Description: Y/N has had a secret crush on Sam for a while, but he isn’t sure how to tell him about it.
Sam Winchester. How could you describe Sam Winchester? He’s funny, caring and always knows the right thing to say in a situation. But these things weren’t what made you fall in love with him. No, it was how loyal he was to his brother and how he would sacrifice himself for anybody that he cared about. From the first moment that you met Sam on a case in Texas, you knew that there was something about him. He drew you in like a moth to a flame. Every time you were around him, butterflies erupted in your stomach. A wide smile would spread across your face whenever he said something whimsical or made fun of his brother.
However, there was one problem. You didn’t know if Sam felt the same way about you. You always seen him chatting up girls in bars, never men. You always sat back in the bar and watched Sam flirt with random girls, which made your heart shatter into a million pieces. You could feel small parts of your soul falling away as you watched the love of your life walk away somebody that wasn’t you.
You couldn’t take it any more. Getting up from the library table that you and the Winchesters were currently sitting at, you walked quickly towards your room and grabbed a duffel from under the bed, packing your belongings into them. Heavy footsteps sounded and stopped in front of your doorway.
“Y/N, man. Where are you going?” You stopped at the sound of Sam’s voice. A small tear escaped your eye and fell down the side of your cheek. You shook your head and continued packing, completely ignoring Sam’s question.
Sam stepped inside your room and walked towards you, placing a hand on your shoulder. You halted in place as you felt the warmth of Sam’s touch seep through your clothing. “C’mon, you can talk to me. I’m your best friend. Anything you need, I’m here.” You took a deep breath and turned around, not looking Sam in the eye.
You took a deep breath and convinced yourself to look into his eyes. As you did, you could feel your whole body melt under his stare. Before you said anything, you walked around Sam and took a seat on the edge of your bed, Sam following your actions. You closed your eyes and took deep breaths in an attempt to calm your nerves.
When you opened them, Sam was staring at you with sincerity and concern in his eyes. “It’s taking a lot of bravery and courage for me to tell you this. I don’t know if this is going to change anything or make you see me in a different way. I just want to let you know, that you don’t have to feel the same way. I just need to tell you.”
Sam shifted a little on the bed before nodding. “Ok. Anything you tell me, I will understand.” You closed your eyes once again and let your mind take over. “Ever since we first met, I've had feelings for you. Over the past few years, these feelings have grown and grown into something uncontrollable that I couldn’t keep to myself any longer. I wanted to leave so that I didn’t have to hurt in silence anymore. I couldn’t stand seeing you leave bars with girls whilst I was sitting and watching you. It breaks my heart every time I see you with somebody different. I love you, Sam Winchester. I always have.”
You opened your eyes but didn’t look at Sam. You really didn’t want to see what his reaction was. Heavy breathing was all that sounded in the small and quiet room as Sam went over the new found information in his head. Sam placed a warm hand on your leg which caused you to look at him in surprise. You looked down at his hand and then to his face, which to your surprise was smiling.
You furrowed your eyebrows in confusion as Sam continued to smile. “I-I don’t understand, why are you smiling?” Sam let out a little chuckle before gently taking your hand in his. “Y/N, I’ve felt the same way about you for just as long. I just haven’t had any experience in being with a man. I tried to cloud my feelings for you with girls. Leaving the bars with the girls was just a cover up for my feelings for you. I love you to, Y/N.”
All of your previous anxiety left your body at Sam’s confession. A wide smile crossed your features as you reached over and pressed a kiss to his lips. Warmth and passion spread through your body as both of your lips moulded together. Your hand found its way into his hair, threading through his long, chestnut locks.
You both broke apart from the kiss and looked at each other with beaming smiles. You both knew that finally, you both could be happy, with each other.
