Hanabi's P.O.V
"Hanabi..."
The entirety of my body wavered, I was barely aware of the tears that slithered down. If people could die from a broken heart I'd be a cold corpse by now. The jolt of pain that encroached my heart was indescribable. The pain was demanding to be felt to point where I was out of breath.
"H-how?", my tear-stained eyes darted to my arm, then I glanced up at the two of them in horror. The man had blonde hair and blue eyes, the woman had dark hair and murk eyes.
A Namikaze and an Uchiha...
"You have the appearance of a Namikaze and the dōjutsu of an Uchiha"
My brain throbbed as it tried piecing everything together so I could get the full picture.
There was so much to consider. So many emotions encroached my heart except exhilaration. If we were ever supposed to meet, then why under these circumstances? I wish we'd have met in the afterlife than like this.
The woman started shrieking as if she was trying to resist something that's overcoming her consciousness.
"...Hanabi...", my eyes darted to the blonde man, "say something...", he softly said, a faint smile on his face.
My tongue was knotted, the most I could muster up was a string on heavy panting. The longer I stared at them, the more I felt my chest tightening. I had given in, I fell to my knees, still staring at them, then uncontrollably I began crying.
My cries had echoed back and forth, rendering everyone silent. Both of my fists were balled on the ground.
"Why?", I breathlessly whispered, pounding a fist in the ground. My knuckles would eventually turn red, making me wince as I kept crying.
"What do you expect me say?", I spoke, my heart tightened at what I divulged next, "I have nothing to say! I'd spend long nights praying that I meet you someday so I can tell you about everything! I wanted to tell you about the good, the bad and the neutral, but I knew that'd only be possible if I die".
My muscles altered rigid and calloused as I carried on, "I made sure that I'd have plenty to say to you. I've made sure to let you know of how talkative I am, but..."
My face burned red as I contemplated whether I'd wanna look them in the face. Hesitantly, I slowly chinned up with trembling shoulders. I dared and stared them directly in the eyes.
"Now that you're right in front of me...", I choke on my breath, unable to form the right words. I grit my teeth and pound a fist into the ground again. The stinking tears made me clench my jaw as I hissed the following words.
"I'm unable to say anything...", I shamefully admit.
"Hanabi..."
"I don't know what to say to you other than...", my breath hitched in my throat as I stared back at them, then I whispered the next sentence with all the integrity in my heart, "I miss you..."
"Oh darling", my mother said, putting my heart at ease a bit. Orochimaru and stood back and took in the current situation. I could care less about what could happen to me at this moment. I forced myself to my feet, with a pounding heart. A small smile lifted my cheeks and I covered my mouth with my hand.
The sound of my steps echoed loud and lucid as I couldn't help the exhilaration that radiated off of me. They were looking at me in anticipation. My mother and father extended their arms out for me. They were both smiling and I couldn't help the tears that rolled down my face.
I have always loathed the nights, which I spend alone. With no one to call my own, no one was left to fill in the continuously growing cavity in my heart.
"The void in my heart, which is due to your absence would sometimes become unbearable...mother, father", I inform, the sight of me was overwhelming for them as well. Their was a distant voice which seemed to emanate from Orochimaru, but I was too focused on my parents' faces. Busy trying to match who I resemble the most.
"Dog"
"Darling, you look exactly like your father", mother remarked, her eyes teary.
"But it's clear that she got your temper, Ichiko", father said.
Hayate and Ichiko...I'm their daughter, they are my parents...
"You've grown up so much", father smiles, tears streaming down his face.
My feet began to hasten, my heart was skipping several beats at a time.
"Horse"
"Hanabi, we love you with every bit of our hearts", mother says, making my eyes bleary.
"And don't forget to take care of yourself, I'm sure you'll find someone to fill the void. And I'm sorry, sorry for not being there...", father's blue eyes looked exactly like mine, "but I hope you forgive me because I will never get a chance to be there..."
"No"
"Dear, whatever it is that awakened your Sharingan..", mother began, wiping away her tears, "we want you to remain strong".
"we want you to know two things...", she said, making me hold my breath from anticipation.
My eyes darted over to my father as he spoke, "first, you are the daughter of two formidable shinobi, who fought bravely in the Third Ninja War.."
"And second", my mother cut him off. Then they exchanged a glance and said their last words in unison, "we love you with every bit of our heart..."
"Tiger"
My feet had began to involuntary run, but I wasn't as fast as usual. Tears had blurred my vision as I sprinted towards them, heading for one hug. Only one, and I wouldn't ask for anything else.
"No!", I cried out loud, my plea echoing along the walls, "don't leave me!".
"Release!", Orochimaru's voice had cut through my thoughts and notions. My eyes had widened in horror when their bodies began flaking away, their souls being carried upwards by forces bigger than us.
I was too late. I didn't get the one hug I so desperately wanted to savor for the lonely nights. By the time I'd sprint and engulfed them in a hug. The only thing that I was hugging were two dead corpses, which belong to two unfamiliar faces.
I'd leapt away in horror, then fell on my knees again.
"We love you with every bit of our heart..."
"Damn you!", I pounded a fist in the ground and cried uncontrollably, "I hate you!", I screamed at Orochimaru and lunged in his direction with fury.
"Wind Style!", I hissed, my eyes still tear-stained, "Air Blade Strike!".
He was laughing uncontrollably when out of the blue he opened his mouth wide open. A serpent instantly sprang from his mouth, taking me by surprise. The air blade sliced his serpent in a flash, rendering him stunned. I took a moment to admire my father's Jutsu.
Instinctively, he jumped away at the nearest opening. When my hand collided with the wall, I made sure to mark it with my Technique Formula.
Abruptly, I heard one more retarded laugh from Orochimaru before a large python snaked around me, its body restricted my movement, rendering me immobile.
"Oh Hanabi", he said, treading closer towards me. He licked his lips with his gruesome tongue and said, "the only person you should hate is Danzo".
I stopped resisting free from the python's clutch and glared at him.
"What is that supposed to mean?", I growled, my patience running thin.
"You're as clueless as ever", he smirked, and motioned for the python to loosen.
The python had come undone as I frowned at him with every bit of hatred I could muster up. The sight of my parents never left my mind one bit.
I might not get another chance to escape this place. I can't tell if he's tricking me or stalling, but according to my sensory skills, it was concluded that the Root Anbu aren't waiting outside like they said they will. A lightbulb eventually went off in my mind when I recalled the marked location with Minato's kunai.
Without wasting another second I hissed under my breath, "Lightning Style: Flying Raijin Jutsu".
I didn't even get to see the expression on Orochimaru's face, since I was simultaneously sent into the faster dimension which would eventually teleport me to the marked location.
Except, the marked location I was delivered to wasn't the place near the Hidden Leaf village...
Confused, I quickly scan my surroundings. Alarms immediately went off in my head when I found myself on the edge, staring straight at the two statues that opposed each other.
The Valley of The End...
"How?!", I said to no one in particular, still perplexed, I inspect the surroundings for Minato's kunai. Everything is getting more knotted up and confusing, which was making me all the more frustrated with myself.
A threatening voice sliced through my train of thought, and a chill strewed upon me. Fear contorted my face when Danzo asked, "Looking for this?".
I whipped around my shoulder, only for my eyes to fall on Danzo and the four Root Anbu which lead me right into this trap. When my eyes found Pika's mask, I began understanding the full picture completely.
I felt real horror scatter within me, which resulted in the forming of goosebumps. Darting my eyes back and forth from Owl to Pika to Mongoose then Fox, I had no choice, but to accept the fact that I've been tricked yet again.
The whole 'ask-the-Hokage-to-send-back-up-if-we-didn't-return-within-four-to-five days' was just a part of their elaborate trap. Which I fell right into, yet again.
They knew too well that I'd teleport to the location marked with Minato's kunai..
"You snakes!", I spat at them, all the fear being channeled into indescribable anger.
Danzo picked up Minato's kunai, which was perfectly pierced into the ground.
They've outsmarted me...
I was about to lunge forward and hit him when my eyes caught onto something. My face scrunched with anticipation and confusion. His usually bandaged eye was exposed, revealing the intricate pattern of what appears to be the Mangekyō Sharingan.
How could he possibly posses the Mangekyō Sharingan in both eyes?!
"You'll pay for what you did", he rasped, putting me on alert.
"Shut up you foolish geezer!", I shouted at him and pounced forward, letting my anger take over completely. I prepared the Wind Blade Strike and pelted it towards him. He wasn't even making any effort in trying to dodge the attack, because he simply knew that one of his underlings would jump right in front of him.
That's right, Pika leapt right between my attack and Danzo, making her the victim of the Wind Blade Strike. The attack pierced right through her chest, leaving a visible cavity. She gasped, and so did everyone else. Her mask eventually collapsed, revealing the face of a girl neither older nor younger than me.
However, I was too livid to let my sentiment take over. This man had been the source of misery for not only Itachi, but almost the entire village. And if it makes me a criminal if I kill him then I wouldn't mind.
I leapt back just as the girl known as Pika collapsed on the ground. Fox and Mongoose cried out her name in concern. Looking down at her, she shed one visible tear before her consciousness faded into oblivion.
Danzo simply walked over her stoning body. With my Sharingan, I inspected the body language of the remaining three Root Anbu. Owl seemed indifferent as usual, completely contrasting the way Fox and Mongoose were acting up.
They were...crying?
They've both rushed to towards the dying girl.
"You'll pay for this!", Fox growled, his shoulders were trembling.
"You sure know how to strike a nerve", Owl remarked, his arms crossed over his chest as he stood next to Danzo, "only this time, you're paying for it with you life".
"Shut up you underling!", I shouted.
Simultaneously, Fox and Mongoose threw a string of sharp shurikens and kunais before lunging forward towards me.
A single drop of rain, which landed on my cheek gave me a notorious idea. The clouds have assembled in the manner that suggested a thunderous storm.
This was a bit risky but I am willing to take the leap.
"Danzo!", I yelled out as I flickered between Fox and Mongoose. They were desperately trying to catch up with my speed. I simultaneously flickered back and forth between them, then I shifted my entire weight on one leg before spinning my other legs and kicking Mongoose in the temple.
With the opening being created, I used the opportunity to pinpoint my chakra at a single point in my chest, then releasing it simultaneously as the Fireball Jutsu.
Before I jumped away from the scenery, I witnessed the shock on Danzo's face. The fire was obviously a decoy. I glare up at the sky and smile triumphantly when I see a pouring amount of rain on its way.
I'd gotten into position already, as I wickedly smirk at them.
"Lord Danzo!", Owl called out, "retreat!"
Damn it! He knows what I'm going for!
Nevertheless, I'd managed to out outsmart them this time. Channeling my chakra into my palm, I couldn't help the smirk that appeared on my face.
Abruptly, a blindingly bright Chidori appeared in my palm. Of course they would think that I'd use the Chidori Stream, a predictable move occasionally performed by Kakashi.
But this is my special gift to the Foundation Organization.
"Lightning Style: Flickering Chidori!"
Unlike the Chidori Steam, the Flickering Chidori needs the aid of the rain droplets to function properly. I held out my handful of Chidori open in the air, where it utilized the still falling raindrops to travel throughout the place.
With my Sharingan, I saw how each sparse spark from my Chidori caught the rain drops in motion until they eventually managed to electrocute Fox and Mongoose. The sparks would eventually catch up to Danzo and Owl, who desperately tried to dodge the lighting sparks.
I channeled more chakra into my palm to strengthen the flow of the Chidori. Once a decent amount of Chidori managed to electrocute everyone, I instinctively shielded myself from my own attack.
That was done when I channeled chakra into both of my palms to create the Wind Blade Strike right after I was done using the Chidori. My Sharingan enabled me to see every single Lightning spark that headed my way. I saw every bead of rain and how the lightning spark traveled through it.
Utilizing the Wind Blade Strike, I rotated around in a fast motion, my natural speed aiding the cause. After a moment, the lightning threat around me was completely eliminated.
I'd heard Owl, Fox and Mongoose writhe in pain.
"Serves you right", I snickered, once the coast had come clear.
They were lying on the ground, not necessarily dead, only paralyzed. My eyes trailed to where Danzo was supposed to be lying as well, instead, he was on his feet. Alive and well.
This time, he was the one taking me by surprise when he lunged towards me. I was rendered immobile, since I'd replenished my chakra with the last couple of attacks.
When my eyes connect with his Mangekyō ones, I'd cursed myself for letting myself get ensnared in his Genjutsu.
"I told you you'll pay a pricy cost for your stunt back at the Uchiha district!", he snickered, his nose crinkled in disgust.
What he showed me in this Genjutsu were his memories.
His specific memory of how he killed my parents...
"Stop!", I yelled out loud, my entire body trembled in fear as it rained upon me.
"Stop it! Stop it! Stop it!", I was pleading at this point.
The image of my father getting pierced with various kunais and shurikens made my heart pound. The sight of my mother's eyes being plucked out of their sockets made mine widen as I screamed at the top of my lungs.
My continues screams echoed round and round along the Valley of The End endlessly.
My parents dropped dead, their final words to the crying Minato who held me tight in his arms were to look after me...
"Stop!", I sobbed harder when I realized that the eyes I'm currently looking at are my mother's eyes, which were torturing me mercilessly.
After the Genjutsu lasted for what seemed like an eternity my drenched body dropped to the ground, completely immobile and exhausted.
"How dare you-", I shrieked as I recalled the gruesome sights he showed me.
He is the culprit, he killed my parents...
I cried hysterically and curled on the ground. Before I knew it, I'd passed out from the shock, that last thing I saw were my mother's eyes.
Which no longer belonged to her...this was the epiphany of death...
