How did they think of this name?
The reason was because, during their teenage years, they were facing some problems with their parents
Their parents were, hm. albeit controlling and manipulative
Their parents wanted them to be perfect. Perfect grades, perfect attitude, perfect manners perfect perfect and perfect.
Of course, Jeongguk and his hyungs knew that that was not possible. If it was, they'd practically be robots
So they rebelled against their parents
They cut off their ties to their families and bought their own mansion considering the fact that they were all fortunate in life
They named the house bangtan and considered themselves as "Members of the house of bangtan"
When Kim Taehyung, the second youngest asked why
Kim Namjoon, their leader said
"Because we are bulletproof. We were able to hold our ground when we rebelled against our parents and look where we are now. We are finally living a life of freedom. No more limitations. No more rules and regulations to follow. We can finally be who we want to be"
And so they stuck with that name
They were finally able to do what they never got to do
