The Night Fury- A modern HTTYD assassin AU

None of the art or characters in this book are mine unless I say otherwise! There will be a few OCs, but other than that, all rights go to... well, not me. I can't say for sure about the art, but characters belong to DreamWorks and Disney.

There will be RotBTD. I wasn't planning on doing it, but I put Jack in and then I needed a shooting instructor. By that point, I was pretty much like 'screw it, Imma just add Punz,' so here we are. Merida and Rapunzel will be OOC. Well, not too much, but I think that Rapunzel is a bit of a pushover and Merida is too arrogant/stuck up. I'm not saying that I dislike them how they are, but I prefer it my way. Sorry if you like them how they are, but this is my story so...

For all Hiccstrid shippers out there, I'm sorry! It won't be in this story. I promise you, Hiccstrid is an OTP of mine, but I couldn't find a way to make it fit that made sense. I put Hijack instead, because I also ship that (multishippers for life!).

I am so sorry if I accidentally stole anyone else's idea. Please contact me if that has happened, because I would like to apologize and give credit to the appropriate author. I've had this idea in mind for awhile, so I can't say if the ideas are original or not, but I don't want to be that person, so yeah.

I am not the most intelligent creature, and I don't have much knowledge of weapons. Most of what I do know  comes from fiction books, so the terminology and logic might not make sense. I did some research on guns and the like, but I'm not sure how accurate any of the information is.

This is kind of inspired by Iron Man. Tech-wise, anyways. I use the blue holograph-screen things and other stuff. Toothless is inspired by JARVIS. Hiccup is as smart as Tony (still crying), and he has a bunch of different suits, all of which Toothless can access and help him control. In this story, Hiccup has designed and created almost all of the tech for the Court. I don't want to say much more, because SPOILERS (lol I haven't written far enough for there to BE spoilers)

As I write this, I only have 4 chapters done, and I only have a vague idea of a plot. I'm not sure how it's going to end, or what's going to happen. I'm kind of making it up as I go along.

I am by no means a professional writer, and I will probably make mistakes. Please feel free to tell me if I do. If you have ideas for how I could improve, I'd love to hear them! 

Updates will likely be slow, because of school and other activities. Please feel free to yell at me if it takes more than a month or so for an update.

I will mostly write from Hiccups, Astrids, ad Fishlegs' perspectives. I'm not really sure, but I find that easier. Hiccup because he's a badass in the story, Astrid because she's also a badass (also, she happens to be of the female gender) and Fishlegs... honestly, no clue why. 

This will be written in first person past tense. I usually write in third person, so correct me if I accidentally switch back.

There will be abuse and slight trauma, but I will put trigger warnings at the beginning of the chapter. Please read at your own discretion! I have been fortunate enough not to have to go through any of what the characters have experienced, and most of my knowledge of these subjects are from other works. I do NOT mean to normalize anyone's pain or insult them. If I come off as rude or insulting, please tell me. Also, if anyone needs a random stranger to vent to, talk to, or ask for advice, my DMs are open! Just wanted to put that out there.
