Leng MianMian who was besieged on two sides felt her tears drying up no longer able to fall down.
She had been crying for hours already that she could no longer produce tears.
"If it is not written, then think of a way! If you can't think of one then I better feed you to those fishes to become our way to cross the lake. They might become busy eating your body that we would have time to cross the lake on our own!"
"Not a bad idea!" Xiao Yao praised.

Leng MianMian screamed in fear when the bandit grab her by the arm about to throw her to the waters if not for Fei Chen holding her other arm the bandit might have succeded.
"Let go! Let go of her!"
Fei Chen grab Leng MianMian forcefully from the bandit and luckily pulled her back seeing that the bandit was not really serious about it.
"Enough. Enough. You had all wasted my time." The leader of the bandit yelled at the group irritated.
"Boss."
"Old Bai, if we really can't cross the lake then we can only retreat for now."
Hearing what the leader of the bandit said, the trio almost sighed in relief but choked when they heard his next words.
"But we can't have these burdens alive. You know what you'll have to do. Secrets should be buried. Only dead people keep secrets."
"Yes, Boss."
"Wah! Let go! Let go!"
"MianMian! Ha!"
"Fei Chen! Leng MianMian!"
It was chaos. The two sides were fighting the very moment the leader of the bandits gave the order.
The fight was almost over just as it began. It is very clear whose side is winning seeing the number of the bandits versus the three of them.
"Sigh. What a bunch of idiots."
Xiao Yao who had managed to stay out of the fight like an invisible man spectated the drama in front of him.
He was really not interested in the drama nor the fight between these two groups or in raiding a tomb.
But since he arrived in this part of the plot, then he must continue this journey despite having the annoying as-ever leads as teammates and a bunch of bandits wanting their lives.
The plot is missing and only the lead is his clue to continue the story.
Anyways, his mission in every world is just the same, counterattack as a Cannon Fodder and turn the table around and beat all the damn enemy!
Based on the original's memory and attitude, he must have died in this cave.
Now, what Xiao Yao must do is continue the journey, find the Lost City, and get out of there alive!
"Old Bandit, how about a cooperation." Xiao Yao said appearing behind the leader of the bandits.
"Wha!"
The leader of the bandits almost had a heart attack when he saw Xiao Yao appear behind him silently.
He did not even hear nor feel him walk close to him.
He was so close that if he wanted to kill him, he would have been dead!
"Boss!"
Hearing their Boss scream, the bandits quickly turned back and saw Xiao Yao standing beside their leader.
"Youngster, don't do anything stupid. If you harm our leader then they are dead!"
The bandit then grab Leng MianMian by the neck and threatened Xiao Yao with her life. Not that he cares.
"Brother, even if you threatened me with her life or kill her in front of me I won't even blink." Xiao Yao laughed and put his arms around the leader.
"Ack!"
"MianMian! Xiao Yao, don't go too far!"
Fei Chen glared at Xiao Yao seeing how the bandit tightened his hold on her neck.
"What? I did not even do a thing to her. Why are you scolding me?" Xiao Yao said acting innocent which only irritated Fei Chen.
"Let her go!"
Knowing that it's no use talking to a dumb Xiao Yao, Fei Chen set his eyes on the bandit choking Leng MianMian.
"You tell him to let go first! Or I'll kill her!"
Fei Chen grits his teeth and yelled at the bandit to let Leng MianMian go but the bandit said the same thing back at him wanting Xiao Yao to let their leader go.
"Say old bandit, aren't those two stupid? Am I holding you hostage? I'm not pointing a knife at you or something." Xiao Yao said to the old bandit who was standing as still as a statue beside him.
[Host, even without a knife you can kill that old man like swatting a fly. You are too dangerous that even with just your eyes you could kill a person!!]
'I'm not Superman Xiao Xiao. I don't have laser eyes or something.'
"Old bandit, how about your people let them go first, and let's talk this out with a cup of water?" Xiao Yao pats the old man's shoulders.
"Kid, are you threatening me?"
The old bandit looked at Xiao Yao saying that he was not buying it.
"Old man, don't worry. I promise you, this talk would be worth your time."
Xiao Yao and the old man looked at each other's eyes for a long time. Not one of them bat an eyelid and stared at each other, the old man then laughed.
"Old Bai, let her go."
"But Boss!"
"Let her go." The old bandit said in a strong voice making Old Bai let go of Leng MianMian.
"Good choice old man. I'll definitely make your time worthwhile."
"You should boy, you should. Or you will be the first one to go down."
"Hahah. Your funny old man."
Xiao Yao pats the old man's shoulders before inviting him to sit in a corner.
"So your saying, you have a way to get us across the lake?"
"Just as I said, old man." Xiao Yao smiled.
The old man looked at Xiao Yao for a long time before finally speaking his mind.
"Tell me your condition, kid."
"Your really smart, old man. I love talking to people like you!" Xiao Yao laughed.
"I had been in this trade for so long. I know a lot of people like you. So shoot. What do you want."
"Actually old man, I want nothing."
"What do you mean?" The old bandit creased his eyebrows not understanding what Xiao Yao meant.
"Old man, you might have never heard of me but if you do then we might get along even just a little. You might have heard of my name in the circle before, my name is Yao, surnamed Xiao."
"Xiao Yao?" The old man said confused.
"Xiao Yao! Is it the Xiao Yao of the Xiao family, that crazy Xiao young master who only takes elixirs in tombs his people raid and give all the treasures to his people? That elixir craze maniac, Xiao Yao!" Old Bai said exaggeratedly.
"Old Bai, you praised me too much." Xiao Yao shamelessly said.
"Whose praising you?! You are totally crazy! Why would you only take some stupid old elixir in the tomb than the goods?! The treasure is worth more than that elixir! You can buy many of those with the money you earn from the treasures!"
"Old Bai, you might think I'm insane but is there a problem with my way? Besides, the elixir is better than the things of the dead. So old and ugly, they are no match for my elixirs."
Xiao Yao scrunches his nose up as if just mentioning those old things of the dead disgust him so much.
"You!"
Old Bai was puffing red heaving in anger hearing what Xiao Yao said. How could he not be angry?
He just heard him call those ancient treasures, his treasures that could produce him big bucks in an instant old and ugly.
Old Bai was about to say more but the old bandit stop him from saying more.
"Boss....."
"So, what is it that you want?"
"Simple. You can take all the treasures and I take the elixirs. I also want you to guarantee our safety. We must make it out of this tomb alive without your people harming us. In exchange, I will help you reach the Lost City."
"Kid, you are talking more than you can handle."
"Old man, I don't talk big without my skills backing me up. I have confidence that I will be able to take you to the Lost City. So, is this a deal?"
The old man was an old ginger and very hard to lie to and persuade. As they say, the older the ginger the spicier it is.
Looking into Xiao Yao's eyes, he believes that this youth might just be able to bring him to that legendary Lost City that he was searching for.
"Don't let me down, kid."
And with that, the deal was sealed.
