Sexuality can definitely be confusing, complex, and is often misunderstood. It is without saying, extremely important to respect all the different and diverse ways that people can sexually identify as, even if it does not make sense to you or you do not understand it. I know that I, as well as many people in the same community felt confused and uncertain when coming into terms with our sexuality especially at such a young age. I identify as gay and first started to feel my attraction towards other males as early as middle school. Not only did I have to deal with the same adolescence problems as the rest of my grade, but being open about sexuality was not an easy topic to bring up. There were not many available open resources for me in school in 2013.
