I kiss his face. I never told him I'd kiss him on the lips. Sucker. Although I really did want to kiss his stupid self on the lips. "That's not fair!" I place a finger on my lips and point to Luna, telling him to quiet down.
"All is fair in love and war. I told you Adrian. Prove your love for me. Fly me to a different country. Make me feel something I've never felt before and see something I've never seen before."
"I thought you were joking."
"If you're going to break up with me like that, then you're going to have to do something even bigger to get back together with me," I tell him simply. "I have faith in you though. I know you'll prove yourself sooner or later."
"Get out of there, I want to see the baby too!" Anna hisses from outside the door. I thought it was four people at a time? Oh well. I take one last look at the baby, who was placed in an incubator.
I do a cute little wave at the baby before exiting the room, allowing Anna and Blake to walk in. Her face was still bloody, but I think she's washed it off so it's only a little blood. I sit down on a chair while Adrian takes a seat next to me. "I have the perfect country we can visit," He informs me.
"Where's that?"
"It's a surprise."
"Oh wow, okay Adrian. I see how it is," I grumble saltily. "You know, it's Christmas tomorrow. I don't want to spend it together with you, because Dylan and Luna won't be able to spend it together and we'll be kind of rubbing it in their face, but I'll buy you a small gift."
I already knew what I had in mind. Muahaha! Oh, he was going to pay dearly for this. Adrian Black, the feared mafia boss, would look completely and utterly ridiculous tomorrow.

"I'm not wearing that," He protests looking at the Grinch costume with disgust.
"It's a gift your loving ex-girlfriend bought for you," I pout. "If you want me back, you're wearing this and driving to the hospital with me."
"I'm nothing like the Grinch," He grumbles before snatching the costume out of my hand and disappearing into the bedroom, slamming the door shut behind him. I snicker evilly to myself. Who said fixing my broken heart was easy?
Especially after what happened with... Oh hell no. I won't go back there.
You're my murderer.
The loud gunshot rings through my head and my heart begins to race. I was fine just a minute ago, why am I remembering everything now?!
I feel my palms begin to get sweaty, before I crouch down on the ground, leaning against the wall, trying to tell myself everything will be okay. The world begins to close in on me and that causes my head to spin like it's been thrown into a washing machine.
I think Adrian walks out in the Grinch costume, and I honestly would have laughed in this situation if it weren't for my panic attack. I see him take off the mask of his costume and crouch down next to me. "Hey, Bailey, look, it's going to be okay."
"Pills," I breathe out clutching my arms in an attempt to stop them from shaking. "Bag." He immediately fishes into my bag and brings out my container of pills that usually work as antidepressants.
He gets the water bottle from my bag too, and then places the pill in my mouth before pouring water into it, helping me swallow it. After a couple of seconds, I begin to feel a lot better and my breathing returns to normalcy.
I look up at Adrian, and smile weakly, feeling a little drained out. Panic attacks usually do that. "You look cute in that," I tell him. "You've made me see something I've never seen before. Check that one off the list. I can't believe you would wear that for me."
"I'd do anything for you."
"Even break my heart?" I question, feeling just a little angry. "Keep me in the dark? Be a complete idiot?"
"I know you're not going to forgive me for that," He mumbles, looking dejected.
"I will forgive you, Adrian. Eventually. You've just really fucked up my trust. When you told me that you didn't love me, it felt like a punch to the gut. I thought that I wasn't good enough for anyone's love. Hell, even my own parents didn't love me and you just reinforced that. I just want to know if you love me. I know I'm asking for a lot, but I want to know if you're willing to go through all that for me."
"Nothing you ask of me is too much. If I didn't love you, why do you think I'd be wearing this really stupid Grinch costume."
"We're going to the hospital. It'll cheer Luna and Dylan up."
"The last thing they need is the Grinch ruining their Christmas," He jokes.
"Didn't know you had a sense of humor," I tease, poking his belly. The costume makes him look like he has belly fat and it also made him look extremely huggable. But he won't be getting any Bailey hugs from me today. Nuh-uh.
He didn't deserve them.
"Do I really have to drive in this?" He grumbles like a child.
"Yes, Adrian. You do."
He sighs before walking towards the entrance to his garage. He grabs a car key, but I shake my head. "I want you to drive your green car."
His face falls slightly as he unlocks his green car. Once we're both situated inside, I turn up some Ariana Grande Christmas songs. Adrian puts his mask aside, before peeling out of the garage. Some of the men guarding his house give him weird looks which he makes an effort to ignore.
"You better marry me for this," He complains, accelerating his car so we can get to the hospital faster. Once we get there, Adrian slowly climbs out of his car, almost instantly earning looks from everyone around.
I stifle some laughter. "Mask," I tell him which he begrudgingly puts on. Then we walk inside. Everyone was looking at Adrian. Some were smiling, some were laughing and someone looked genuinely scared.
Sorry not sorry.
We walk up to Luna's room, still getting weird looks. I can't hide my smile, this is too good. When we saunter inside, I hear some wheezing. I look to see Dylan gaping at Adrian, wide eyed.
"Is that... is that Adrian?" He asks in a hushed tone.
"I brought him like this to cheer Luna and you up," I grin, returning his hushed tone. I notice bags under Dylan's eyes, which I've never seen before. Wow, there's a lot of firsts going on. "Guess you missed your beauty sleep?"
"I got permission to stay here overnight until both of them can leave. Didn't sleep all night because Luna couldn't either. The baby had a few tremors and other withdrawal symptoms take effect," Dylan explains as we approach him. Adrian removes his mask and I give him a disappointed look but let it slide.
"Wow, Dylan. I'd never thought you'd sacrifice sleep for someone. I'm proud of you." I turn my head towards Luna, who's sleeping. You could see a few wrinkles between her eyebrows as she frowns in her sleep.
I hate that this had to happen to her. That she had to go through the fear of dying and losing her son. She deserves to be happy, just like before.
"She's been sleeping since morning," Dylan informs us. "She frowns a lot." Hurt pounds against Dylan's eyes as he watches Luna sleep. "Who knew? A girl I found at the mall would become the love of my life?" He smiles dryly.
"I'm glad you met her."
"What are you going to name him?" Adrian asks, still in the Grinch costume.
"I was thinking something more simple, like Noah, or Liam but Luna wanted something more complicated like Theodore, or Atticus."
"Theodore Atticus Noah Arrow," I shrug. "Long name, but when he's older, he can go by any of those names."
I think I might have been too loud, because Luna stirs in her sleep, slowly lifting her eyes open. Her eyes open widely once she sees Adrian, who hides behind me. "What... Dylan... what's that?"
"The Grinch," He states.
"Is it going to take away our Christmas?" She asks innocently. "If if wants my baby, then tell it to leave. No one's getting my baby," She frowns again.
"Luna it's just Adrian," I assure her.
"Bailey," She smiles weakly. "I missed you."
"I missed you too."
