Caged Birds Do Not Sing

Bright plumes,

Myriad hues,

Chirp and trill

Sweet tunes.

Yet when caught,

In a cage;

The gold bar,

Isn't its stage.

Cries in fear,

Beats its wings;

Caged birds,

Do not sing.
