Bismillah hir Rahman nir Raheem.

Six months later.

Maahi bent down and laced his shoes. After tying them, he stood up from the couch and picked his backpack which was laying down beside him. After hanging it on one of his shoulders, he peeked through his watch.

It was 7.45 AM,  and he was getting late for work. He had to go through the subway to reach his office. It was a ten minutes walk to the subway station, and he should start now, to catch the train on time.

Maahi said a Salaam louder and was about to open the main door when his Aunt called, "Maahi! Wait." She rushed to his side from the kitchen.

"Yes! Chachi!" He turned, adjusting his backpack containing his laptop and other stuff on his shoulder.

"Your lunch." She pushed a tiffin wrapped with polythene cover towards him.

Maahi beamed at her. "Thank you, Chachi." He smiled gratefully, as she planted a kiss on his forehead.  "It's nothing much," she threw her hand in ignoring his praise, "Go safe." She waved him goodbye.

Maahi walked out of the house with warmth seeping his heart. Finally, he was living a life he had only dreamt of. It makes one happy to be with family, they make us feel belonged. Having someone to hold unto, after a tiring day, is something to be blessed for. All these things, many people remain ignorant of and don't value, but when they lose their loved one's all of a sudden, do they realize the importance of the people they have lost. Grieving in the future, will not give you any use and on the same page, relishing upon the past will only make you lose the present. This was Maahi's logic.

His parents tried so hard to have a baby, but they were unable to, for many years. They tried, tried, tried. And finally, when their dream came true and Maahi was born, they were more than happy. But that happiness was short-lived, within a month of rejoicing his birth, they had to undergo a terrific accident. Their house caught fire.

They could only save his life. They died not living the reality of what they dreamt of living.

Everyone has their own story to tell. No one is free of problems. We can't judge seeing someone smile and say they are happy while seeing someone cry and say they are sad.

Happiness and sadness are the two sides of the same coin. Just like the sky, one day it rains, one day it thunders, one day it is bright with vibrant clouds, one day it is painted with beautiful rainbow's, and one day it shines with the rays of the Sun. The same applies to life, one day we will be sad with our problems, and the other day, we will be filled with nothing but smiles.

It was a smiling moment for Maahi and he felt more than blessed to live his life, at this moment.

...

"Tell me about it." Maahi ran a hand through his hair, "It was a terrible decision for me to take you, with me." He looked down at Asad.

"Come on Bro! You don't hate me as much as you say it out loud."

Maahi just groaned in reply. His aunt asked him to run some errands to the market, and here he was accompanied by a munchkin, who doesn't fail to annoy him to the core.

"Can we play as we walk?" asked Asad.

"No! Please?" It sounded more like a question than a request.

"Pretty please."

"You aren't going to leave me, are you?" He ran a hand through his hair.

"Hey! I am not gonna leave you and Rule No. 603 in Bro Code is not to go against the wishes of the Brother."

"Asad! You are this little," Maahi pointed at his height, "And when did you write so many rules for your Bro Code?"

"Don't you know?"

Maahi shook his head in a no.

"I make the rule whenever I want to." Asad smiled sheepishly.

"You are unbelievable." Maahi ran a hand through his hair.

"That I am." Asad grinned.

They reached the Supermarket and went ahead to buy the list of groceries that were to be bought for dinner. After paying the bill, Maahi turned towards Asad and found him stocking a handful of gummy bears in his direction.

"Maahi! Bill these too." His mouth formed a beautiful pout.

"No Chance." Maahi grabbed the Bag.

"You are so cruel. Okay! Rule No. 1200 in bro code is to buy gummy bears for the brother." said Asad.

"Ahaan." Maahi dropped the bag to the floor and kneeled to Asad's height.

"You want to Grow up like a Man, right?"

Asad replied in affirmative.

"Men don't eat gummy bears."

"Legends eat gummy bears Maahi. As you are new, you don't know about them." Asad smiled cheekily.

"You can be impossible Asad. No one is gonna win a battle against you with words." Maahi got up.

"I will inform you if I lose one, please pay the bill now. My hands are hurting carrying this weight for so long."

Maahi ran a hand through his hair watching the Drama Queen Boy who stood before him. Running a hand through his hair is like a habit of him in clear annoyance and bright smiling occasions. He cares about his hair more than he should. That moment though, he shook his head at Asad's antics and went to pay off the bill.

Tomorrow's the wedding!

Dude!! I hope you were here to calm my nerves.. - Sameer.

I am sure you would do just right.

- Maahi.

I would do all wrong, coz you aren't with me. - Sameer.

Allah is with you. Trust him Sameer! - Maahi.

Allah is with everyone Maahi. Don't tell me the obvious. - Sameer.

Maahi sighed at his friend, for he was acting stupid.

What do you want me to tell you then? - Maahi.

Can you tell me about "It"? - Sameer.

"It." Maahi read as his eyebrows scrunched together as he looked at the phone's screen.

'It' what??? - Maahi.

About the "Talk":-(( - Sameer.

Stop with the quotations already. Get it straight Sameer. - Maahi.

Don't think me as being ridiculous, But no one talked about it to me Maahi. I don't know what to do on the 'Night' you know:--) Well, I know the basics but I have doubts!! - Sameer.

Maahi groaned as his face turned into a look of disgust.

Eww!! Sameer. Have you lost your brain? - Maahi.

Maahi, please. I am confused. Look I didn't ask you all these day's right? Tomorrow is my Nikah Maahi. All my life, I haven't done anything but study. That too Computer's and stuff. How do you people expect me to know everything, without anyone talking about it? -  Sameer.

Maahi read Sameer's long message and groaned.

You can Google it Sameer:-/) -  Maahi.

It isn't Haraam, right? - Sameer.

No, it is not if you read on authentic Islamic websites. And it is not wrong if you want to learn, as much as it sounds gross.

And don't rush things, it will happen when things are meant to. And she has rights on you too, and it is in Hadith that you could give them time for a week if they need..- Maahi.

Thanks, Mate! And Don't act as if you are someone innocent Maahi will see when you get married. I would punch you if you ask me to teach you when In shaa Allah, I would exceed all expectations in this subject too:-)  - Sameer.

Sameer!! You are Gross, you know that right?:-( - Maahi.

Maahi tossed his phone away as he laughed out loud. His friend was a total nutcase.
