I embraced my Little Dipper and kissed the top of his hair. "Of course." was all I managed to say.

Dipper sighed with relief as if that's all he needed to hear. After sitting like that, holding each other, and listening to the heartbeats of one another I pull away. I gaze fondly at the nineteen-year-olds big brown eyes which stared back into my piercing white ones.

What have I gotten this poor boy into?

This boy still has a full life ahead of him, he doesn't need me to barge in and ruin it. I knew this wouldn't work. I need to back out of the whole thing, for his sake. Nothing good comes out of falling in love with a demon. Slowly, your life falls apart. Next thing you know, someway somehow, your short life has ended.

But I needed Dipper for my sake too. I promise to keep Dipper safe, no matter how risky. Dipper glanced down at his shoes and blushed.

Damn, it's cute when he does that.

I smiled and held out my hand. "Lunch?" I said with confidence despite my recent breakdown.

He took my hand and I rose gently, pulling him up. He also smiled and I put my finger to my lips as if to hush him.

"Don't scream, my love."
