Requested by Khushi2334. Here goes a Virat-Rishabh OS. Sorry for being so awfully late....

I have taken a little idea and a few dialogues from AshuICT's book, but I've already asked her, so no one imposes copyright violations on me!!!!!

----------------------------------------------------

I know my Rishu will make us proud.

Rishabh could hear Virat Bhaiya's words ringing in his ears very clearly and all he wanted to do at that moment was to jump on his Virat Bhaiya, hug the life out of him and scream, "I DID IT, BHAIYA".

But had to decide against it as Virat Bhaiya was not present there, He was sure Virat Bhaiya was watching the match, along with their darling angel by his side. And he was sure he will call his Virat Bhaiya once he will be free.

After the crazy celebrations for hours were over, and everyone retired to there rooms for some good night's sleep, as they were exhausted due to all the madness, Rishabh was laying down on his bed and scrolling through all the congratulatory messages from all over the world.

He replied some, liked some of them and then came across some posts. Some posts which where mocking his Virat Bhaiya.

"Virat Kohli should concentrate on being the best batsman ever, his captaincy is over"

"Remove Kohli from captaincy. Kohli concentrating more on family matters rather than on team India."

"Kohli should not be captain any form. Virat Kohli should remain as Sachin, concentrate on being the run scorer now"

And Rishabh's blood started to boil reading those. But he couldn't help but laugh at those comments too. Just look at Virat Bhaiya's aura, he thought, with a smirk. Even the haters want him to perform well, they also want him to be the best batsman ever. They are even going as far as wanting him to be like Sachin Sir. Hah, bloody hypocrites, thought Rishabh scrunching his nose in disgust.

What do these people know about cricket that they are commenting on Virat Bhaiya and his leadership. He was the one who brought the team to number 1 position. He was the one who groomed the players who are winning the matches now. The dangerous fast bowling department has been strengthened under Virat Bhaiya.

Virat Bhaiya was the one who backed him when he couldn't perform, lashed out at all the critics and kept him happy and positive.

He stills remembers the time when everyone was criticising him for being under-fire ever since he had taken the position of wicket-keeper in place of Mahi bhai. Everyone was pointing him out and in one press conference Virat bhaiya shut up the mouths of those people for some time, calling him a match winner.

Rishabh also recalled how Virat Bhaiya had boosted him up after he had a bad IPL season. Well Shreyas also had a large part to play in this because it was Shreyas who informed Virat Bhaiya about him being all down and sad.

Flashback.

Rishabh was sitting in his hotel room in Dubai, thinking about his recent performances. Even the win in the semi final didn't manage to lift his mood.

2, 3, 8, 24.

These were his last four scores.

He was in very deep thoughts when some door breaking knocks and weird shrieks from his captain made him jump out of his skin. He stood up and opened the door for Shreyas.

Shreyas took one look at Rishu's crestfallen face and immediately knew that something was wrong.

"What's wrong Rish?", asked a concerned Shreyas. Isn't he supposed to be happy that they won the semi final, thought Shreyas sceptically.

"Nothing!! The only thing wrong is you. Can't you knock a little more decently. Daraa diya mujhe", snapped Rishabh, trying to hide his thoughts from his very able brother.

"And you want me to believe that?", said Shreyas, raising an eyebrow and crossing his arms across his chest.

"Yes", said Rishabh moodily, that confirmed to Shreyas that Rishabh is in a really bad mood.

But of course he wont tell me, thought Shreyas, thinking hard about what to do.

Suddenly, he got an idea, more specifically a person in his mind, who might be able to churn out all that Rish had in his head.

"Okay then, I'll come later", said Shreyas and walked out of the room closing the door. As soon as he was out of the earshot of the room, he dialled Virat Bhai's number.

Virat Bhai picked up the call in two rings.

"Hello, Shreya, Wassup?", Virat Bhai asked cheerfully as always.

"Virat Bhaiya woh..", and with that Shreyas told him all about Rishabh's odd behaviour and crappy mood even after a quarter final win.

"..So, can you do something?", asked Shreyas expectantly from their big brother.

"Of course I can. Don't worry about Rishu. I'll call him and talk him through. He'll be fine, Shrey", said Virat consolingly, and feeling equally worried about what got into Rishu's mind now.

"Okay Virat Bhai, You are the best", said Shreyas smilingly straight from his heart. Virat laughed and cut the call.

Rishabh was still pondering over his failed performances when his phone started ringing. He picked the ringing device and saw VIRAT BHAIYA flashing on the screen. He badly wanted his Virat Bhaiya with him just then so he didn't waste time and answered the call.

"Hey Rishu!! How are you?", said Virat extra cheerfully.

"I'm fine Bhaiya. How are you?", said Rishu in a subdued voice and Virat became more alert.

"I'm fine too, kid. You want to video call?", asked Virat tenderly.

"Yes, Bhaiya", said Rishu immediately. He could snuggle into his Bhaiya but he could certainly see him.

Virat switched to video call and scanned his kid's face. His sad eyes told Virat a lot of the story. So he asked, in the most gentle and tender voice, "What's wrong Rishu?"

And that was it for Rishabh. Virat's loving voice did the trick once again and Rishabh broke down, muttering, "I'm a failure" and "I can't do it" again and again.

Virat kept on muttering sweet nothings to his Rishu, as he helplessly tried to calm him down. Every fibre of his body was aching to go to his cute little kid and hug him close.

"I'm a failure Virat Bhaiya", cried out Rishabh, not looking at Virat.

"And can I know who told you that?", asked Virat.

"Everyone! Everyone out there, Bhaiya. They said that I failed, I failed", breaking down again.

Virat sighed. The trolls.

"Look at me Rishu", he said, and Rishu promptly looked up not being able to disobey his elder brother.

"Listen to me carefully, Rish. You are not a failure. IPL doesn't define you, kiddo, it does not define anyone of us. You are a champion in the national blues. You have done so many miracles for the national side. You are a hero to so many people. Some failed innings doesn't make you a failure. Everyone has bad days, I had, Rohit had, Shikhi had, even Mahi bhai had, but they don't last for long. Have belief in yourself, kid."

"I guarantee you that those people who are hurting you like this, will be singing your praises soon. Mark my words. Just have a little patience, ignore those people and keep working hard. You will be back in no time. I believe in you, Rohit believes in you, the whole team believes in you. You have to believe in yourself too."

"I will, Bhaiya", said Rishabh in a little confident-than-before voice.

Virat smiled and said, "Good. Now chin up and come on smile, kiddo", coaxing his kid to smile.

Rishabh obliged and smiled at his Virat Bhaiya. If his Bhaiya says that he is not a failure then he is not a failure, concluded Rishabh.

"That's more like it!! Now go and grab some dinner. And talk to Shreyas. He is very worried", said Virat in his elder brother tone.

"Okay Virat Bhaiya. Thank you so much for always being there for me", said Rishabh looking at Virat with the most sincere voice possible.

"I'll always be there for all of you", said Virat with a smile.

"Love you Bhaiya. And I miss you soooooo much", Rishabh said childishly.

Virat laughed and said, "Just a few days more kiddo, after that we all will together"

"Yes, and you have to spend time with me, alone", demanded Rishabh emphasizing on the 'alone' part.

"Done. Now go and eat. And get a good night's sleep. Love you bacha", said Virat lovingly before they bid each other good bye.

Flashback over.

Virat bhaiya is always there for me, thought Rishabh, coming out of the flashback.

Rishabh also knew for a fact, that Virat Bhaiya had fought to include him in the Test squad for the Aus tour. He knew this, though Virat Bhai hadn't told him directly, but he had overheard this when Virat Bhaiya was in a conversation with Jinks Bhaiya.

Flashback(again)

Rishabh was returning from Prithvi's room after having a PlayStation bout with him. On the way, he passed by Jinks Bhaiya's room. He was not going to go there but a mention of his name made him halt and listen. He knew it was wrong to eavesdrop his big brothers' conversations but curiosity got the better of him. He leaned in to listen.

"They included Rishu in the Test squad on my very sheer insistence, Jinks. Those bloody bastards were even ready to overlook his awesome form against Australia", he heard Virat Bhaiya tell Jinks Bhaiya.

"Ya, I know what your 'insistence' means", Jinks replied drily, "You might have just threatened them or something?"

"Call it insisting, threatening or imposing, but still, they didn't budge from their decision to exclude him from the limited overs", Virat Bhaiya lamented and Rishabh straightened up. His Virat Bhai had to fight with the selectors again.

How many times has Virat bhaiya fought for them, for everyone. To make them play, to save them from getting dropped.

And how mad was Virat Bhaiya really, thought Rishabh. He fought for him, included him in the test squad and was still talking about not being able to bring him in the limited overs series.

"May be if you had been a little more patient and polite, then maybe you might have managed to get that too", said Jinks Bhaiya, shaking his head exasperatedly at Virat bhaiya.

"Polite? With those idiots? Are you serious, Jinks? They are the 'laaton ke bhoot baaton se nahi maante' types. Of course, I had to bang a few desks before they agreed", said Virat Bhaiya, very convincingly.

"Of course, only banging desks", said Jinks, sounding suspiciously sarcastic to Rishabh.

As Virat Bhaiya was looking all ready to protest, Jinks Bhaiya said immediately, "You managed to get him what he deserves, Vi. At least, be happy about that, instead of sulking"

"Of course I'm happy, Jinksy. I know I have done the correct thing. I know my Rishu will make us proud. He will prove all of those nonsense people wrong", Virat Bhaiya said with utmost sincerity and determination.

"He will", said Jinks Bhaiya, smiling at Virat Bhaiya.

Rishabh didn't, or rather couldn't stand there anymore. He strolled to his room thinking over and over about Virat Bhaiya's words.

I know my Rishu will make us proud.

Virat Bhaiya trust him so much!!! But why? He couldn't help but ponder.

But Rishabh knew he would never let down Virat Bhaiya and his trust in him.

Flashback over.

"I hope I made you proud Virat Bhaiya", Rishabh whispered in air. He had shown the world that his Virat Bhaiya's trust in him is not vague.

Just then, Rishabh's phone pinged. It was a message from Virat Bhaiya.

I'm so proud of you baccha.

Rishabh couldn't help but smile widely. Instead of texting him back, he dialled his number for a video call and waited for it to get connected.

"BHAIYA, I DID IT", Rishabh screamed all that he wanted to, as soon as the lines connected.

Virat laughed listening to the over excited kid of his and said, "Yes you did. You showed them what Rishabh Pant can do", as always praising his kids.

"Thank you for believing in me, bhaiya", said Rishabh looking at Virat with innocent eyes, words dripping with sincerity.

"I always knew you could do it kiddo. You always had the potential, and you just unleashed that today. I knew that MY Rishu would prove me right", said Virat smiling, putting extra emphasis on 'my'.

My Rishu, thought Rishabh, his face lighting up, sounds so good.

The two went on talk about the happenings of the day, mostly Rishabh updating about the antics of almost everyone in Australia. And Virat being Virat, indulged him. Anushka also peeked in congratulating Rishu and also showed Viratee to Rishabh, and Rishabh declared, "I'm her official babysitter"

Both Virat and Anushka laughed Rishabh's childish words and Anushka said, "Of course, no doubt about it."

As Rishabh continued to talk to Anushka and little Viratee through the video call, Virat sat back and thought about how much has this boy achieved in such a tender age. Just 23 years of age and scoring runs against a side like Australia.

His Rishu is unstoppable.
