Cali's POV
I only slept fa an hour because my contractions weren't far apart. When I woke up everybody made it to the hospital, but Key. Nobody heard from him, so hopefully they on a plane coming.
" Wazzam, YouTube fam. I'm back at it again with another video. As you read the title today's video is a labor and delivery vlog." Ash said as she started back recording.
" You got a YouTube channel?" Meika asked Ash.
" Nah, I'm just jocin." She laughed.
" One word. Remedial. Ouch, ow, ow, ow." I said as I started to get another contraction.
" See, that's why you don't talk about people. Anyways, this your grandma Erica and your grandma Meika. Hold on, do y'all want him to call y'all grandma, nana, gg, meme, or some else?" Ashley asked as she turned the camera towards my momma nem.
" Whichever one he prefers. It doesn't matter." Meika laughed.
" Right, cause at the end of the day we still gone be a grandma when it all boils down." My momma laughed.
" Do y'all have any advice for Cali and Key on raising a baby?" Ash asked them.
" There's no rule book on parenting, so just because somebody do it one way and you do it another way. Doesn't make you any less of a parent. As long as it works fa y'all. Just do what you think is best fa him, and always put him first before everything. There's no such thing as a perfect parent, just be a real one." Meika said.
" Yeah, what Meika said. You and Key got this. Y'all have a village to help, so don't be scared to ask fa help when y'all need it. Make sure you and Key keep working together y'all co-parenting relationship. Apologize when you mess up, it's ok nobody's perfect. When in doubt choose your child. There'll be plenty of time later to choose work. Cause work isn't always important. Don't be so busy with work like me and ya daddy was. Caliana, I'm sorry fa doing dat to you baby." My momma said hugging me sounding like she was finna cry.
" It's fine I forgive y'all." I said as I hugged her back.
" Beautiful just beautiful." Ash said wiping a fake tear from under her eye.
" Ashley, son. You this close to blowing me son." I laughed.
There was a sudden knock on the door. I thought it was Key, but it wasn't it was my doctor. She grabbed a new pair of gloves, so she could see how far I was dilated now.
" Alrighty, Ms. Cartier let's check your progress." She said as she stuck her fingers up my vagina.
Y'all know I'm use to having fingers up there. Hell, whether it's male or female, but in front of my momma and Meika is just uncomfortable. The fact that my vagina is just out on display in front of em is cringeworthy.
" Looks like you're 8 centimeters dilated. Is this who's going to be in the room while you push?" She said looking up at me.
" No, she's leaving once his father gets hea." I said.
" Ok, do you know how far away is he?" She asked taking off her gloves.
I shook my head no.
" Ok, well in the next 30 minutes or so. You'll be at 10 centimeters, and you'll be ready to push. So we're going to start prepping for the baby. Ok?" She asked.
I couldn't even say anything I was stuck, so my momma spoke fa me.
" Ok, that's fine. Thank you so much." She said as my doctor nodded walking out.
" I'm finna go call Markeyvius nem." Meika said getting up.
Ten minutes later Meika came back in, and sat down.
" I couldn't get a hold of em. I'm sure it's because they the plane." Meika said.
" I'm sure they'll be hea." My momma said trying to sound optimistic.
" Seattle is almost a 6 hour flight from hea. He not gone make it. I can't do this without him." I said as I began to cry.
" Yes, you can. So stop all this crying." My momma said.
" Caliana look, if Markeyvius ain't here his ass just ain't here. This baby ain't finna wait on him. He should've never even took his ass on tour to begin with." Meika said causing me to look over towards ha.
" I know what'll make you feel better. You want some to eat?" Ashley said me.
" If I eat anything right now fa a fact, ima shit on myself while pushing." I said wiping my tears.
" And that's enough recording fa now until you start pushing." Ash said with a disgusted face as she ended the video.
The nurses came in starting to lay out the the blankets, and stuff fa the baby. 5 minutes past, then 10, then 20, then 30 minutes passed. Somebody busted in the room.
Ashley jumped from being scared, " Damn, you scared the fuck outta me."
" I'm here! Is he here yet? God, I hope I didn't miss it."
" Nah fool. No why the hell you ain't been answering!" Meika said looking at Key.
" I'm sorry we would've been here earlier, but it wasn't no flights leaving out until tomorrow. So I had book a private jet last minute." Key said outta breathe.
" Who is we?" Ashley asked.
" Me, Pjay, Fat, and Woo. Dolph said he wished he could've came." Key said to me.
" It's cool."
" You still 8 centimeters?" He asked me.
" Ion know the doctor haven't came back in yet."
" Wazzam guys I'm back with another video. After numerous phone calls and text messages. This nigga finally made it. So, Key Glock tell us what took you so long." Ashley said as she started back recording.
" She been doing this since y'all been here?" Key asked me laughing.
I nodded my head, " Just answer the question, and she'll leave."
" I was on tour in Seattle doing a show, but I got on a G5 and got here as fast as I could. I cussed out alotta m'fers on the way here." Key laughed.
" Y'all I feel like I gotta poop. Key helped me up." I said pulling the covers from over me.
" Ight." Key said walking over towards me.
" No!" My momma and Meika yelled.
" Let me go get the doctor." My momma said running out.
" What's wrong?" I asked with a confused look on my face.
" Girl, you don't gotta shit. That's the baby's head. It's right there." Meika said.
My eyes damn near bucked outta my head.
Key smacked his lips, " Ain't no way, let me see."
Key walked over to where Meika was standing, and damn near fell out. Meika had to hold him up.
" Nigga felt like Xscape, and got weak in the knees didn't it. I got all of it on camera too. Look at ya daddy, knees buckling and shit." Ashley said as she kept recording.
" Thats SWV." Meika said looking at her like she was crazy.
My momma, my doctor, and a bukoo of nurses rushed in the room.
" Alright, Caliana I can see his head crowning from here."
" Who gone record fa me while I'm in the waiting area?" Ashley asked looking around like a lost puppy.
" I will." Meika said.
" Once, I walk back through this door again. I'll officially be a GodMommy." Ashley said excitedly as she handed Meika ha phone, and walked out.
" Ok, Caliana take a deep breath and give me a big push." She said.
I pushed fa 10 seconds, " It feels like my vagina is ripping! Is it ripping." I asked Key.
" Ion know, I'm not looking. But you're doing great sweetie." Key said with his eyes closed as he stood next to me.
" It's not sweetie. I promise give me another push." My doctor said.
I did as I was told. I pushed for another 20 minutes before I heard crying.
" He's here!" Meika said excitedly.
" You did it baby." My momma said as she kissed my head.
" Congratulations, you guys. Dad, do you wanna cut the umbilical cord?" The doctor asked Key, and he nodded his head.
Key cut it, and they wiped him off before they laid him on my chest. He was so beautiful I started crying uncontrollably.
" Thank you God." I said as I kissed his head.
I looked over, and Key was wiping tears from his face too. A few minutes later, I let Key hold him.
" The best Valentine's gift we ever got right?" I smiled as I looked at them.
Key nodded his head not taking his eyes off of our son.
" So, do we have a name?" One of the nurses asked.
" Yeah, A'kyrie Chase Cathey. But his nickname gone be AK." I smiled.
Everybody that was in the waiting room came in all at once.
" Congratulations y'all." They all said.
" I'm proud of you amira." My daddy said walking over kissing me on my forehead.
" Thanks baba." I smiled.
" Uncle Pjay in this m'fer!" Pjay yelled rubbing his hands together.
" Where my godbaby at?" Ash asked pushing Pjay out the way.
They all looked in Key's arms looking at AK.
" Bruh, Cali you hated Glock guts. Lil nigga look just like his ass. All you did was carry him." Woo laughed.
" Let me wash my hands, so I can hold him." Kennedy said walking over to the sink.
" Right." Ashley said walking behind her.
" Trey, where Ari and Tremani?" I asked.
" They left cause Tremani got cranky." He replied.
" Cranky? Mane, cuz ass was out there showing his ass. Mane bad as hell." Fat laughed.
" Leave him alone." I laughed.
" So, Trey since Key's baby is here now. You remember when y'all got the fighting, and you said his baby was gone be ugly? Do the statement still stands or did it change cause it's ya cousin's baby too?" Fat asked laughing as he held Ashley's phone recording.
Trey sucked the top of his teeth, " That situation was different cause I was referring to someone else's baby cause unlike my cuzzin she was ugly as fuck. A'Kyrie got our blood in him. Hell, me and my cuzzin look good, so he ain't got no choice but to look as good as us."
" AHT AHT, we not finna bring dat shit up again." I said laughing.
