"Jinora what is going on?" I heard Korra's father ask, so I turned around and my eyes met with Korra's worried parents, how am I supposed to tell them? I sighed and I looked at them
"She's gotten worse" I looked on the ground, I know Kya said we should expect it but... I didn't thought it will be so fast, I heard Tonraq telling something to his wife, I looked at the door of the room Korra was in, come on Asami, she needs you...

*Korra's pov*
I jolted up from my bed, almost unable to breathe, something wet and hot was going down my cheeks and I felt my shirt sticking to my in sweat covered body
"Korra? Are you okay?" I felt someone's hand on my shoulder and as an instinct I quickly turned around and got into my fighting position, still catching my breath
"Hey, what's wrong?" that voice...
I soon realized it's Asami with my fists still up, she came closer to me and hugged me tightly
"It's okay, it's alright, we're okay, I'm here and I'm okay, everything is okay" she didn't let go but I was kinda shocked about what is happening, she pulled away after a while and wiped away what I suppose were tears from my cheeks "shh..... It's okay" she looked into my eyes, and I was losing myself in hers, It's now or never, I kissed her, and she kissed back almost immediately
"come on baby, it's okay, do you wanna talk about it?" she said after she pulled back, I lowered my head and just shook my head, baby? so we're dating, is this real? Was it all just a dream? Me getting poisoned, Asami taking care of me.... or is this just another of my dreams, I wanna be with her so badly, I just wish she would also wanna be with me, this all just seems wrong... I looked up at her and kissed her again, her lips were so soft and it made me feel safe again.
"I don't wanna talk about it, I just wanna be with you" I hugged her again and I felt tears running down my cheeks again, I'm crying, why am I crying? I buried my face into her chest and just kept crying, I felt her hand rubbing through my hair as she hugged me tighter with her other hand that was wrapped around my waist.
"come on, let's take a shower together," she said softly but I didn't let go of her, instead I buried my face deeper into her chest. She kept holding me and rubbing my hair, it felt so nice, but it didn't felt real....

*Asami's pov*
"You really believe we can still save her? I think-"
"Mako listen to me, no-one gives a shit about what you think" I spat as I kept my eyes on the road
"Come on Asami... Maybe he wanted to say something mature?" Bolin joined, my pure sweet Bolin, as much as I wish that was true, I'm sure it isn't.
Mako just shook his head, why is that guy always so..... arrogant? I don't know, I'm getting tired of him.
"We're here" I stopped the car and we ran to the pier
"We need to get to the Air Temple Island, now! It's urgent! I said
"I'm sorry ma'am there aren't any boats available now," the guy said and I got angry
"Are you serious?! this is important!!"
"I'm sorry, like I said there aren't any boats available"
"when will be one available?" Lin asked
"in like 20 minutes" he sighed
"We have to get there somehow!" I said
"Yeah but how? there's no way we can swim!" Bolin said
"I have a boat in my storage but it's too far away" I sighed
"I guess we're waiting then," Mako said and we all sat down on a close bench, please hold on Korra, you can't leave me, I looked at the cure in my hand and sighed again, then I put it into my pocket again.
"Excuse me! Mrs.Sato! can we ask you all a few questions?!" great, just great
"no, I don't have-"
"Is it true about the Avatar being poisoned?!" "who would even try to do something again?!" "Mrs. Beifong, Avatar Korra was poisoned in past by the leader of Red Lotus, is it possible his supporters wanted to finish his job?" "are you and the Avatar in a close relationship?" someone stop it, I looked at Lin and she nodded and stood up
"EVERYONE SILENCE! We don't answer any questions! Now go away!!" She shouted and some eventually walked away but few of them stayed and kept asking
"Ma'am your boat is ready," the pier guy said, I have no idea how to call him he never told us his name but I don't really care, my main focus was Korra, so I just nodded and we all stood up. The reporters ran after us but when we got on the boat and made our way to the Air Temple Island they weren't following us anymore I'm coming Korra...

*Korra's pov*
It was almost noon, me and Asami decided to go get lunch together, we were walking around the street holding hands, like it didn't even bother us what people think about us, but what made it all even weirder was that I had no memory of us getting together or anything before, I just somehow sometimes know random things I never actually did or knew, but for some reason, I do know them.
"Hey, what is it with you?" Asami asked as she stopped, I have no idea how I got here, this all seems wrong and I don't remember us dating if that's the answer you would like to hear...
What am I supposed to tell her?
"It's nothing" I lowered my head and kept walking, she ran up to me and walked in front of me, making me raise my head, and look at her.
"If you don't wanna talk about it, I understand, but I also can't just act like nothing is happening, I wanna help you" she pulled me into a hug, hugging her was like hugging a teddy bear, it was warm, comfy hug. I sighed and placed my forehead on her shoulder. After a while I pulled back, I wanted to kiss her but I kinda hesitated because we were in public, and I didn't know if we were out to the world yet, but since we were walking around hand in hand earlier, I think we are.
She didn't let me think about it for long and pulled me into a long sweet kiss, yup, we definitely are, in this different reality or what even is this. I smiled and grabbed her hand again as we continued to walk to the restaurant.

*Asami's pov*
We ran as fast as we could, and soon we reached Korra's room, but the look on everyone's faces made us all worried, no please.... please tell me we're not late, please, I can't live without her...
"No... W-What's wrong?" I got worried, everyone looked so depressed, please...
"She's alive but..." But what?!
"The infection....severe sepsis began to spread throughout her body, her lungs were failing, and the nerves and blood vessels in her left leg were damaged, causing her blood to clot which made them amputate her leg from the knee down because there was a risk that the infection would spread further into the body, more than it already was..." Tonraq finished the sentence.
"Asami please, tell me you got the cure, it's the only way how we can save my little girl" Senna let go of her husband and held onto me
"I do, where is Katara?!"
"Inside! Go!"
I knocked on the door and when I walked in I saw Korra connected to the intubation again as Kya and Katara were in the middle of another healing session
"Katara! I got the cure!" I handled her the ampule of the cure and she passed it to Kya that got it ready. What caught my attention was bandaged wrapped around Korra's leg.... or more like what was left of it, I'll build her a new foot, I won't let her walk around with crutches, she needs to be fully able to walk
"Asami, I need you to go outside"
"But- I-"
"Now Asami, we'll save her" I sighed and just nodded then I walked out.
Please be okay Korra, the world needs you, your friends need you.... I need you, please don't leave me, I would never forgive myself if you'd died and I wouldn't be able to tell you how I feel...
I sighed again and walked up to Lin, Bolin and Mako
"She's alive, barely but... Alive, we need to hop that we got here in time"

*Korra's pov*
We were in the restaurant, talking, and just basically gossiping about stuff, it felt like a dream but I really wasn't sure if it is or not, I'm scared to ask, what if it is real and I just don't remember it?
"Earth to Korra, are you there?" Asami waved her hand in front of my face
"Yeah sorry I was just thinking" I smiled and put my hand on her thigh "I love you, Asami" I looked at her and she smiled then she held my hand
"I love you too, Korra, you need to get better so we can be together" what? What is she talking about?!
"what? What are you-"
"Korra, you can't leave me, I need you"
"But I'm not going anywhere I'm right here" What is happening?!
"You need to live Korra, please, don't leave, you can't die" she was sad, she was crying, but I'm not dying or... Am I? Is this all really just a dream?
"Asami, this is all just a dream right?" I asked and she smiled, then she disappeared, and so did everything around me, not again
"Korra, please... I'm here, I'm not going anywhere" who's that? I couldn't talk again, I tried to but nothing came out, it was like I had a tube stuck in my neck again, and it was so hot here, why is it so hot? The darkness around me was creepy, but I saw a slight light in the distance, I came closer to it, and out of nowhere, I was in a boat, and I saw an island and all of the past avatars were standing there, looking at me, but they were all sad, and they looked like they wanted me to go away from them as I was coming closer and closer to them.
Then I turned around, and I saw Asami, my parents and my friends standing there on the other island, waving at me, like if they were welcoming me there.
"Your time hasn't come to an end yet, Avatar Korra, you can't give up now"
that voice... it sounded so familiar... but who was it?
I turned the boat in the other direction as it was drifting towards where my family was, I turned around and saw Aang standing there with the other past avatars, smiling. I smiled too and nodded, then I turned back to Asami and the others. I jumped off of the boat and walked up to Asami as she held her hand out
"You must be strong Korra, you have to stay with us, don't leave us, you wouldn't just leave your family" she said and she smiled, I grabbed her hand and smiled as everything was turning brightly white again
I won't leave you Asami, I could never leave the girl I love...

So another chapter, another drama, what do you guys think will happen next? Make sure to let me know in the comments! I honestly don't really know what to think about this chapter, I hope everything made sense tho.
One more thing, sepsis is also known as blood poisoning, it can cause the whole organism to shut down if it won't get treated in time and the person can die, but you can still stop it, it happens when the infection/poison gets into the blood and infects it, it can attack nerves and blood vessels which will cause them to bleed and if it's inside the part of the body, there's a risk of formation of a large blood clot that can stop the blood flow and that will cause the part of the body to basically die, and if it won't get treated in time, it will spread across the body and soon most of the organs will stop working as well. Again this is what my mother told me, as I mentioned before she works at the doctor's so it doesn't have to be 100% true but most of the stuff is true (Google :D)
