"This is my therapist?" Citrus scoffed, staring at the Ani. "Are you sure you said mental injuries?" he asked his brother, Watermelon. "Yes. Did I say something different, I'm not sure." he responded, in obvious sarcasm. "Hey, Ani, shouldn't you be making herbs or something?" He gave me a cold look. "Don't be rude, Citrus." Melon said, rolling his eyes. "You love to sting as much as the thing your named after, that's for sure." "I am not stinging! I'm being honest here, that's all!" I snapped, rolling my eyes. The Ani seemed much younger than me, and wore some sort of jotunhel skin covering his face down to his toes. His eyes glowed a fearless white, though, which made me shrink in size, my tail curling instinctively. "Go to the hospital, Ani." I growled "There are creatures who need healing." "I am no medical Ani. I am a telepathetic Ani." his accent was rich and grand, a clear indicator he wasn't from around these parts where creatures often learned to speak quiet, to evade predators. A Cantapodi often skipped around, but to some, this was dangerous. Based on your tier, you were respected. That was why Tier 1s were least respected, while Tier 5s could do pretty much whatever appealed to them.

"I am no ordinary Ani." he responded ominously. "Oh, give me a break. Go back to the healing ward." he scoffed. The Ani just shrugged "I have never been to the healing ward." he said honestly. "Now sit still." he commanded "What are you gonna do, use a healing ray on my brain?"

"No. I'm going to read your mind, imbecile. Now sit still." the Ani grumbled, as he conjured a white beam of light. It felt ticklish, yet pricked me like a scorpion. My head also felt a little ... odd? "Hm. Forced killing. Neglect." "CAN YOU STOP SAYING THINGS OUT LOUD?!" I whisper-yelled "Think of it as a thank you for that polite attitude of yours earlier."

"Mommy! My finger! It's bleeding!" I whined. "Lay down, you whiny creature. It'll be fine in a minute." "B-" "I'm busy with this Chrysos now, alright?"

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"Kill it already!"  a harsh yell came as I forced back tears. "But that's Flame, remember? The sochuri? My friend!"  I argued frantically "Does it look like I care! It's a sochuri! Kill it or leave!"

My heart quickened as memories came flooding. I quickly blocked them off though, although the presence slipped through easily. At least I didn't hear it anymore. The cold light reflected off my skin, making it glow slightly. I sighed. "Hm." he only muttered, turning away from me "At least now I know where you get your attitude."
