Chanyeol's POV (Point of View)
I sighed looking at my phone full of notifications. It were coming from reporters asking a lot of question, friends asking if Im fine and people I don't even know. I was trending again but this time it ain't good news.
"EXO Chanyeol got in to a huge scandal for the fourth time this year"
"Is this the end of EXO Chanyeol?"
"Fans started to petition for Chanyeol to withdraw from EXO Group"
"Is EXO Chanyeol an alcoholic?"
The headline says it all. I was trending again for another scandal. I drop my head on the head board of the taxi to ease my mind. "Would everything be fine and come back to what it was before?"
"Rnggg...rng....rnggg..." I grab my phone at my pocket. And the moment I saw that my manager was calling, I hesitated to answer. Well, he should atleast know my whereabouts.
"Yes!"
"Where are you?"
"You don't have to know."
"You can't just leave like that!"
"Hyung! I'm sorry. I don't... think I'll be able to make it up this time."
"Seriously? You don't have to listen to what other people say, that's what they like, they wanted to ruin you. You don't have to run from it."
"I'm not running Hyung! I just wanted to take a break. For once I wanted to have the peace I needed. This time I have to take a break to break through from it. I'll do my best hyung" I ended up the call and turned off my phone.
Tssss... I clearly told Xiumin not to tell anyone about my whereabouts. He even helped me find a place to be away and be refreshed.
I looked outside the window to freshen up my eyes. It was dark but atleast the moon was shining so bright that I could still see the trees, the fields and the moist of the coldness in the window.
This is what I have been wanting, the peace and the absence of the people's attention.
But as soon as we entered the border of the "Loeyse Town", the taxi driver turned off the aircon.
"It is really cold here" his hoarse voice sounded for the first time.
I just nodded in agreement to him. The coldness quickly swarm around my body and the quietness of the place add up to chilling me out. I suddenly felt uneasy, I can't explain how I feel. The moon was shinning so bright earlier but this time the clouds have covered it up and the place was in all dark. I can't see anything out of my window this time.
What did Xiumin got me into? He told me this was perfectly the place that I needed. I said I needed a quiet place not a scary one.
I didn't realize we already arrived. The driver stop infront of a big old house where there were no other houses beside it except for the field and trees surrounding it and the only light that was there was coming from the windows of the house and the flickering street light in front of the lawn of the house.
"are... are... you sure this is it."
"Yes. We are here already."
I can't step down. I tried to turn my phone on.
"That won't work."
I looked up at the driver and realize I haven't even seen his face before. He was driving me for hours and haven't even made an effort to talk to me. I started to feel unusual about him but looking back at the house it is worser and so I contemplated to get out of the car.
"Aren't you getting out!?" He sounded so mad emphasizing his hoarse voice.
I gulped "oh..."
I prepared the fare for him but still I was not ready to go out, not until I have touched his hands when I handed the fare to him. It was really really cold and that made me looked up to him but his face is not visible it was too dark and goose bumps started to creep on me which made me grab my things and quickly jump out of the car. I almost froze from coldness.
"SHHH... Xiumin! You're really dead!"
How am I suppose to sleep here. I gulped as I looked at the big old house ahead of me. I bet it would be rusty and full of webs inside and... I don't even want to imagine it. The more I looked at it the more I don't want to go in there but how am I gonna stay here like this?
I just arrived and I already wanted to go back. I looked back to where to car was and the car was already gone. And literally I was left alone. It felt like I was the only human being left here out of nowhere.
Then suddenly I heard a cracking sound in the woods as if someone was moving there. I looked around and everything was dark. Suddenly, a breeze passed by my nape startling all my nerve and muscle making me run toward the house.
The next thing I know, I was already in front of a huge wooden door and was already holding it's knob. Then I prepared myself to enter the house and to face my fate.
