Description: Y/N is going through the process of becoming transgender, having reassignment surgery. They are having doubts about doing it and are worried about what Sam will think afterwards.
All your life, you never felt comfortable in your body. You always felt lonely and isolated from others and was bullied for feeling different. You always felt like you didn’t belong and you could never figure out why. That was until you sought some advice from a close friend and finally figured out why you were feeling like this: you were unhappy with your current gender.
After having this talk, everything you were unsure about in your life clicked into place. You needed to change your gender to be able to finally feel comfortable with yourself.
Two years had passed since you started on the pathway to become transgender. You were feeling happier and happier within yourself each day and the date of the reassignment surgery was only a few days away.
You felt a lump form in your throat and a wave of anxiety pass through you as you thought about the surgery. Where you doing the right thing? What if you feel differently after it? How will Sam feel after the surgery? Will he still love you?
These questions flew around and around in your head until you let out a loud scream and fell back against the bed, tears streaming down your cheeks. Footsteps came pounding down the hallway and stopped at the doorway. “Y/N, babe, what’s wrong?”
Sam stepped closer into the room and sat down on the bed, taking your hand in his. You turned your head slightly to look at him, worry evident in his eyes. “Am I doing the right thing, Sam? Forever changing my body to be a man?”
Sam leaned over and took your other hand, pulling you up and into his lap. “Of course you are, Y/N. I’ve never seen you happier than when you're talking about the surgery. These thoughts are just your nerves taking control of you.”
Sam grazed his fingers against your cheek, you leaning into the welcome feeling. “Will you still love me? Even though I’ll be a man? I wouldn’t expect you to stay with me, Sam. I’ll understand.” Sam placed both of his hands on your cheeks and rubbed his thumb over them.
“I will always love you, no matter what gender you are or whatever you look like. You’ll always be my Y/N.”
You smiled softly at how sincere Sam was being and how understanding he was about the situation. You leaned up and pressed a soft kiss to his lips.
