Narrator's POV

You recently moved from Hyōgo to Tokyo because of your father's architecture job. He recently received a promotion that was impossible to ignore which was unfortunate since you had to leave your friends and life behind. Your mom refused at first, because she knew how this would affect your grades and happiness but soon realises how beneficial it would for you to experience a new environment before university. Since, you were the kind of person who valued their parents and wouldn't like to disappoint them, you'd often lie to your mom whenever she'd ask how you were truly feeling. The truth is, you didn't know how to feel. You were stuck between two mindsets. One that conveyed your childish sentiments and the other was the one that regarded mature, rational thinking.

You moved into a fairly wealthy area where the houses are classy, modern with a very admirable viewing. You lived by the end of your neighbourhood, next to an impasse. It was a five bed-room pillared house with three bathrooms, two garages, two living rooms, a 425m oval shaped pool and beautiful vegetables garden your father begged for. The house was painted with solemn walls, and marbleised flooring.

Your room was pretty plain, unfortunately. It's not like it was any of your fault. Your mother simply didn't want you having led lights hanging on the ceiling with cloud like decorations and fake veins and leaves all around the room. Not to mention those "horrific" you used to hang of your favourite singers and anime characters. Your Mom would never approve of you having a room that, in her eyes, belonged to a nine year old girl.

You had spent the last week of summer break at the house, studying and catching up work you had missed in the first term which was pretty given the option you chose and having no guidance nearby. You could've played it off in the first week as the person who has no idea what she's doing to then be helped by the whole class but you wouldn't dare create an image as horrifying as lying. Especially not at Haikyuu College, the school of schools in all of Japan.

It is one of the best schools in the country. It was known for their athletic achievements and performances. Your father sent out months in advance your grades and solos to the schools, in the hopes that you'd make it in as you'd receive the opportunity to work with the best teachers and instructors.

The night before your first day of school was nerve racking as you were having another episode of the "what ifs" but it wasn't all. Something that bothered you more than a simple first day was taking the train. You absolutely hated public transport because they contained a lot of bacteria as well more individuals in tight spots, causing more bacteria. The thought of someone accidentally sneezing, coughing, vomit, burp or fart in the same space as you petrified your poor soul.

Of course, the moment your mom found out of this phobia, she immediately sent to the doctor to be examined. They observed that it's simply germaphobia and it wasn't anything severe though, it is something that would time to conquer. For the past few years, they are convinced that something must've triggered you when you were younger that scared your brain into panic mode to have such a phobia present after years of aide.

Y/N's POV

It was six in the morning and of course I managed to wake up 30 minutes before my alarm went. Yay me. I don't understand why am I so stressed or excited for the first day of school. It's going to be like every other school. Students, competition, hotties and ugos, drugs, sex and alcohol. No in between.

Aggressively, I kick out of bed and go straight to the bathroom to go begin your morning routine. Think of the most basic routine and minus three products. I would love to pull a full skin care routine everyday of my life but that comes with a hefty price of waking up early to be on time for school.

My routine looks a little something like this:

- Take a shit
- Wash hands
- Wash face with good skin care scrub
- Put a doable moisturiser
- Massage face with fingers
- Pick off uniform that from desk
- Change into said clothing
- Coif hair until satisfied
- Middle part the hair and tie it into a bun
- Pull out two strands in front
- Apply f/ fragrance + deodorant
- Pack backpack
- Head downstairs for breakfast

(Sorry but I won't be using Oukasa and Ottosan for your parent's name because I lowkey feel like it sounds so wrong when I read, idk if it's just me.)

I skip downstairs and saw that mom had already set the table for dad and I. Dad already ate without me. I'm assuming he's late for work as I'm looking at him dress into his coat and shoes.

"Dad, aren't you going to say goodbye to me before you go?" I whimpered, reaching the last step of the staircase.

"Sorry Y/N, I was just in a hurry and you seem to have come early than I expected," he apologised.

"It's because of my stupid brain that somehow always manages to wake up before the actual alarm," I dramatically sighed. "Well, let me not keep you waiting. Bye Dad, I love you," I continued making my way to go sit down at the kitchen counter.

"Y/N, don't forget to hug your father. The deal," mom glared at me with a sassy tone.

Ah yes, the deal. Mom wanted me to stop being a germaphobe because it took a toll of her life since I'm not the easiest daughter to exist. The deal was that I'd have to start getting over my "mental illness" by trying to new things that involved physical contact and interactions just so I could have my parent's complete when going out.

A deals a deal and I never back down a challenge. Solemnly walking to my dad, I wrapped my arms around him and waited five seconds. My mom always timed me to make sure I didn't cheat which I found rude, not trusting her own daughter.

Once  Dad left, I marched back to the counter and sat down to quickly drank my breakfast.

"Sweetie, don't you want to eat something a bit bigger than that smoothie?" Oh how I wish this question was rhetorical.

"Mom, remember that I get a little claustrophobic when I eat a big breakfast and wear a mask straight after for the rest of the day," I reminded her.

"Yes, but I feel like you could eat a little more that, don't you think you could something a little extra?" She pointed at the bowl of fruit. Sometimes it's like I'm talking to a Dory because each time I voice my opinion or worries out loud, she manages to forget or as is like to call it, ignore.

"No, I'm good. Plus this could be a good diet for myself since I've gained quite a lot of weight, not dancing for a long period..." I rejected her offer.

I quickly finished drinking my beverage and went upstairs to brush my teeth. Spending ten minutes in the bathroom, I finished freshening up and went downstairs to put on your shoes.

"Sweetie, don't forget the bento  I prepared for you," she said walking towards me.

"What is inside?" I questioned. I wouldn't say I'm a picky eat but that her certain foods don't fit my palette.

"White rice with Komatsuna and Amazake..." she hesitatingly answered.

"Okay, that's fine." I grabbed the bento from her hands and put it in my backpack. I dearly hugged her and quickly left for the train.

After going through a traumatic experience of taking a 20 minute ride, full of people who were crowding me and not giving me any space to breathe, I managed to get to school. And who says God isn't real?

I walked by the gate and asked the guard that asked the students for their ID to guide you where the directions are to go to the reception and to identify who's present throughout the day. He gladly asked one of the students to guide me inside. The student didn't seem to keen to do this task but I didn't care. It's your fault for existing.

"So what year are you in?" he decided to break the silence.

"I'm in my third year and you?" I asked to try and seem polite.

"Same. So I'm assuming we are going to see each other a lot more often," he smirked.

"I guess so..." I muffled, feeling the atmosphere getting uncomfortable. Weirdo.

After three minutes of lazy small talk, we managed to arrived at the reception. I can finally get away from him. What's with him and walking awfully close to my arm? Did he want our arms to link so we could have connection? Wait, what if this is all in my head and I'm just obsessing over interaction without releasing it? Damn...I really need to get out more.

"Thank you for taking me," I pulled elegantly smiled, lightly bowing down.

"You're welcome and before I go, may you please repeat your name to me?" He asked as he was about to turn his back on me.

"My name is L/N Y/N."

"My name is Miya Atsumu, remember that," he winked me goodbye.

Good lord shit...why did he have to do that to me? Eye seducing and a lick lip? I've lost I didn't even know I was part of Now, I have this sensational feeling that I must see him again and vouch my love to him. Ugghhhh. Well, at least he's hot. Really hot.
