One magnificent sunset and two strangers torn apart by their lives, but brought together to make a perfect whole.
Can Y/N and Spencer Reid survive against the ghosts of their pasts in this tale of two broken lovers?

Knowing if you ever were going to escape was a problem for a different time. Right now it was just you and Spencer.
A stranger, yet a companion.
Someone who shared this special place with you.
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
After your little encounter with the genius doctor, the two of you had grown closer as friends throughout the past week. While you still remained a bit reserved from the rest of the team – keeping your refusal to go out with them a constant – you and Spencer were able to hang out a few times every now and then.
Today, as you walked into the office and got yourself as situated as you could – still feeling just a touch out of place – your phone buzzed. It was an email from the seller of the apartment you were trying to buy. You unlocked your phone to see what the news was.
Subject: UPDATE Ms. Y/L/N, Something came up so I'll be moving a lot sooner than expected. The payments have been put in place and I'm heading out before the week is up. Feel free to move in any time after this Wednesday. Congratulations!
Sincerely, Linda Dunham (703) 555-3859 ldunhman1967◎gmail.com
You quietly did a little fist pump without realizing you had let out a little "yes!" at the news. It was really quite a cozy apartment that you had a decoration plan all set for. Your whispered exclamation caused the quiet doctor across from you to pick up his head out of one of his many books lining the border of his desk. "What happened?" he asked, matching your excited tone of voice.
"Y'know the apartment I really really wanted that I put in the application for a few weeks ago?" "I know of it." Spencer quipped back You flashed him a sarcastic smile, which was immediately taken over by a real smile as you told him the good news. "I got it!" "Woah! Congrats!" Spencer picked himself up out of his chair to high five you. "Thanks!" With your right hand on your phone, you subconsciously lifted your left hand to high five him. Instantly realizing your mistake, you put your phone on your desk, using your left hand as leverage to lift you up out of your chair instead, and high-fiving Spencer with your right hand.
You awkwardly settled yourself back into your chair when of course Spencer had noticed your little slip up. Spencer briskly walked over to your desk grabbing hold of your left wrist which was gripping the edge of the desk, pulling yourself forward in your chair. "Wha-" Spencer turned your hand over when you whisper-yelled, "Spencer!" "Y/N!" He whisper-yelled back in a disappointed manner. "Spencer what the fuck?" You tried to pull your hand back, but Spencer kept his grip. His left hand was wrapped around your wrist, holding you in place, while his right hand delicately draped over the back of your hand, keeping it open. No matter the situation, you couldn't help but relish in the touch of Spencer's hand on yours.
