really happy that I have her.... I miss you mom" she stopped for a little and looked at the grave next to this one
*-Hiroshi Sato-*
"Both of you" she finished and I noticed a small tear escape her eye. She quickly wiped it off and placed her head on my shoulder and squeezed my hand
"I hope you are happy up there" she sighed and I pulled into a hug, she soon started sobbing as I held her close
"Mr and Mrs Sato, I promise I will take care of your daughter, I'm gonna love her with my whole heart, and protect her even if it should cost me life" I said, I felt Asami's grip tighten as we just stood there hugging each other in silence
"Do you think they would accept me?" Asami broke the silence after a while
"I'm sure they would, your dad was a good guy, and from what I know about your mom she was amazing"
"She sure was, the best mom anyone could have" Asami chuckled
"They would be proud of you Asami"

Second, I'm happy to say I got tested negative for Corona, so the story shouldn't get affected in any way.
