Chapter 40 ‹Studio Recording›

Thanks for all the great ideas last week, I'll be trying to add much of it to the story as possible. Just a quick thing, although so many people suggested that I write from Kyo's prov my writing style in every single book I write is from the readers perspective. In stories, I just love reading and figuring our as the character does. Makes it more immersive and puts you into the situations the character is facing. (This is all my opinion of course)

Everything else 100% is going to be added in some way. ^_^

There was the sound of a door opening in the house. I groaned rolling over clinging onto Kyo.

"(Y/n) sweet!" It was Mum, she's back home early. Wait...MUM! Sitting up I looked down to my bare chest and blushed grabbing the pillow and slamming it into Kyos head.

"Hey what the.." I cover his mouth with my hand.

"Shhh, my mum's here! We need to get dressed or hide." I'd only managed to put another sized shirt on and Kyo his pants when Mum called out again.

"Hun is someone here?" She started opening my door.

"D-don't come in I'm changing!" There was a pause for a moment.

"Ok, I'll start on breakfast. You two must be tired from the school trip."

She knew, his shoes. I'm such an idiot. But she wasn't meant to be here until later today! Kyo and I were a blushing mess until I shook my head finishing getting changed.
Mum didn't say anything when we had breakfast. Saving me from the embarrassment of her talking about what she thinks happened last night. Just thinking about that makes me a tomato. When Kyo went to leave Mum stood by me at the door.

"Thank you for protecting my sweet (y/n) last night. Such a gentleman." She smiled squeezing my shoulders.

"Uh yeah. Thanks for the breakfast. See you at school (y/n)." He lifted and I crossed my arms at Mum.

"Way to make things awkward Mum." She grinned at me before my phone rang. It was Hinata. The recording!

"It's 11 already! I'm going to be so late!"

....

I was late, not super late but all the girls were waiting for me outside the recording studio when I came sprinting into the building.

"My god you look like crap," Kia said getting hit lightly on the back of the head by Hinata.

"Glad you could make it." She smiled warmly as I caught my breath.

"Had a long night with your boyfriend?" Ashido teased nudging my side and I blushed, that answering her question. 

"Ladies glad you could all make it." Rin said clapping his hands together. "Ready to finish this recording?" Both Ashido and Sato cheered raising there fists in the air. "That's what I like to see. Now let's do some tests before the real deal." The girls were setting up while I was drinking some water and doing vocal warm-ups.

"Say (y/n) what do you think about a photoshoot?" Hinata said and I froze on the spot.
"It would be for the album. You know to get our name out there. Rins contacted an agency and is also setting up some interviews." This is all really happening. It's kinda scary thinking about it. So much will change in the next few months but what if I'm not ready for all that change?

"I suppose it's fine. Although I'm camera shy."

"Yeah, I look like a potato in most photos." Ashido sighed, hand leaning into her guitar in shame.

"No you look bootiful it's me that's a sag of meat." Sato muffled out while eating something that I didn't know she had a moment again.

"Alright, lady's soundcheck," Ron spoke through the mic. Going one by one until I sang a few notes, we got started.

We did over ten full recordings before it was break time. In this recording studio there a two-way mirror which is turned on when recording so we're not distracted by the people listening in. Rin turned off the reflection and what surprised me was seeing Tohru, Kyo and Yuki standing behind it.

"Surprise!" Ashido shouted right behind me and when she grabbed my shoulders shaking me Sato pulled me out of the room.

"We wanted them to listen to the new song before anyone else." No wonder they were all giddy this morning. It would ha e been nice to know people were showing up though.

"This would have been nice to know before." I breathed out grabbing my bag when Tohru came running up to me.

"That was fantastic. You guys are amazing!" She was so hyped up and gave me a hug.

"Thanks, Tohru. Are you guys staying for lunch?" Glancing back to the girls they shrugged.

"Of course they can stay. Any friend of my love ladies is a friend of mine." Rin smiled walking out of the studio. "We've got lunch prepared today." Sato and Ashido cheered.

"Yay free food!" The pair pulled me forward to the breakroom. Getting away from Ashido and Sato while they started eating I went over to Kyo seeing the smile on his face.

"You sounded amazing." Blushing I smiled looking down to the floor in front of me.

"Thanks. I wish someone told me you were coming today. Then we could have walked together." He smiled softly taking hold of my forearm to bring me closer. Kyo kissed my forehead and I heard a squeal.

"You two are so cute!" Sato clapped making everyone turn. We separated going over to the table to have lunch.

The three of them didn't stay long after lunch. To make sure I was focusing on the music.
We finished recording about an hour before dinner. The photoshoot and interview were set for next weekend which I had to get ready early for.

"I can't wait to be dulled up." Hinata smiled trying to hold in her excitement as the five of us walked out of the studio.

"A princess for a day." Sato sighed pushing open the doors. "Oh hey (y/n) it's your prince." Looking up from my phone Kyo was standing by one of the light posts looking out to the sunset until hearing Sato's shout.

"I better get going. Mums making something special." Kia said waving goodbye and Sato jogged after her.

"See you all Monday." Turning back around Hinata was being dragged away by Ashido.

"Cya love birds." Letting out a long sigh I walked over to Kyo slightly disappointed that I didn't get to say a proper goodbye.

"What are you doing here?"

"I wanted to walk you home." Smiling I leant forward kissing him softly. " is that alright?"

"Great idea. We can stop by the store and get some mochi. I've been craving it all day." He chuckled at me letting me hold his hand as we walked.
