Brooklyn was still down in the unpleasant tunnels with Stiles and Theo only now, they knew where they were headed. The Hale and the Stilinski followed after the chimera as they raced to get to Lydia in time. All of their feet thudded on the concrete ground together and the sound echoed through the hollow space.

They ignored any aches or pains they had as they pushed their bodies more to go further, faster. For Brooklyn, it was exactly like her fast day back in Beacon Hills where she was sprinting as fast as she possibly could. Only this time, she wasn't trying to save her own life, she was trying to save her friend's.

Theo led them down many different tunnels twisting and turning until they came across two large metal doors. Knowing that Lydia was inside, the blue eyed boy began to throw his weight against the cold metal while the whisky eyed boy shouted the strawberry blonde's name.

"What the hell are you doing? Get the door open." Stiles demanded.

"I'm trying." Theo shot back.

Brooklyn helped the boy, throwing her own body against the door in a desperate attempt to get to Lydia. She was sure it was going to leave a bruise but she didn't care. However, they had to stop and cover their ears as an almighty scream came from the banshee inside that reverberated through the walls.

Once she quietened down, Theo tried the handle which broke off in his hand. Stiles quickly pushed past the boy, shoving open the now unlocked doors to Lydia. The room she was being kept in must've been another one of the Dread Doctors' dens with the way it was decorated and all the equipment that lay inside. Valack's body was slumped on the floor with half of his head missing. The healer guessed the banshee's scream did that.

Brooke stood back and watched as Stiles rushed right up to the Martin girl's side and unattached the wires from her temples. She allowed the two to have their moment after all, she'd be lying if she said she didn't want the two together. Especially after having seen how worked up Stiles was the whole time.

"You came back." Lydia whispered in awe to the boy beside her.

Stiles nodded, "We're getting you out of here, okay?"

"You can't. It's too dangerous." Lydia mumbled.

"Lydia," Stiles replied, "please shut up and let me save your life." The strawberry blonde smiled, giving him a small nod.

Stiles lifted the girl from the operating chair and wrapped one of her arms over his shoulders. Brooke came over then too, pulling Lydia's other arm across her back to help her get out of there. The only problem was, when Brooklyn touched her, her eyes glowed and Lydia let out another ear piercing scream. The Hale girl stumbled away from her, hands clutching her bloodied ears.

Lydia gave her friend a sorry look which had Brooke telling her, "It's alright." The black haired girl then turned to the boy, "Stiles, you're gonna have to help her by yourself."

The Stilinski nodded and tightened his grip on the girl he was trying to save. The two of them wobbled a little but where able to make their way out and into the tunnels to escape with Brooklyn walking beside them. They left Theo behind, no longer needing or wanting his presence.

They'd gotten pretty far before Lydia was unable to keep her body upright. Her swaying side to side was causing Stiles to do the same thing making it very hard to walk. "Okay. You gotta try and stay on your feet." Stiles commanded gently. "The plan didn't work out too well. So I'm gonna need your help, okay?"

"You had a plan?" Lydia asked in between groans. It was obvious that the hole in her head was causing her immense pain and the overload of her abilities that came with it.

"Yeah he came up with it all by himself." Brooklyn praised the boy to Lydia, "It was good... on paper."

"Yeah, not so much in reality." Stiles mumbled.

Brooklyn pushed open a large door and held it open for the other two as they continued. Lydia suddenly broke form Stiles' hold, though, dropping to the floor to clutch her head. "I can't hold it. I can't do it." the banshee wheezed.

"Lydia..." Stiles called scrambling to get to her.

"Stiles, Brooke, run!" the strawberry blonde demanded.

A hand clamped down on Brooke's and Stiles' shoulders and pulled them backwards. They were pushed into the adjoining corridor where the two were caught by some familiar arms. Tightening his hold on her, Scott turned himself and Brooklyn around so that his body was protecting hers from what was happening.

Lydia's deadly scream became muffled as Parrish who had thrown Brooklyn and Stiles back encased her power in his. Instead of an horrendous scream that would've killed them all, a small explosion happened that rocked the ground and sent a cloud of smoke and shrapnel into the air.

Scott looked down at Brooklyn. She had her back to his chest while his arms circled around her waist protectively. He checked that she was okay as they all coughed once the explosion had settled down. Brooke gazed up at him with grateful eyes and squeezed one of his arms as a silent thank you. He could see she didn't have any wounds which made him slightly relived but that she did have blood smeared across her jaw and ear from her time with Lydia.

The two of them moved their eyes away from each other when, through the smoke, Parrish walked out with Lydia in his arms. They were surprised he hadn't died from being that close to her when she screamed. But, the girl in his arms was still whimpering with pain etched clearly across her face.

"Where to?" Parrish asked, looking at Scott.

Taking Brooklyn's hand in his, the True Alpha nodded to his right. "This way."

They all began to hurry in that direction, knowing that they needed to get Lydia seen to as quickly as possible. Liam eventually took the lead telling them, "There's a gate up ahead."

"What about Mason?" Scott questioned.

"He's on it. Trust me." the beta stated.

The newest werewolf then took off running. "Liam, slow down." Scott ordered. Parrish couldn't go that fast while carrying Lydia and if they lost the boy they'd lose their way out.

"Liam, wait!" Stiles shouted.

They rounded the corner Liam had run off down to see the beta placing his hands onto a gate. There was a slight crackle as he did so but nothing too bad. He used his supernatural strength to slide open the two sides of the gate which blocked their exit. Liam looked back at them for a second panting out an, "I told you." before dashing out.

The rest of them shared a look but followed after him. They reached a ladder which Liam began to climb up. When he reached the top he pushed his hands against the drain cover above him and threw it to the side. He got out and one after the other they all followed suit, helping Parrish with Lydia along the way.

Just as Scott was placing the drain cover back on, a car pulled up. Stiles' jeep. Malia and Kira got out from the baby blue vehicle and glanced at Lydia who was now on her feet but still yelping in pain. "Is she okay?" Malia questioned.

"No," Scott answered, "we need to go. Give me the keys. We gotta get her to the clinic." The werecoyote handed the keys over and they turned to get in when a slashing noise sounded. Parrish groaned, stumbling forward into the jeep with claw marks along his back.

The others whipped around to see Tracy who now had ahold of Lydia. "Sorry, but she's coming with me." the chimera girl announced.

"Okay. Tracy, just wait. You don't know what's about to happen." Scott tried to stop the girl.

"I'm taking her. That's what's happening. And none of you are going to do a thing..." Tracy responded, yet was cut short by the sound of electricity.

Stiles moved forwards to catch Lydia while the rest of them gazed at Natalie Martin holding a taser in shock. "Could somebody please get my daughter out of this hellhole?" she remarked.

Brooklyn got into the jeep with Scott, Stiles and Lydia as they drove to the animal clinic. The Stilinski still had a firm grip on the strawberry blonde as the two of them sat in the back seats together. Scott fumbled around with the gear stick and pedal of the jeep, trying to see if he could drive any faster. "Scott." the whiskey eyed boy called from the back.

"Yeah. I'm trying, I'm trying." the True Alpha replied.

Stiles was mumbling words to Lydia when she let out another resounding scream. Brooke covered her ears as she saw the glass of the wing mirror crack. Over the sound of ringing, she could hear Stiles taking to the girl in his arms again. "Lydia, Lydia, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey. Look. You're gonna get through this, okay? Lydia, look at me, you're gonna make it."

"But you're not." Lydia muttered.

Brooklyn and Scott glanced back before sharing a wide eyed look. The boy in the drivers seat felt his heart drop. He immediately pushed down the gear stick and pressed down harder on the accelerator, flooring the vehicle to go as fast as it possibly could.

✄ ✄ ✄ ✄ ✄

The four of them were now rushing into the animal clinic. The boys had Lydia's arms draped over their shoulders as they helped the injured girl to walk. Deaton rushed in ahead of them, grabbing different things out of cabinets as he commanded, "Get her on the table."

The two boys set Lydia on her feet before Stiles placed an arm under her knees and one on her back to lift her up on the metal table. The girl groaned throughout. "Whoa, whoa, whoa. Hold her." Deaton told them as glanced back for a second to see her writhing on the table.

The two best friends held her down while Brooke could only watch. Scott and Deaton had guessed by now that she couldn't touch her. They knew that if she could help Lydia she would've done it a long time ago and with the amount of blood on her face, it didn't take a genius to guess what had happened.

The banshee let out another tremendous scream. The different tables and items adorning them rattled because of it. "Doc, I think you gotta do something." Stiles commented.

"I will." Deaton assured him. "But right now, I need you to keep her still." He turned back around with a large syringe in his hand. He lightly placed a hand on the strawberry blonde's neck to keep her from moving as he positioned the equipment.

"What the hell is that?" the Stilinski asked.

"Mistletoe." the veterinarian informed him.

"Mistletoe? She's got a fricking hole in her head." Stiles exclaimed.

Lydia whimpered again, her back arching up as she tried to wriggle out of the boys' hold. "Stiles, help." Scott instructed.

"Steady." Deaton said before pushing the plunger of the syringe down. The mistletoe filled into the hole in Lydia's head. Breaking free of the hold on her, the banshee flew into a sitting position and let out the biggest scream yet.

The windows lining the top of the building broke, glass flying down on them. Stiles went to shield Lydia and Scott did the same with Brooke, the latter two falling onto the floor. Everyone who could, clutched their hands to their ears as the ground beneath them shook.

They all stood back up as it stopped. They looked around the wrecked area before their eyes settled on Lydia. Stiles brushed the small specks of glass off the pale girl's face as she lay unconscious. "Lydia." the whiskey eyed boy mumbled. "Lydia?"

They others moved closer to the table as well. Worry filled Brooke's gut as she stated at Lydia's ghost like face. She was pale, too pale. "Lydia, come on." Stiles gently shook the girl. When he got no response he placed his hands on the strawberry blonde's face saying, "No, no, no, no, no. Come on, Lydia. Wake up."

Brooklyn grabbed ahold of Scott's hand for comfort as she watched the scene in front of her. She knew what it was like to lose someone you love and that expression was written clearly all over Stiles' face. "Come on." the Stilinski boy continued. "Wake up. Can you hear me? Lydia. Lydia, open your eyes. Come on, come on. Come on. Listen to me, Lydia."

The Hale girl felt Scott squeeze her hand as his best friend didn't stop. "Hey, show me your eyes, okay? Lydia, you have to open your eyes." Stiles' bottom lip began to tremble as he still got no recognition from the girl. The two chocolate eyes watching him began to tear up but he wouldn't let his. Lydia had to be okay. She had to. He couldn't lose her.

Her heart dropping to her stomach, Brooklyn hung her head. They'd lost Lydia. They'd actually lost her. After all of that. After all they did.

A feminine gasp made Brooke snap her head back up. Not believing what she was seeing, she rubbed her eyes with the hand that wasn't interlocked with Scott's. But the scene didn't change. The colour had rushed back into Lydia's face as she stirred awake and Brooklyn felt a relieved smile overtake her face. She was actually alright. Lydia was alright.

"You okay?" Stiles asked the girl. Lydia nodded. "You're okay." Stiles breathed out happily. A smile graced his face as he glanced up at his friends once quickly before looking back at the girl he'd nearly lost. The girl he'd saved. "Want to try and sit up?"

Lydia nodded again and Stiles and Scott helped her into a sitting position. The little pieces of glass on her body clinking together as they'd did so. Scott brought Brooklyn into a hug and the two of them watched as Natalie Martin came in.

"Mom?" Lydia said, surprised.

"Oh honey." Natalie sighed. She walked over to her daughter, wrapping her up in her arms.

"He saved my life, mom." Lydia told her mother with a large smile overtaking her face. "Stiles saved me."

Stiles glanced at his friends with his lips tugging up slightly yet they all knew just how happy he was on the inside. They gave him proud looks. Stiles then pointed to the destroyed windows and quipped, "I'm not paying for the windows."
