Hello fellow fans, so if y'all haven't seen my announcements post, I was on Carmen Sandy Eggos's Discord server when someone posted screenshots of the CS book: "Secrets of the Silver Lion" which was released a few months ago. I don't know if it's just me who has been living under a rock or if it was just everyone, but ever since it's release, I haven't seen many people review it, or really just even mention it, so I didn't think it was super important, and therefore didn't buy it. Then I saw two pages from it.

That was a lot of emotion and story packed into just two pages. Of all the things I guessed were Player's Backstory, this definitely wasn't one of them, but I think they did a great job writing this scene. It very much deepens Player and Carmen's relationship, and just Player's characters overall. I also like how they mentioned how both Player and Carmen have past trauma and it does hurt to bring it up sometimes, because this is a topic that really could be developed deeper in the show, but since it's a kid's show, they don't. So by reading this, we're seeing this addressed, and I don't know, it just helps flesh-out the character and their feelings more.
So the question is whether or not this is canon. —This is most likely canon as it is from an official book, however there's no telling when this information will be shown in the show, or if it will ever be shown. I have a feeling they'd explore Player's backstory a some point, but maybe toned down a bit. Or I could be wrong, and they could explore it in even more depth. I hope I'm wrong.
Last thing I want to say is just, Y'all why did I just find out this information after posting a one-shot focused on Player and his parents? Like that's just so far from canon now, because his dad is a piece of garbage. Just pretend that it's his stepdad there. If y'all want, I can go back and change it. Anyways I'm still on a bit of a break from Wattpad but I hope to be back soon! Just had to make sure people knew this.
