The next morning, Stormheart woke up and immediately checked on the kittypet. He stirred, but didn't wake up. Thank Starclan!, Stormheart thought.
She saw that he had bled through the cobwebs. She got up, careful not to wake him, and searched for more cobwebs. She also found a patch of marigold, and plucked a few leaves with her teeth, then returned to the kittypet, and applied the new poultice. The kittypet woke up around sunrise. He blinked. "Where am I?", he asked. "Don't you remember anything?", Stormheart asked him.
"No", the kittypet said, "what happened to me?". "You were attacked by a dog. You're lucky I was there to save your tail", Stormheart said.
"Oh, yeah", the kittypet seemed to remember what had happened, "thanks". "You're welcome", Stormheart mumbled.
"So, I don't think I got your name. I'm Bramble", the kittypet said.
"Oh, I'm Stormheart", she said.
"Cool", Bramble said.
"Should I take you back to your Twolegs?", Stormheart asked.
"I don't ever want to go back there. I don't belong in a house", Bramble said, backing away.
Stormheart stared at him, confused.
