✵ 𝓦𝓸𝔀, 𝓢𝓬𝓸𝓽𝓽 ✵
With a roar, Scott made his and Brooklyn's presence know. They were now at the Sinema where they knew Hayden was to try and keep her safe. The Dread Doctors were already there and Liam was trying to fight them off on his own but he was failing.
Scott leaped at the doctor moving towards Hayden and sent it a harsh swipe to the chest. Brooke scuttled past their opposition and over to the chimera, placing an arm out in front of her and moving them both over to the corner.
Liam picked himself up off the floor and ran for the Dread Doctor. He grabbed ahold of its arm and started sending punches to its stomach. The doctor just grabbed the werewolf arm in retaliation and sent him flying across the room to land on his butt.
The True Alpha snarled. He went at the thing again and swiped at its masked face. He then sent quite a few punches to the doctor before he too was picked up like a doll and was flipped over onto his back on the floor.
Another doctor then appeared and while Liam went to keep that one at bay, Brooke was left to defend Hayden from the other one advancing towards them. The healer twirled around and sent a kick right to the thing's metal clad head making it shuffle back a step. But other than that it was unfazed and came at them again.
In her peripheral vision, the Hale girl could see that yet another Dread Doctor had appeared and was having a go at Scott. Her chest tightened but there was nothing she could do, she had one of her own to deal with. The doctor took more steps forward so Brooke sprinted forward, grabbing hold of its shoulders and using the momentum to kick both of her feet into its chest.
Yet again, it barely went back a step. She huffed and signalled for Hayden to get further back. The Dread Doctor stepped forward again but instead of Brooke attacking it, it attacked her. It grabbed the back of her jacket, using that to swing her around and throw her out of the way.
As the healer collided with the wall luckily managing to stay on her feet she could see Theo come in and fight off the one she'd had been and Liam's one disappear. Said beta, was shouting for Hayden with desperation coating his voice.
From another room Brooklyn could hear Hayden scream and Liam dashing off to the sound. The young werewolf shouted, "No!" so loudly that there was no way whatever happened could ever be good. The Dread Doctor that the Hale had fought repeated some foreign words before letting Theo go and walking out. It was obvious they'd done what they came to do.
Brooke placed a hand to her sore head as she followed Theo and Scott into the next room over. They ran in to see Hayden leant against a pillar and Liam gently placing a hand on her back. She was fine, though. Not dead like the rest. "I'm okay. Really, I think I'm okay." she assured a worried Liam.
The beta nodded before turning to the older three teens in the room. "I saw a needle go in, and her eyes just filled up with mercury." he informed them. "They turned completely silver."
Brooklyn looked over at Hayden with a slightly parted mouth. So it wasn't all good news. But then, how was she fine?
"She looks okay." Theo commented.
"She might heal." Brooke suggested.
"Or maybe she won't." Scott countered making Liam more fretful.
"What if something's happening to her on the inside?" the beta then questioned.
"Get them to the animal clinic." Scott instructed the healer and Theo. "I'll meet you there."
The four of them loaded into Theo's car as Hayden took a turn for the worst. She leant on Liam in the back seat as she whimpered and wheezed. "Keep her awake." Theo ordered the younger werewolf, "I don't think it's a good idea for her to fall asleep."
"Hayden? Hayden, you gotta stay awake." Liam told the ill girl in his arms. Rain stated to pour down. The strong drops creating a loud noise and putting them all in a more sombre mood.
"I'm so tired." she whispered back.
"Yeah, I know, but you can't go to sleep." he replied. He then turned to face the two up at the front, "How do we help her?"
"I don't know." Brooklyn confessed, Theo nodding along with her in agreement. Normal she'd just use her abilities and then everyone was fine, but because Hayden was a chimera that restricted her.
"When it's wolfsbane poisoning, you burn it out. But I don't know anything about mercury. Especially a kind that's probably been altered by them." Theo responded.
"Is she going to heal?" Liam asked frantically.
"The problem is she's not really like us, Liam. None of them are. They're more like, like cheap knockoffs. She might not be as strong as we are." Theo put it into perspective.
"Or heal like we do." Liam mumbled.
"She's not a real werewolf." Brooke said solemnly.
"What if we turn her into one?" the beta asked.
"Only an alpha can do that and she's weak, Liam, who knows if she would survive it?" the Hale girl told him. She of all people knowing how the bite of a werewolf can turn very bad very quickly.
"But there's a chance. Scott can do it." Liam opposed, tightening his grip on Hayden's hand. He was going to help her.

Brooke had her elbows resting on the examining table as she looked at Liam and Hayden huddled in the corner when Scott walked in. Liam instantly informed the drenched boy of the condition the girl in his lap was in, "She's getting worse. I think she's dying."
"It's got to be some kind of mercury poisoning." Theo added.
"She gets worse every second." Brooke filled Scott in. She didn't miss the devastated look on his face. What had happened now?
"Scott, remember what you promised me. You said you'd do everything you could to save her." Liam reminded his alpha. "If she's a real werewolf, we can save her. Brooke can even heal her. You gotta give her the bite."
The True Alpha looked down for a second before gazing at his beta with pity. "No." he said.
Liam stood up angrily and stormed over to Scott. "What do you mean, 'no'." he questioned.
"Liam, look at her." Scott replied making the beta glance over. Theo was now crouched down in front of Hayden as she groaned in pain very few seconds, struggling to keep her eyes open. "She's too weak. It will kill her. We don't even know what the Mercury's doing to her. We don't even know if it is actually mercury. This can't be the only way to save her life."
"It saved mine." Liam fired back.
"That was different, Liam, and you know it." Brooke stated as she made her way closer to the two boys.
"You promised." Liam huffed, pointing a finger at his alpha. "You said you'd do everything you could."
"Which is why I'm not going to do something I think is going to kill her." Scott retorted. "There has to be..." he cut himself off when he started gasping for breath, "There has to..."
"Scott." Theo called as he chucked the boy an inhaler.
The McCall boy caught it, shaking it before taking a puff. "There's another way to save her." he told his beta.
"Guys, I don't know what the statistics are for surviving a werewolf bite, but she's definitely not surviving this." Theo acknowledged as Hayden's breathing became laboured. "We need to do something."

Scott had called his mum for help. Melissa was bringing in all kinds of medical equipment as Liam and Brooke finished laying Hayden down on the examining table with a blanket and a pillow. "What's that?" Liam asked as the nurse opened up a large red and white box.
"It's called chelation therapy. It removes heavy metals from the blood." Melissa informed him as she placed some bags filled with clear liquid next to the injured girl. "But, the problem is, is that it can injure the kidneys and Hayden only has one to begin with, so..."
The nurse began putting the drip into the vein in Hayden's hand making the girl groan. Liam quickly latched into Melissa's wrist tightly, "Hey, you're hurting her." he exclaimed.
"And you're hurting me." the McCall mum replied. Scott looked over at his beta pointedly. Liam immediately let go muttering a sorry.
"Guys..." Theo grabbed their attention. "Remember, we're here to save a life. Not kill each other."
"It's the full moon. We can feel it even during the day." Scott stated.
"And it's a supermoon." Theo added.
"What is that supposed to make you guys, like super strong? Super aggressive?" Melissa inquired as she continued to set up everything she needed.
Brooke gave her a sarcastic smile, "Both."
Melissa was then done and all that was left to do was wait. While the others kept a close eye on Hayden, Brooklyn pulled Scott into the reception area to have a chat. "Are you okay? Did something happen before you came here?" the Hale girl asked.
Scott placed one of his hands in his pocket while he rub his forehead with the other. "I fought with Stiles. I basically told him not to help anymore." he muttered.
"You what!" Brooke exclaimed a little loudly.
"He murdered someone, Brooke. Brutally murdered!" Scott emphasised.
"That's what Theo said." the Hale girl fired back. She didn't care if said boy was just in the other room. She didn't care about any of them actually. She was pretty angry. Why did Scott believe him? "I'm not saying that Stiles is innocent, Scott, but do you really think your best friend bashed someone's head in until they were nearly unrecognisable?!"
"He didn't deny it! The way he pointed that wrench at me, Brooke, I, I couldn't see otherwise." Scott countered.
"You really believe Theo Raeken? Theo Raeken, Scott. The boy Stiles didn't like the look of from day one!" Brooklyn scoffed.
"Why shouldn't I? He's done nothing but help us!" the True Alpha thundered.
"But he was all too happy to snitch on Stiles. You know what, he was probably listening in as you two argued outside! He was probably drinking it all up like he was watching some televised drama!" the healer exploded.
"What reason would he have to do that, Brooke. Huh? What reason?!" Scott fumed.
"I don't know what's going on in that sick head of his!" Brooklyn remarked.
Scott's temper rose, "You're really angry just because I don't want to be around a murderer?!"
"It's not about that, Scott, it about where your loyalties lie. It's about seeing who's going to stab you in the back and who's actually helping!"
"But he is helping! Unlike you. Your guns don't work on the Dread Doctors and you can't heal the chimeras so your pretty much useless!" Scott yelled. Everyone in the other room winced, quite easily hearing them since they were shouting so loudly. Instant regret washed over Scott's face as the words finished coming from his mouth. He quite clearly remembered the night when he'd held her after she broke down because she was feeling useless.
Tears welled up in Brooke's eyes but she didn't let them fall. She didn't want to give that satisfaction. "Wow, Scott. Wow." she said, her words laced with venom.
The alpha went to say something when he was cut off by the Hale girl's phone ringing. She pulled it from her pocket to see Stiles' name at the top of the screen. Her eyebrows furrowed a little pondering what he could want but she answered anyway. "Stiles?" she asked and turned away from Scott who placed his head in his hands.
"Hey, Brooke. I know you're probably with Scott and he's probably told you everything but I had no one else to call. The jeep broke down again and it had to get towed. Is there any possibility you could give me a lift?"
"Uh..." Brooke hesitated. She looked back over her shoulder at Scott and her face hardened. "Sure."
"Thank you so much." Stiles gratefully said.
"It's no problem." Brooklyn told him.
"I'll send you my location." Stiles informed.
"I'll be there as quick as I can." the Hale girl replied before hanging up.
She turned back around to see Scott looking at her shocked. "Your really going to leave to help him?" he questioned accusingly.
"Yes because, unlike you, I still have faith in Stiles." Brooke retorted.
"He took a wrench to someone's head, Brooklyn!" Scott bellowed before becoming quiet and looking at the girl he loved with sad eyes. "I-I'm sorry. Please just stay, I'll make it right."
Brooklyn nearly crumbled but she remembered the words he said moments before. You're pretty much useless. She clenched her teeth together and raised her chin a little. "I don't think you can make it right, Scott. You believe someone who's been here for five seconds over someone you've know for the majority of your life. Someone's who practically your brother. And you know how I feel about this whole situation. You know how much it pains me that I can't help." she rasped, looking down at the floor.
"Please, Brooke. I'm so, so sorry just please stay." Scott breathed.
"I've got to go. Stiles is waiting." the Hale girl mumbled as she walked closer to the door, her eyes still trained on the floor.
"Really?" Scott scoffed. "You're really just going to walk out? You're not even going to let me apologise?"
"You know what, Scott, I'm done. I'm so done." Brooke snapped. With that, she opened the door and walked right out.
