When we stopped Sven pulled out one of my ear buds making me jump and glare at him, he just smiled and got out. We were at the airport, I frowned. Sven and I weren’t leaving any friends behind we mostly stick to ourselves and other kids never bothered us because I believe we gave off the vibe that we might kill you if you come to close. Which is not necessarily the truth, but we liked silence so we didn’t bother to correct it. Even our teachers were scared of us.

“Ryiad come along.” Pa called seven feet in away from me. I jumped then ran up to my brother and Pater.

We walked up to the tickets lady and asked where we were suppose to be.I looked around the airport and shivered, I really hated crowds.

“Ry.” Sven looked at me, “You alright?”

“I’ll be fine, I just really hate crowds you know?” I sighed stuffing my hands in my pockets and checked if I had my laptop, which I did including the charger that I went nowhere without. It turned out that when we get to Oregon in America we were getting new computers.

It was fifteen minutes later when we boarded the airplane and Sven fell asleep on my shoulder while I just stared out of the window listening to my samsung galaxy 6.

When we landed we were in Oregon, and had two hours to drive to our new house that was originally our grandparents owned before Pa.

“Ryiad.”Pater looked at me as I had Sven sitting on my lap curled up and still sleeping.

“Yes?” I asked.

“Try to make friends this year, I know your brother and yourself are coming in later in the year and that might be hard, but try okay?” He said then turned back to the road.

I nodded saying, “I’ll try, I know Sven wants to make friends.”

“Good...And here we are.” Pater pulled into a long drive way the lead to a huge mansion that was overgrown with weeds and other plant life. “It looks like we have our work cut out for don’t we?” He chuckled then pulled into an imaginary parking place.

I shook Sven awake telling him we’re here and we need to go inside.

Pater had already went in leaving the door open for the two of us to come in. I snapped my head to the side when I heard howls in the forest, I was half tempted to join as I looked up at the half full moon.

Sven walked in the paused looking at me with a smile then walked in. I knew that he knew that I could feel the pull of the moon wanting me to shift. I was bonded closer to my beast side than Pa and my twin, so I felt the pull more to change than them.

“Ryiad!” Pater shouted, “Come inside, and lock the jeep doors.” He tossed me the keys, I caught them easily then went to go manually lock the doors.

I froze when I heard a growl ahead of me slightly, I stepped back and stared at the purple eyes watching me with such scrutiny that I felt on edge.

“It’s okay.” I said in English, “I just want to lock my doors.”

I made a move toward the jeep, and the wolf just stared at me as I locked my doors, like it got the idea of what I said which I found interesting. He or She might be a werewolf or a shifter like us.

I started walking backwards as I headed toward my house, when I reached the steps. I ran up them and shut and locked the doors.

“Pa!”I shouted.

“Yeah?” Pater shouted, “I’m in the kitchen finding out what needs to be fixed in this old mansion.”

I came into the kitchen after knocking into several pieces of furniture. “How does the water look?”

“It looks like it’s only good enough to bathe in, and we’ll be living with bottled water until I can find the well which seems like it needs to be severely cleaned out. The water also might be cold because the water heater is dead. I’m so glad my parents left us all that money.” Pa chuckled then handed me a protein bar. “Go pick a bedroom, your brother has already found his downstairs. Sven tells me the upstairs scares the shit out of him because the electrical system is shot.”

I nodded and unwrapped my bar as I walked to the stairs of the up stars, there as three flights to the top. I wanted a room at the top by a window where I could put my bed or something

I love the forest.

Sighing I started making the trip upstairs with my phone as my only flash light, I noticed there was a chandelier in the middle of the ceiling. It was huge.

I shined my light up there to get a better look, and noticed we had some little friends that were living with us for right now until we got the place fixed up. There was a family of ten fruit bats. I better not tell my brother about them until the morning.

Turning back to my trip up stairs I walked up them until I came to the last step of the third floor, I walked down the hallway and came to the last room. There was a message written on it saying (Don’t Open!).

I frowned thinking of opening it, but I better leave that for when it isn’t night. I mean if it’s a ghost or monster or something scary in there I can always fight it, but I would be worried about my little twin brother he wasn’t as strong as myself.

Smiling I opened the next one to the right of the door, I peered in then said a small spell making it light in the room where the lights are suppose to be. It was perfect.

There was already a king sized bed with drapes around it that were closed for some reason that I’ll find out in a moment, there was a nice mahogany desk that was large, but fiercely needed to be dusted and maybe scrubbed as I came closer to it. I recognized that It looked like there was dirt or something thicker. I hope it wasn’t blood, I wonder if someone died in this house. Maybe a lot of people have because it’s so bloody old.

I slowly crept over to the draped bed, and if there’s something dead on it, I’m not sleeping on it until I can scrub the hell out of it. I opened the drape and hooked it to the silver hook on the beam that was holding it up. I went to the other side and repeated the process then I went on the other side and did the same to those. There looked to be a lump in the middle, I took the end and pulled it off whatever it was.

I swallowed hard as I looked at a dead boy at least I thought it was until he started moving. He opened his yellow eyes and glared at me, for a while then shot a hand out pulling me into him.

“Child what do you think you’re doing awakening me from my hundred years of slumber?” He growled.

“Um...I think it’s been more of four hundred than a hundred.” I tried pulling back, but his tiny arms were made of steel or something and wouldn’t budge. “Um can you let go.”

“No.” He pulled me in and kissed my lips, my mind went blank as the boy turned into light then fazing into me. The next thing I knew I felt a sharp pain in my whole body, and I passed out on the bed.
