He's always on my mind,
Like you once used to be.
How naive was I to think,
That you were my meant to be.
I spend my days talking to him,
His eyes are where I drown.
My heart feels so much at ease,
And I don't think I ever frown.
I don't know if I have moved on
From when there was an 'us'.
'cause everytime he makes me smile,
I remember, that used to be us.He looks at me like I'm the stars,
The same way you used to do.
But it's your brown eyes that I look for,
Not his ocean blue.
He makes my grey days clear,
And loves me more than you ever did.
But it's you that i want,
Even after all that you did.
It's really hard to move on,
From when there was an 'us'.
'cause everytime he looks at me,
I remember, that used to be us.It's his words that make my day,
Like yours once used to do.
I thought our love was everything,
That it was powerful, it was true.
I can talk to him for hours at end,
It feels just like a dream.
He treats me like a princess,
But wasn't I your queen?
I don't think I'll ever move on,
From when there was an 'us'.
'cause everytime that I'm with him,
I remember, that used to be us.A/N: So here's another one lol... This is actually one of the only poems of mine that I don't cringe at
