Korra's pov
"Asami where are you?!" there was smoke everywhere
"Bolin!? Mako!?" I was walking around the place with an air bubble around my head so I won't suffocate, we got separated during the explosion, I was with Asami in her office, she said she needed some help testing some new material, she needed to know how much it will take of all the elements before it will break. Later in her office, we were just talking but all of a sudden we heard screams so we ran out and there was smoke everywhere. Asami called Lin and Mako and Bolin got here to help us ut then there was an explosion and we got separated.
"Anyone?!" I screamed
"Korra!" I heard in the distance
"hang on! I'm coming!" I screamed and ran to that direction, I saw Asami, trying to help some of her employees that got hurt during the explosion. I quickly bent the air bubble for them too.
"We need to get them out of here now, did you see Mako or Bolin?" I said while helping one of the injured man up
"Yeah they are outside helping other people" I nodded in response and we made our way out.
When we got outside of the building, we saw Mako and Bolin helping the injured people. I sat down the man I carried on my back and so did Asami, then I bet the air bubbles away.
"What happened? Why did someone attacked?" I asked
"I have some new blueprints in progress I think that was their main motive," Asami said and sighed
"There's 8 people, how many of them were in the building?" I quickly asked
"10 in total with us too," Asami said
"good so everyone is out"
"Look!" Bolin out of nowhere shouted and we saw a group of people behind the corner of the street running away
"that's them! Come on! Bolin, you stay with the injured people we'll get them" I said and I started running to their direction. Not long after, Asami caught up on me with Mako in her Satomobile
"hop in!" she yelled and I air bent myself in, we were chasing them, they got in a car and drove away
"come on faster!" Mako said
"I'm going as fast as I can!" Asami yelled
"try getting me closer please, I have an idea" I said, I used some earth bending to shape a sharp bit and I shot it on the other car's wheels and they broke so the other car slowed down. We were now closer I stood up and climbed on the hood
"Woah what the hell are you doing sit down!" Mako yelled but I didn't listen, Asami instead got me even closer to the other car and I jumped on it, there were 4 people in it and we were fighting, the driver wasn't paying attention on the road but on me so he was about to hit the close lamp I quickly jumped off and I landed on the ground. Asami hit the break and I ran towards the robbers, one of them held the blueprints, the other one some kind of weapon, the rest of the group was just sitting in the car, they gave up. I ran after them but all of a sudden, one of them turned around and fired with the weapon at me, it happened so fast I didn't even get to react as a dart hit my shoulder and I fell on the ground
"Korra!" I heard Asami scream, I stood up and I was about to run after them again but I met the ground again, I tried to bent the earth wall to stop them but nothing happened
I can't bend I thought as I tried it again but nothing, then all of a sudden the police showed up and stopped them. Stupid chi block.
"Korra are you alright?" Asami asked as she rushed to my side and helped me stand up, once I was steady and could walk she let go of me which kinda upset me but I shrug it off
"Are you okay?" she asked again with a worried expression, I pulled the dart out of my shoulder and looked at her, I saw Mako in the distance helping the police load the criminals
"yeah don't worry Sami, just a chi block, I'll be fine" I smiled, she still looked worried but she just nodded, I looked at the dart in my hand and dropped it on the ground
"come on we have to get to Bolin and make sure the injured people got sent to the hospital," I said as we walked to Asami's car and drove to Bolin's direction.
*time skip*
I was on the Air Temple Island, I tried to meditate but I just couldn't for some reason, as much as I tried I couldn't. I closed my eyes took a deep breath and tried it again, I felt a slight pain going down my back but I tried to focus on meditating as much as I could, out of nowhere I felt a hand on my shoulder as I panicked, I quickly opened my eyes and turned around.
"Woah there it's just me," Jinora said as she sat in front of me
"oh hey Jinora, what's up?"
"You seem stressed lately, today before you left the island you were acting weird, are you okay?" she asked and she smiled
"I'm fine Jinora I just can't focus on meditating for some reason" I sighed
"It's okay, it happens, don't stress about it" she put her hand on my shoulder "I know being the Avatar must be hard, but I also know you're strong to handle it Korra" she kept smiling as she stood up "also, I came to tell you that Asami is calling you" she chuckled and I stand up.
"thank you Jinora" I smiled and I hugged her, then we both went into the temple.

"Hey Asami, is everything okay?"
"Yes of course Korra, will you make it tomorrow?"
"of course! 11 am right?
"yes exactly"
"Alright I'll be there, how is your factory"
"It's fine, we'll have to renovate it but until that will be finished we'll be in our second smaller one on the edge of republic city"
"so I should come there?
"yeah you'll find it"
"Okay then good night Asami" I was about to hang up when-
"Wait Korra"
"Yeah?"
"..."
"Hello?"
"Are you okay Korra?" I could hear the worry in her voice
"If you're talking about my bending and about what happened earlier in general, then yes I am alright Asami, don't worry about me" she really cares about me I smiled at that thought
"Okay then, see you tomorrow, good night Korra"
"night Sami" I smiled and I hang up.
I was walking to my room, my back and shoulder were hurting, and I still couldn't bend. I sighed as I changed into my night clothes and I sat on the edge of the bed. Naga stood up from her corner and she came closer to me and licked my hand.
"I know girl, I know" I hugged her, I was hoping I'll have my bending back in the morning, but what if it won't? I hugged Naga tightly, she licked my face and she looked at me with these sad eyes, I swear to god she can read me like a book
"I'm fine girl, I'll be fine" hopefully
*Morning*
I woke up with a terrible headache, and the pain in my back and shoulder was getting worse, I've seen on the clock on my bedside table that it was 9 am, I should get going or I'll be late to Asami's, I slowly stood up, as I almost lost my balance, Naga looked at me like 'are you drunk?'
"I'm fine" I got to my wardrobe and changed then I picked up my glider.
I walked out of my room as something crashed into me and I fell to the ground
"aghh damn it who- Meelo?"
"sorry Korra Ikki was chasing me" he stood up and ran away, I sighed as I stood up with the support of the wall
"I'm so sorry about that Korra, he stole my last cookie, I hope you're okay I gotta go" Ikki said as she ran after Meelo, I shook my head as I grabbed the glider again, I walked out of the temple as the sun was shining directly into my eyes which made the headache even worse.
"Good morning Korra" someone said
"Good Morning" I replied not bothering to look in the person's direction
"are you okay? You're white as a wall" I turned around and I saw it was Jinora, everything was spinning now
"I told you I'm fine" The last thing I saw was Jinora's worried face as everything turned black
"Korra!!"
