Ode to Memories

My mind's agony fades, when I close mine eyes;

My sense of sleep recall the days of thrall,

Like broken embers, they thrash amidst it all

Turning away the present making it obliterate in the falls,

I feel restless and too small;

Between phantasy and phantoms of my dream mellows,

I am half conscious, too bed-ridden in bedecked bellows,

Whence you sentiently assembled a drawl,

Of forlorn days of yore, scent reminiscent adore,

Take me naught to them, I will always implore.

Draw me near to leave aloft,

Channel mine desire only to wrought;

You have shown me some days too sound,

Swinging too softly, you made me go through the crowd

I sigh at the sight I speak of, only to be caught;

Within I see too many shards, so less of those chance playing cards,

Profound prayers wreck my psyche's bards,

Bittersweet my better half, best of all my years that have sought,

Of pains and memories besot, I sell some lies and truths to be taught,

You render me hopeless, sometimes without a cause,

But I stand on my toes ready to alter your laws.
