I am back again with a new chapter. What do you all think the separation is temporary or will it last longer?

Akash's POV
It's been 2 days since my baby left for her hometown and I couldn't get enough time to talk to her as she told me that her parents don't like her spending much time on phone, even when it is just texting.
I really miss her and today is my first round of campus placement-written test.
I know I am well prepared but even then there is some void.
To calm my nerves I talked to mumma and that was a bit relaxing but even then, I was waiting to hear the voice of certain someone.
"Come let's go dude. It's our turn for the test" Sid said and I came out of my Siya's thoughts.
I was just glancing at my phone, waiting for even a text message from her but there was no sign of it.
Did she forget that I had my first round of campus today?
"Don't think much Akash, she must be busy at her home. I am sure there must be some valid reason because of which she didn't contact you" Sid said.
I know he is right and the condition that in which she is living at her home, under the strict supervision of her parents, it must be so difficult for her but even a simple all the best text from her would mean more than world to me right now.
I think she couldn't get time.
"Let's go dude" Sid said.
Sighing as soon as I was about to put the phone in my backpack as mobile phones weren't allowed in the exam hall, my went off and the caller ID I saw brought an instant smile on my lips.
I immediately swiped the answer button but waited for some time to get an answer from the other end, just to make sure Siya is on the call and not her mother or father.
I know I can't mess it up for her otherwise she'll be in a big problem and I can't let that happen at any cost.
"Hello" she said after a pause a of few seconds.
It was my baby.
"Hello baby, oh god you don't know how much I've waited for your call" I said all excited.
She was panting hard, I could sense her ragged breathing.
"Hey baby, what happened? Are you all right?" I asked her, getting tensed.
"I am all fine, I was just running to get away from my house so that mummy papa wouldn't notice me and I called you as soon as I got a chance" she said.
"Oh god baby, you didn't have to do it. Even if it was a simple text, it wouldn't have lessen your importance" I said.
"I know, but today is a big day for you, I wanted to wish you by talking to you, not just a simple text message" she said.
"How did you come out of your house" I asked.
"I made some grocery list yesterday and asked mumma to add some other things as well, just to get a chance to get out of the house. Mumma was asking me to go to the market after some time as it is quite early in the morning but if I would've gone late then I wouldn't get a chance to talk to you so I made an excuse that shop would be empty right now, so I could come back early" she said.
"Oh baby, you've become so smart" I teased her.
"I know, I am" she said and I could imagine her raising her imaginary collar.
"Jokes aside. I know you are well prepared and how much you want to secure a job in this company" she said.
"Yes, as you already know that QLC tech is one of the fortune 500 companies. It'll be a dream start to my career from this company and they are even offering good package for freshers" I said.
"I know Akash, how much this means to you. All the best my love" she said.
"What did you say?" I was dumbstruck at the user of her endearment. She has never done it before.
"I said all the best my love" she repeated her sentence with so much love.
"Oh god baby, you'll be death of mine" I said grinned.
"If you get a job in this company, I'll call you with many more endearments" she said, trying to bribe me.
Oh god she's so cute.
"Are you trying to bribe me future Mrs Sharma?" I asked her.
"What if I was?" she said.
"Then I'll have to get a job at any cost in this company after all why would I miss a chance get heard by endearments from you" I said, grinning like a fool.
"Okay then, it's deal Mr. Sharma, you get this job and I'll call you with as many and whichever endearment you want" she said.
"Well it sounds good. It's a deal then" I said.
"Okay then you should go now" she said with a little sadness in her voice.
"Come soon baby, I really miss you" I said.
"I love you Akash" she said after some time.
"I love you too baby" I said and disconnected the call.
When I turned around, I saw Sid talking to someone on phone and had a small smile on his lips.
"Whom are you talking to?" I asked and ho got startled.
"It's just Kriti" he said a little nervously and hander his phone to me.
"Hi bhaiya" she chirped when I took Sid's phone.
"Hey Kriti, how are you?" I asked her over the phone.
"I am good bhaiya. I know you've already had a word with your lucky charm but even then I thought to give you my best wishes. All the best bhaiya" she said.
"Thank you so much Kriti" I said grinning.
We the heard the final announcement and bidding our final goodbye, I disconnected the call.
"Feeling better after talking to Siya?" Sid asked.
"Out of this world" I said grinning from ear to ear.
"Come let's go" he said and we went inside the exam hall.
There were a lot of students and on some faces I could see nervousness, on some I could see the excitement.
The exam ended after 60 minutes and since it was online, the results were displayed immediately.
Both me and Sid were selected for the next round which was supposed to happen tomorrow.
As soon as the results were announced, I called my mom first and informed her about it.
She was on cloud nine after hearing it.
I had an instant urge to talk to Siya but I couldn't call her. I had to wait for her call.
We then went to our flat to prepare for the next rounds.
The whole day I was waiting for her call but I didn't receive any.
When it was almost 11, my phone went off and looking at the caller ID, a smile came on my lips.
"Hey baby" I said as soon as I picked up the call.
"Hi" she said but her voice was sounding a little muffled.
"Hey Siya, are you fine?" I asked her worriedly.
"Yes I am fine" she said.
"Then why is your sound coming a little muffled?" I asked her.
"That's because I've got myself covered with 3 blankets and I am talking to you in a low voice so that my sound doesn't go out of this room. Mummy papa are in the next room, I can't take any risk" she said in low voice.
If I didn't hear her carefully, I am pretty sure I wouldn't be able to understand a single word she said.
I just laughed my heart out.
"God Siya, you know you are crazy right?" I said to her, still laughing.
"You'll never understand how difficult it is for me to talk to you and here you are laughing at my state. I won't talk to you" she said huffing.
"Okay okay...I am sorry" I said, trying to control my laughter.
"You know you are so cute. What would I do without you?" I said.
"I know" she said and I could imagine her grinning.
"How was your written exam?" she asked.
"Well me and Sid made it to the 2nd round and we've remaining rounds tomorrow" I said.
"Oh my god, I am such a bad friend, I didn't even wish Sid all the best today" she said sadly.
"It's okay baby, you anyways are under house arrest" I teased her.
"Akasshh" she said whining.
I just chuckled and said "well if you've time now, you can talk to him but do you know something, he also had a word with his lady luck like me today morning."
"Really? Who?" she asked all excited.
"You know her very well" I said.
"Kriti" she said instantly.
"How do you know" I asked her.
"I really think there's something cooking between them" she said in a very low voice.
"You think so?" I asked her.
"Yes" she said and I could sense her grinning.
"Okay we'll talk about it once you come back. Here talk to Sid" I said and handed my phone to him and he put it on speaker.
"Congratulations Sid" she said in a low voice but I could sense how happy she was for him.
"Thank you so much" he said.
"You had to get selected after all your lady luck wished you today before you appeared for exam" she said, teasing him.
"What's with both of you, shipping my name with Kriti" he said, trying to sound a little stern but failing miserably.
"But I never said any name Sid" she said.
Sid laughed nervously and said "I thought Akash must have told you, so I guessed you were talking about her."
"Oh god, do you know Siya, Sid is blushing" I said and laughed.
"No I am not" he said.
"Yes you are" I countered.
"Enough of your teasing Akash. Please let him study. The rest of teasing will be done when I and Kriti come back to college" she said.
"Siya" Sid said sternly.
"Sid" she said sternly. "Okay it's quite late now, I can't talk anymore. You people should know if I get caught talking to you both this late, my phone would be the 1st thing that would be snatched from me. I need to go bye" she said and we bid our goodbyes.
"She is such a darling" Sid said.
"Yes, but my darling" I said.
"Yeah yeah, 'your' darling" Sid said.
The next day came sooner than expected.
I was waiting for Siya to call me but she didn't call me and instead she sent me an all the best text message. I couldn't ask her for anything more as I knew how difficult it must be for her to talk to me.
We then waited for some more time and by evening me and Sid were totally worn out by the no. of rounds we had to go through technical, GD, PI and finally the HR round.
When the final results were announced, we both couldn't contain our excitement as we both got selected.
I called home and informed both mumma and dad about it.
They both were very happy and proud of me.
I so wanted to call Siya and inform her about it but I couldn't risk it as it was already late.
By the time we reached home, it was already half past 10.
Sid got a call from Kriti and they were talking when suddenly an idea came to my mind.
I can't call her but I am sure Kriti can call her, that shouldn't be an issue.
I immediately snatched Sid's phone and said to her.
"Hey Kriti, I need your help" I said.
"Well hello to you too bhaiya and congratulations on your placement" she said.
"Thank you so much Kriti" I said and I immediately regretted that I didn't even ask her how she was and without thinking anything I asked for her help.
"I am sorry, I am fine" I said.
"It's ok bhaiya, I understand. Now tell me what help do you need" she asked me.
"Can you please Siya, you know I can't call her as it's quite late now" I said.
"Hmmm...okay but there's a condition" she said.
"What?" I asked her.
"Nothing much, I want a handbag from the latest Prada collection" she said.
"Okay I'll give you one once I get my first salary" I said smiling.
"Promise?" she said.
"Promise" I said smiling.
She then called Siya on her no. and we were on conference call.
Her mother picked the call. Thank god I didn't call her otherwise Siya would be dead today.
"Hi aunty, can I talk to Siya please?" Kriti said with honey dripping from her mouth.
"Yes beta, she is in her room and just left her phone in living room. Let me give it to her" aunty said and I could hear some footsteps, indicating that she is going to her room.
"Hey how come this late Kriti?" she asked.
"Guess who's on the line?" she said.
After thinking for a few seconds, she gasped "No way" she said, all excited.
"Yes way" Kriti said and chuckled.
"Hope phone isn't on speaker and you are alone in your room" Kriti asked to be sure.
"Yes" she replied.
"I got the job" I said as soon as she confirmed that she is all alone.
"I knew it congrats. I need a treat" she said.
"Of course baby, just come back, I really miss you" I said.
"I miss you too" she said in a low voice.
"Oh come on you guys, stop romancing on phone. It's just 12 days left now and then we'll be back to hostel" Kriti said huffing.
"Yes I know, that's what I am waiting for" she said.
We then talked for some more time and then disconnected the call.
As usual I couldn't talk to her properly because these two monkeys kept on teasing us like hell and in return we too teased them to death.
I just really want these days to get over with.
These days, away from her are actually making me realize, how difficult it is for me to live without her.
I don't know what the future holds for us, but one thing is for sure-she's my life and I can't live without her.

How did the chapter come out?
Well I took some real life experience from my hostel life for penning down some scenes like the talking at night and also the conference call because I used to help my friends a lot when they couldn't reach their girlfriends.
It used to be so much fun. I am sure, many love birds have gone through this situation, at least once in their life.
