No ships really, just a really close bond between Rainbow, Blue and Red.
I'm considering this more of a close friendship/brotherly bond, but if you choose to see this as a ship chapter, feel free to do so :)

•Rainbow Steve's PoV
"Blue Steve?!" I yelled, running towards him and catching him as his knees buckled under him. He winced, and leaned against the cave wall, me standing in front of him. I turned around and glared daggers at the Nightmare King.
"Huh. He did it, he actually did it. You know what? I'll leave you to deal with this.. Mess.." He spat, before there was lightning, and he was gone.
The lightning was close to us, so I knelt down and shielded Blue from the lightning, getting hit a few times. I couldn't let him be more hurt.
Once it was over, I frantically moved away and looked at him, tears pricking my eyes.
His body was covered in burns and wounds, his eyes seemed duller then before, and his skin was paler.
I snapped out if my thoughts upon hearing him whimper.
I quickly checked my inventory for anything of use, but there was nothing. Even the Blue Artifact wouldn't do anything now.
A few tears fell and I bit my lip, trying not to break down. Blue Steve used his hand to wipe them away, and he smiled gently. I tried smiling back, but it only lasted a few seconds.
"Blue Steve.?" I asked quietly, and he looked up at me, his eyes full of pain; something I never wanted him to feel. "Y-Yeah, Rainbow.?" He replied, his voice hoarse. I stood up, and offered him a hand. "Blue, can you stand? Walk, maybe?" I asked, and he looked unsure, but grabbed my hand. It took a moment or two, but he managed to get up. He stumbled at first, but I caught him again.
I put his arm over my shoulder, and I wrapped one of my arms around his torso as we started walking out the cave. I could see it pained him, but he knew just as much as me that we needed to at least get out of this cave.
We reached the surface, and I looked around, seeing the faint outline of the jungle we had passed through.
Blue Steve started coughing, and I quickly pulled him towards me so he was leaning on me. "No no no.." I muttered, as his coughing fit slowly came to an end.
He glanced at me, but slowly nodded, and we kept walking.
The desert.. Why does everything bad happen here? This is the place we lost Elder Blue, and if I don't find help, I'll lose Blue Steve as well.
I whimpered from the thought if it, yet again tears starting to fall. "R-Rainbow Steve?" He asked in concern, and I looked at him. He was worried for me; despite the fact he was practically dying. "I-I'm fine Blue, let's keep going-"
"I-I can't.."
We stopped, and I let go of him for a second. "Wait a second," I said carefully, running a bit in the direction we were going in; trying to spot anyone.
I saw nothing, and ran back to Blue Steve, who was on his knees again.
"Okay, no, Blue, get up. Blue please.." I begged, and he only looked at me weakly. "Rain, I think this is it.. I don't think I can walk anymore.." He responded, letting out a small cry of pain. I kept on denying it, and he gently placed his hand on my cheek.
"Rain, please.. I know you don't want to believe it, but please.. I can't make it- Woah- Rain what are you doing?"
Half way through him speaking, I had started crying, so I picked him up bridal style. I looked at him and answered his question. "Getting you help, it's not your time yet. Now hold on."
He was confused, but he held onto me. I made sure he wouldn't fall, and I started running.
I held Blue tightly, and kept running. He let out a weak laugh. "You are so stubborn, Rainbow Steve." He joked quietly, and I smiled slightly as I jumped over the river and started running through the jungle.
The jungle was harder to navigate through, but I was managing. 'There has to be someone here, surely..'
'Why? Why did I do that? If I had just listened to Blue, he wouldn't have gotten hurt.' I thought to myself. 'This is my fault..'
A few seconds of silence, before the injured Blue Steve spoke up. "Rain, I don't know of you meant to say that aloud, but it's not your fault.." He said quietly, and I just sighed, my breathing was shaken up from crying earlier. I forced myself to hold back tears, since they were starting to blur my vision.
I started yelling out for help, noticing Blue fighting to stay awake. I gripped him tighter, and he flinched slightly, but seemed a little more awake. He mostly just watched me as I ran and yelled out, he couldn't really do much else.
My lungs were screaming for me to stop, but I couldn't. If I did, Blue Steve might not make it. The thought made me tear up again, and I blinked them away. I glanced down at Blue again, and we locked eyes. "Blue, I- I'm so sorry.." I trailed off, and he gave me a weak smile. "Again, don't apologise, it's not your fault. No matter what happens to me, it isn't your fault, alright?" He told me, knowing he wouldn't get an answer from the question at the end.
I picked up my pace, despite my lungs feeling like they're about to collapse in on themselves. "Help! Please, anyone, help!" I yelled out loudly, and still got no response. I quickly thought of something, and changed the direction I'm running.
"Rain, what are you doing?" He asked softly, and I looked down at him. "It's a long shot, but the lab. Professor Red went the opposite way to us, maybe we can catch him up.." I replied quietly, unsure of this plan myself.
"But we destroyed the portal.." He mumbled quietly, and I nodded. "I think we may have just incased it in ice, not destroyed it. At least I hope not.."
After a few minutes of running, I spotted the portal.
Carefully climbing down into the crater, I leaned Blue Steve against the wall before walking over to the ice.
I tried breaking it, but it was harder than I thought.
"Try using a rock.?" Blue suggested, and I nodded at his idea.
I picked up a largish sized rock, and hesitated a little before hitting the ice again.
It broke.
I smiled, and kept on breaking the ice, before I saw a faint purple glow from beneath it.
"Blue Steve, the portal is still open!" I exclaimed, breaking the final bit of ice, revealing the swirly, purple portal.
He didn't respond.
I glanced over, and frantically ran to him. His eyes were shut, but his chest was still rising and falling. I sighed in relief, before dropping the rock and picking the Blue one up again.
Once he was securely in my arms, I walked to the portal and went through.
There was a flash before I appeared on the island before the dark oak forest.
'It worked! Yes!'
I thought to myself, before I ran to the river, somehow managing to get across with ease, before I began running to the ruins of the lab.
The trees weren't as stuck together now, and considering the damage the end crystal did, I wasn't really surprised.
I couldn't help but tear up slightly as I walked down the old path, to the destroyed lab.. '...'
I bit my lip as my breathing wavered, before I picked up my pace and walked past the ruins, and through the rest of the forest.
This part of the forest wasn't destroyed, and was too thick to run through, so I had to walk.
I kept checking on Blue Steve, making sure his state wasn't worsening. Luckily it wasn't.
Yet..
I was so focused on Blue Steve, I tripped over my own feet, just barely catching myself. I pulled Blue closer towards me in a protective manner, and I felt a little hope pool inside of me when I looked up. Plains biome; we're out of the forest.
I checked Blue Steve's pulse again, before I looked up and started running. 'Professor Red is probably really far by now..' I thought, before I shook my head. 'No Rainbow Steve, don't think like that! He'll be around here somewhere!'
I kept on running, and I saw another forest very far in the distance. 'Has he already gone through there.?'
'...'
'I should try calling for him!'
Still running, I started yelling out for him. "Professor Red! Professor Red, are you around here? Please tell me you're around here! I need help! Blue Steve needs help! Hello?!"
Tears started rolling down my cheeks again as I came to a stop. I couldn't lose both of them..
"Hello?" I heard a distant voice call out, and my heart skipped a beat. "Hello?" I called back, my voice clearly scared. "Hello? Rainbow Steve, is that you?" My brain quickly registered who it was, and I smiled for a second. "Professor Red? Yes, it's me! I need help!" I yell to him, looking down and seeing Blue Steve's wounds starting to bleed again. "Quickly!" I added on, my tears falling faster now.
I covered my mouth to stop myself from screaming, and I fell onto my knees, resting Blue against an oak tree as I put pressure on the would that was bleeding the most.
"Rain?" I heard Red call out, his voice sounding closer now. "Red! Plains biome, near a lake and a few trees!" I yelled beck, receiving an, "Alright, I'm coming!" in response.
I whimpered, still applying pressure to the wound. I heard someone running to where I was, but didn't look up.
"Oh my god.. Rain, what the hell happened?!" Professor Red exclaimed, dropping to his knees beside me. "N-Nightmare Steve- I- I tried- And Blue-" I cut myself off, feeling him put a hand on my shoulder. "Explain later, we need to get Blue Steve to safety." He tells me, and I nod, carefully picking up Blue Steve again.
"Let's go."
