No one can blame them for leaving their companion behind during this crisis. They could not even help themselves, how are they going to help others then?
Just by looking at those ants running after them, anyone who could see it would feel their heart drop.
The hundreds or maybe millions of ants running after them is not just some ordinary ant but man-eating ant that is as big as an adult man's thumb!
Having one chase them is no problem at all but seeing so many of it running after them, even bones might not be left if they catch up to them.

It was a wonder how they got into this peculiar and dangerous situation after crossing the lake of man-eating fishes.

Back to twenty hours ago, when the team crosses the man-eating fish lake, they found themselves in a desert.
It was fascinating at the same time baffling how a place like a desert would appear inside an underground cave.
What's more amazing is that the place was well-lit by the sun as if they were in a real desert.
It was so mystical how the sun reached that place.
But all they know is that they must get out of there as soon as possible before they get dehydrated from the intense heat.
"How big is this place? This is my first time seeing such a big place underground. Not only that but a desert? People will call me crazy if I say there is a desert underground!" A man from the tomb bandit gang said.
"This place is so hot. It's like I'm really in a desert."
"Brother Fei, I'm thirsty."
Leng MianMian turned to Fei Chen for water since the bottled water that she prepared for the journey was long gone after walking in that endless desert for hours.
Xiao Yao looked at her and shook his head. He thought that she was really unqualified to be a tomb raider.
How could she not conserve water knowing how scarce it is in the desert?
She is really lucky to have the male lead or else she would have long died due to her stupidity.
Well, male leads are female lead's life-saving talismans after all.

Being given the puppy eyes, Fei Chen's brain quickly overheated and got fried.
He quickly took out his bottled water and handed it to Leng MianMian who smilingly took his water bottle from his hand and drank it.
Fei Chen gladly watches Leng MianMian drink his last reserve of water bottle dry like an idiot.
Xiao Yao really felt that he really deserves to be the male lead.

Old Bai who was already parched walked towards Xiao Yao and grabbed him by the shoulders to talk to him.

"Then what should we do? We wouldn't be stranded here, right?"
"What can we do? We can only keep on walking forward." Xiao Yao replied.
"Boy, if we could not get out of here, you, will be the first to die! Do you understand?!"
Seeing how calm Xiao Yao is despite their situation, Old Bai was ticked and grabs him by the collar and angrily yelled at him.
Xiao Yao frowned and put his hands on both Old Bai's hand and forcefully took it off his collar.
"Old Bai, I said that I'll take you all to the Lost City. I never break my promise. Don't worry, we will definitely be able to get out of here. Old man, it's almost nighttime. Let's camp here and wait for morning."
"Old Bai, listen to him. Let us all rest here." The Old Bandit said.
Hearing the Old Bandit, Old Bai who could not refuse the leader's order turned back in a huff and hurried to their side to make camp.
"Xiao Yao, are you really taking them to the Lost City?" Chen Qiao asked.
Sitting on their own bonfire, the leads and Xiao Yao shared a meal and a heart-to-heart talk.
"Of course. I said before, I'll take them to the Lost City. I never break my promises."
"You! Are you really giving them all of the treasures?!"
Leng MianMian who could not take Xiao Yao's attitude threw the bowl in her hand toward Xiao Yao.
Effortlessly, Xiao Yao avoided being hit in his handsome face.
"Say, Auntie, between your life and the treasures, which would you choose?" Xiao Yao said.
"Auntie?! Who are you calling Auntie?! I'm only older than you by a month! How dare you call me Auntie?!!!!!" Leng MianMian shrieked.
"Even with a month difference you are still older than me, Auntie~" Xiao Yao sing sanged.
"Y-You!!"
Leng MianMian was shaking in anger and pointed her finger at Xiao Yao in exasperation and anger.
She was huffing and puffing that her small pretty face became red that it could almost drip blood.
"Ahhhh!!!!"
Seeing his smug smile, Leng MianMian was so pissed that she screamed in anger and walk away knowing that she is no match for Xiao Yao.
"MianMian!" Fei Chen yelled after Leng MianMian who was quickly walking away.
Fei Chen quickly stood up and followed her but not after glaring at Xiao Yao before walking away.
"Xiao Yao, if I did not know any better I would have thought that you like Leng MianMian seeing how you always tease her or make her angry." Chen Qiao suddenly said.
"Ew. Chen Qiao, how can you say something so disgusting!"
Xiao Yao frowned and made a face full of disgust.
He would have puked there and then if not for maintaining his dignified and cool image.
"Then, why are you always making her angry? The two of you had been at each other's throat ever since you first met, why hate her so much?"
Xiao Yao looked at Chen Qioa like he was an idiot.
"Then, let me ask you this. Do you like her?"
"Am I not supposed to like her? Despite her being a woman that is not suited to be a tomb raider, there is nothing to hate about her." Chen Qiao said after thinking for a while.
Listening to the second male lead, Xiao Yao almost grabs him by the collar and shakes him hard. He can only sigh and poke the fire with a stick.
"Oh, Chen Qiao, Chen Qiao, if you were to die one day you wouldn't be able to know why you died."
"What do you mean by that?" Chen Qiao asked confused not knowing why he was just cursed by Xiao Yao.
"Don't ask anymore, you wouldn't understand anyway even if I tell you."
