Chapter 36

Pacing back and forth outside the staff room, Ross bit his lips. There was definitely no way that Lukas was a serial killer, that guy could barely kill a frog. He had been waiting outside for maybe-4 hours? He didn't bother to count, there were more problems at hand.

After Lukas had been arrested by the teachers from the girls, all the teachers were discussing on what to do. Having casted a spell on himself, Ross could tell that the teachers were playing lawyer and prosecutor and silently he hoped Lukas won.

Rubbing against his forehead, Ross sighed. Why now? Of all times the serial killer had to strike. There hadn't been any news from the murderer up till now, so to think they would pull up a surprise attack..

"That sneaky fellow."

"Ross."

The door had been open with they teachers exiting. Rufus's face was grim. Immediately, Ross knew the outcome.

"Lukas..."

Bowing his head, Rufus apologised, " I'm Ro but we couldn't save him. In three days time, the local police will come to take him away."

No, this can't be happening ..just..

Those were the thoughts that filled Ross's head as he returned to his room. Entering, he was met with a sombre air to the mood.

"Did they.." there was nothing left to say, realising the verdict, Theo slammed a hand against the wall. Causing a small vibration. " Fuck...fuck this shit."

Everyone had a troubled look on their faces.

"Its no use thinking about it now..." dismissed Theo as he got back to bed, although deep down he really wanted to interrogate Ross more ( Hell even Zin). Everyone hesitated before doing as told, getting back to bed. Their hearts heavy with worry.

(Morning , the next day)

The students were all in terrible moods. The younger junior's eyes were all swollen from crying till dawn.

Theo had left early so it was only Reius and Ross left.

"He's still asleep." commented Ross as he chugged down his cup of hot chocolate. Reius stared at Alexander, " It seems so." he said before returning to feeding Chibi.

*Bang*

Turning suddenly, Theo strolled in. Face contorted in fury. Taking a seat by his bedside.

"Zin won't tell me anything!" Theo crossed his arms, cheeks puffing.

'Theo kinda looks like a chipmunk....' thought Ross

*Clack*Clack*

The sound of something hitting the window, shook the trio out of their shock. Slowly, they turned around to find a man standing in front of the window, his feet balancing on the window ledge.

They stood there in shock before Chibi rolled his eyes. Climbing onto the window, he wrapped his small paws around the handles before using with all the little strength he had to force it open. Which he did manage only to be blasted onto his master's face.

The man on closer inspection was none other than Alfred. His face contorted in worry.

"Thank you very sir monkey now then where's his majesty?!"

The (idiot) trio pointed to the bed. Where the dozing beauty slept. Something (Finally ) clicked into (Peabrain) Theo's head, " Wait a second, why are you here?"

"Oh well, the prince you have here is a fake."

"WHAT!!!!!!"

They looked puzzled, " But his right there. Unless..." Reius slowly walked towards the bed, before conjuring a yellow wist, in no time 'Alexander ' disappeared only leaving behind a simple crystal necklace.

Picking it up, Alfred clutched the shard. "Great, first Jeremy and now Alex. Whose next, the pope?!" exclaimed Ross as he raised his arms in exasperation.

"Jeremy, whose Jeremy?" asked Alfred.

(Moments of explanation)

Seating in the beds, with cold towels over their heads were the gapping Theo and Ross who were in shock. Good thing they had the ice buckets.

"So this whole time we not only hosted 2 princes but 3?! and Jere-I mean, William is princess Eira of snowdania ?!" They were in disbelief and in ross's mind, ' That sucks.'

"Any way where is my master?!" asked Alfred. It was great to meet new people but seriously he was worried sick right now, especially with a murderer on the loose.

That got the mood down. Standing up, Theo suggested to search the room for any clues. They all agreed. Scrounging around the room, the group began to go through drawers, closets and storage space to search for anything .

Throwing out the clothes and books from Alexander's personal storage, Reius carefully picked up a gun. " Seriously a gun ?" Wrapping the gun with a napkin, he kept it safely within his pockets.

In the end, there was nothing. Sighing, they were on the brink of despair. Surrounding them were a mess of clothes and books.

"Should we ask William, he might know something." asked Ross as he picked up a dorm mates dirtied sock.

Theo shook his head, " Have you forgotten, we'll not allowed anywhere near the basement at the moment. "

"Then what about Oliver. We haven't heard from him yet." said Reius.

At this something clicked, scrambling up, Theo hurried over to Oliver's bed. Flinging the door of his storage open, he threw out all of its contents to reveal its oak wood flooring.

"Oliver, could he..." Muttering, Theo turned to the others, " Guys check this out." Moving in closer, Theo pointed towards a small detail in the wood. An intricate rose shaped key hole.

Alfred Rummaged through his pocket, revealing a simple bronze key with blunt thorns. " Allow me." Slotting the key into the key hole, seconds passed before a loud shuffling of mechanical instruments could be heard. Which came from the bathroom.

Grabbing an candle stand, Ross cautiously walked towards the source of the noise, the rest following close behind.

' Its like your trying to say, sacrifice him first!' thought ( Cried ) Ross internally.

Kicking the door open, they were met with a passageway.

"What the heck."

Casting a light spell, Alfred looked down. From where they stood, a winding step of stairs led down to the abyss of darkness.

' Could this be where he have disappeared too?" thought Alfred, contemplating the odds Alfred turned to the others, " You boys stay here. Its too dangerous, I'll go."

*Clang*

Just metres from hitting him, shattered glass pieces strewn the floor. The one who threw it was none other than Reius. Tears in his eyes, he scowled. " Just because we'll still teens doesn't mean that we can't do anything without you, Alfred and besides the one whose in danger isn't just your master but the school, teachers, classmates and our best friends..."

The last part was spoken softly but all could understand. Theo was impressed, ' he really has changed.'

Sighing, Alfred relented " All right but make sure that you'll be able to protect yourselves cause I won't be there for you always."

For a moment, Reius was stunned. This was the first time someone actually took his words as his own. Smiling, he nodded his head, " Sure."
