i wish i would've known
my gullibility,
when i blurred the lines between
fiction and reality.i never cared
about who you were.
a name and a face,
but your nature a blur.and that was all i needed
'cause you never really mattered.
a waste of my time,
another distraction.you were perfect, i swear,
and the reason's plain to see,
you weren't a person,
you were created by me.you were what i wanted you to be,
you did what i said.
well how could you not?
you were in my head.you might've had opinions,
but that didn't affect me.
i was happy with the idea of you,
crafting your personality.and that's why i freaked out,
when i came out of my reverie.
you weren't who
i imagined you to be.i fell in love with
someone i designed.
someone who didn't exist,
who couldn't be mine.i told you i won't stop loving you,
and i stand by that.
i can never stop,
cause i never began.A/N: inspired by 'in my head' by ariana grande //
