Hi. I'm Spade the Diesura.
I'm in the Protectors' Army.
My life isn't that good though.
I'm blue and I'm bullied for that.
In class, they used to pass notes saying "Who needs a die-freak" or "He should just die"
This really demotivated me. It was hard, honestly, living in a low-ranked family and being the weirdo of the class.
But nobody really cared actually. Not by a long shot.
My parent's cared, but sometimes I felt like there were the only ones that actually acknowledged that I existed.
To everyone else; I wasn't worth a rotten berry.
That was when I noticed something tiny crying under me.
I blinked and picked it up with a look of idle curiosity on my face.
It seemed to be an adult cantapodi.
But it was too small to be?
Confusing. Spade thought as he noticed there were nasty scars on it and it was even skinnier than average.
"Are you ok?" he asked, but it only nodded and tried to walk away. It fell in the process though.
"Calm down! We need to get you to Mrs. Brequewk, and fast!
"I don't need too.." it mumbled as it stood and once again, stumbled.
"No! You need to calm down silly!"
"I don't need any care!" it protested once again, but struggled in his grip.
It was an adult but was the size of a newborn eulopii
"Why are you so small?" he demanded as the cantapodi didn't answer.
"I SAID WHY?!" he repeated again but the cantapodi only whimpered.
"Sorry.." he said quietly as he fiddled with his tail.
"It's fine. I'm used to it." the Cantapodi mumbled.
"We need to get you to the healers.." Spade said softly
"It's fine." the cantapodi said once again.
"What's your name, then?"
"Thorn"
"Spade"
And this just may be my lucky day..
